I am in total agreement. Backbone? I thought we elected these Congress people to effect change and return this government to some sanity, but NO starting with the speaker of the House right on down to the last rep they have consistently caved into BUSH. Enough is enough, throw their asses out, the only thing they understand is their own personal agendas, the are not representing the people.

I already voted for the only REAL democrat running in my congressional district in the primary. Unfortunately Pelosi won that primary last month. We must target Pelosi and Hoyer in November. In my district I'm willing to vote for the Independent Cindy Sheehan. Even if she's just a placeholder for two years so be it. I actually find it interesting that one of my former representatives was also a democratic speaker of the house. He was also the first sitting speaker since 1860 not to win re-election to Congress. It can happen folks. The key is that all of the top house leadership needs to be voted out; majority leader, speaker, majority whip, all of them.
