    John McCain == Endless War
  • grandma · 1 year ago
no but your sidekick Palin.....needs on the job training and a whole lot more
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Obama is very impressive. His command of foreign policy is stellar. All he had to do was hold his own, and he did far more.
  • arch3x3 · 1 year ago
Obama is hitting home that he want to help the average person and keep our standing in the world high.
  • Ginger_FL · 1 year ago
Grampy opens his mouth and his voter tracking thing takes a NOSE DIVE....
Obama starts to speak and the thing goes sky high!!

    Too funny!!!
  • Rab · 1 year ago
Obama held his own and in some cases won the argument. McCain just comes across as snide and condescending .and its laughable when he tries to run away from Bush. McCain's big flaw this whole debate was never looking at Obama
  • BarrieT · 1 year ago
Never looked at Obama or the camera.

    McCain = Nixon
    Obama = Kennedy

People only listening might think McCain won, Obama made the better impression on people watching
  • Webster · 1 year ago
    POW!
  • grandma · 1 year ago

  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
    Now the talking heads
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
They'll try and spin it McCain's way, but Obama held his ground. There's no question of it.
  • ZennButtKicker (tlhwraith) · 1 year ago
Obamas best performance to date. Spectacular job, I think. McCain, not so much.
  • Nick_the_Dog · 1 year ago

  • lucky hussein · 1 year ago
I heard mccain say 'every expert says al quieda will take over if we pull out..' filthy fucking LIAR!!!
  • sharksfansd · 1 year ago
After watching this tonight I can’t wait for the domestic policy debate, as Obama is going to clean his clock
  • 1stRepublic14thStar · 1 year ago
McCain is kicking Obama's ass. McCain kept calling Obama naive, uninformed, and inexperienced. He lied repeatedly. The best Obama could do was to keep saying "I agree with John."

Staying on message is critical. If Bush and McCain are so bad that we need "Change" then you don't agree with them on anything and you think they're wrong about everything.

McCain won by not dropping dead on stage and by calling Obama condescending names with no responses from Obama.

Did you hear Obama at the end? "Good job, John." What the hell? Even if you think so, you don't SAY it.

And Lehrer is a condescending jackass, too. Someone needs to put these moderators in their places and remind them that they are not the candidates.
  • Miket298 · 1 year ago
I think saying good job is being respectful, something McCain didn't show at all tonight
  • 1stRepublic14thStar · 1 year ago
Listen -- you will never hear any Republican call Obama heroic. You will never hear a Republican say Obama is right. You will never hear one say Obama did a good job. Republicans know how to win elections. Obama should win 49 states, and instead he's in a draw because he just can't go for the jugular against a clearly inferior candidate who's ideologically bankrupt, venal and corrupt.
  • lucky hussein · 1 year ago
agree, as i grit my teeth in rage...
  • ZennButtKicker (tlhwraith) · 1 year ago
You might want to listen to the commentators. I think the basic sentiment is emerging is more than likely a draw, probably Obama won it because this was supposed to be McCains big area.
  • grandma · 1 year ago
    Obama done good !!!!!
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Okay, Obama needs some one liners for zingers, something memorable.
  • The Tim Channel · 1 year ago
Obama should have mentioned McCain's special education in bank corruption (Keating). I don't understand the reluctance to point out that.

    Enjoy.
  • sharksfansd · 1 year ago
Wait for the domestic debate, as it might come out there.
  • Ginger_FL · 1 year ago
Can't wait to see the spin masters...

    Obama cleaned Grampy's Clock.

    OH!!! Tweety is HAMMERING Grampy...
  • strick9 · 1 year ago
I respect the fact that McCain served, so did my father , but that doesnt qualify him to be president
  • lucky hussein · 1 year ago
filthy fucking bastard mccain has the blood of thousands on his hands...
good god, how I wish nader was in this debate..
  • arch3x3 · 1 year ago
I was really impressed with Obama he really was straight foward. Kept it simple and drove it home he was for the average American. Really strong! Obama held his own and Mccain was supposed to be way better than Obama on foreign affairs.
  • Bubbles · 1 year ago
Jim Leher: Senator McCain, to spare our listeners how will you answer any question on foreign policy

Senator McCain: "A noun, a verb, and SURGE"

sprinkled intermittently with: Naivete and I'm old.
  • Webster · 1 year ago
God save us from the CorporateM$M pundits.

    Please.
  • lucky hussein · 1 year ago
mccain was against torture??? he's for the vererans??? WTF!!!!! fillthy fucking LIAR!!
  • arch3x3 · 1 year ago
I agree with the pundit Mccain was vague on the Economy.
  • Ginger_FL · 1 year ago
    Nora is spinning for McGrampy

    Buchanan...spinning for McGrampy.....

Not mentioning all the LIES Grampy was doing.....typical spinners....
  • donotmakemecomedownthere · 1 year ago
I thought Obama was intelligent and eloquent and somewhat arrogant in his control of the entire debate stage tonight.

Just the qualities I'm looking for in a U.S. President.
  • strick9 · 1 year ago
McCain is a complete LIAR, he needs to take his meds and go lay down, maybe Palin can finish for him
  • Ginger_FL · 1 year ago
Finally...voice of reason speaking now on MSNBC
  • lucky hussein · 1 year ago
I am fairly pissed off. Admit, I missed most of it, just the beginning and end and I did not like mccain telling his bull -goddam -shit all over the place! when oh when do dems body slam these filthy lies when they get the chance...americans need it so bad..
  • steve303 · 1 year ago
Obama gave too much away to McCain -- too many "John is right". Obama didn't mentioon Grahm -- which he should have or regulation -- which would have helped him in the economy section. McCain seemed unpresidentail -- confused at times. Obama won the Iraq debate -- McCain was channeling Nixon circa '72; I was waiting for him to say he had a secret plan to win the war
  • voxbear · 1 year ago
some may have heard "experience" when McCain spoke... what I heard was "old" and "obsolete." All his references were to votes and actions that were over 20 years old. STUCK IN THE PAST. He is still waging war against the Soviet Union. Obama showed he was in command of foreign policy issues.
  • strick9 · 1 year ago
i hate the armchair spin doctors, O did a GREAT job, and was a gentleman, as we all know he could have slammed McCain and he didnt.
  • sharksfansd · 1 year ago
Palin not accepting invite to CNN – Biden showed up. Anderson Cooper on Palin not showing up: “Don’t hold your breath on that one.” Nice.
  • TimTim · 1 year ago
A few things that really bothered me.

    1. Kissinger is quoted as saying less then a week ago that the US should be in open talks with no conditions with Iran. This needs media coverage.

    2. Why did all the armed forces donate to Ron Paul and not McCain? McCain has voted down veteran funding many times.

    3. Also that whole Eisnhower was a load of crap. The US needs to put more accountability into the things these people are saying, take them to task. http://www.archives.gov/education/lessons/d-day...
  • Forty2 · 1 year ago
WTF was McWalnuts on about with apparently thinking that Madeleine Albright was still Secretary of State? Did I mis-hear that?
  • check2check · 1 year ago
OBAMA WAS SIMPLY BRILLIANT 2NITE....McCAIN CONTINUES TO PROVE THAT HE IS HARDCORE MILITARY...IT IS HIS MAIN PRIORITY AND PASSION...HOWEVER I WANT A PRESIDENT WHO CAN BE EQUALLY AS PASSIONATE ABOUT SOCIAL SECURITY, HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION, ENERGY AND OIL, ETC...McCAIN GIVES ME THE IMPRESSION THAT HE HAS HIS FINGER ON THE TRIGGER AND HE IS NOT ABOUT TO MESS AROUND WITH ANY OTHER COUNTRY OR LEADER WHO DOESNT SEE THINGS HIS WAY...HE SEEMS VERY RIGID AND UNFLEXIBLE...I WAS SITTING WATCHING THINKING ..MY GOD..WE WOULD PROBABLY STAY AT WAR WITH SUMBODY IF THIS SO CALLED MAVERICK GETS INTO THE WHITE HOUSE..AND ITS A VERY SCARY FEELING... I COULD GO ON AND ON BUT ONE THING THAT STICKS OUT IN MY MIND IS THIS..............john mCcain said that the veterans know that i will take care of them...WELL I PROPOSE THAT OBAMA WILL TAKE CARE OF EVERYBODY..VETERANS INCLUDED!
