AMERICAblog: Did Palin pay $900 for a spray-on tan?

  • AtlantaKaren · 1 year ago
Jeez, I hope the RNC didn't pay for a Brazilian bikini wax too.
  • Fireblazes(CheetohsandCatfood) · 1 year ago
McCain would have to personally supervise that undercover operation.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
he's probably already one of the many who know what her real hair color is.

so the rug matches the drapes, and he found out when he was measuring the drapes???
  • Forty2 · 1 year ago
Once again, AmericaBlog commenters force me to go bleach my brain. Do you asshats have any idea how badly that stings?
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
don't snort it, pour it in your ear... it works better that way.
  • Fireblazes(CheetohsandCatfood) · 1 year ago
    It would make Kenny blush.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago

  • Patrick_Bateman · 1 year ago
The RNC should have paid for her to get a spray-on brain.

Wonder what my father thinks about all that dough he's been giving to the RNC and McWhack-o?
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
hmm... $900 for a spray on tan.

how much is airfare to Juneau? she has a tanning bed there.

then again, she probably figures if the mcsame camp sent her home... it'd be for good.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
I suppose the REAL questions here are...

of all the 'joe 6-packs' that are their 'base'... how many are on a budget... and do they see $900 for tan-in-a-can as extravagant?

...considering how many people are hardly paying their bills these days... how out of touch is a $900 tan?

yup, they speak for the 'average joe 6-pack' alright.

"Tans 'n' Lashes by Tracy?" Are we talking dominatrix here? Does Blackjack Bill Bennett know about this?
  • olandp · 1 year ago
What is going on here? I've been a hairdresser for over 25 years, these people are over paying for services. I would be a traveling hairdresser and make-up artist for a lot less money.
But I guess if it was for her I'd want even more.
  • Ginger_FL · 1 year ago
I love the smell of RNC meltdown in the afternoon !! ;P
  • BerkeleyMom · 1 year ago
Are these people completely devoid of irony? Paying $900 to darken Sarah Palin's skin while running a racist campaign against the bi-racial Obama. I guess the color of a real American's skin has to be not too dark and not too light but just right.

    Jeepers they are idiots.
  • wmforr · 1 year ago
I has to be artificial. That's the key.

Paying $900 to darken Sarah Palin's skin while running a racist campaign against the bi-racial Obama</>

Awe, Rats! You stole my thunder and even managed to avoid the profanity I would have used.

Yep! She's a bigot, hates N----- and yet, pays $900 to look as good as they do. <g>

Stevens convicted of Lying ...Who'da thunk that LOL.
  • Charles2 · 1 year ago
Well, there's already one pasty white guy on the ticket.

And what's up with a guy from Arizona being so darn pale? Don't they have like 300 days of sun a year there?
  • TXfemmom · 1 year ago
He uses Number 90 SPF because of his skin cancer.

He tells these stories about how he got the skin cancer from being a POW, but all the POW's report that they were isolated in dark, dank cells and were never outside. McCain grew up in Panama and all these beachy places where his father was stationed, but he has to milk the POW thing.

    OT...

my Husband is downtown in San Diego for the 'no on 8' rally... he's a bit depressed.

there's like 20-some people shouting no on 8... and 200+ with 'homosexuality is immoral' type signs... praying and singing.

he said it looks like churches got together their members and brought them all downtown.

    sad day for civil rights.
  • lucky hussein · 1 year ago
monday is a tough day for a rally, why not the weekend?
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
I have no idea... I think it was already decided by the jeebus freaks, so we were trying to hold a counter-rally.

needless to say, more of them turned up than us.
  • nicho · 1 year ago
Yeah -- the churches are pulling out all the stops on this. It's really their last issue to try to control other people's lives. So, they're desperate.
  • nicho · 1 year ago
Just got this from the No on 8 people:

    "Armageddon"

"More important than the presidential election"

That's what evangelical leader Charles W. Colson and Family Research Council President Tony Perkins said about Prop 8, calling it the "decisive last stand" in this morning's New York Times:

"California, they say, sets cultural trends for the rest of the country and even the world. If same-sex marriage is allowed to become entrenched there, they warn, there will be no going back."

So, they'll stop at nothing to provoke a final tidal wave of attention and money before the election.

  • exredstater · 1 year ago
With the mounting bad news for their campaign, McCain/Palin will have no choice but to go increasingly negative in their attacks. Anybody else see this leaked 527 spot?

Weird! I'm... well... not sure what to say. Anyone who watches this should pause it at the 'brought to you by':

The Border Security and Traditional Marriage Coalition

People Against Amnesty for Mexican and Canadian Undead

    Conservatives for Liberal Military Spending

    Wonderful news about Stevens...

    Next, Palin.
  • wtreat007 · 1 year ago
I've seen this effect before, various salons are now reporting that customers are so orange-looking that they are demanding their money back. Rumor has it that the deep tan on Boehner is caused by a similar treatment he underwent in WeHo that went slightly awry when his tanning "assistant" somehow mistook the "nozzle" for another similiarly shaped item. It can't be confirmed but there's a strong suspicion that at least one customer with the charactertic orange fanny has tried dunking his bottom into sudsy warm water at the local gym. We're hoping that more orange-bottomed folk come forward to tell their heart wrenching stories--Developing!

They use the spray on tan on the women on Dancing with the Stars, and the announcer said they used nine gallons of the stuff last season.

For a natural tan in an unnatural setting, consider vacationing in Florida. Bring money.

Just in case all of the residents of "Republican-Ville" haven't completely crossed the border and moved into "Utterly-Ridiculous-Ville" ("Republican-Ville's" closest neighboring town)...
    There's this...
    Because...
    After all...
The Vice Presidential candidate can't be havin' no...
    "Eskimo Tan."
Palin may not have any organized thoughts about complex and pressing national or international issues...
But at least the bitch is a honey golden brown...
    But make no mistake...
The strategic political mistake in all of this is...
    If...
In fact there are people out there, allowing their vote to be even partially guided by which candidate is in possession of the best tan...

Some fellow named Obama reportedly wins that portion of the competition pretty easily.

How long does a $900 tan last?
  • Latinamerican · 1 year ago
Come on people, don't be so mean on the lady. She is a very beautiful woman, face it. But if we as socialist marxist want to do the right thing for the USA, we should concentrate on electing Obama. Do not worry about $900 for tanning lotion and so forth. Just concentrate on electing Obama. He will definitely bring Karl Marx teaching to America as he quickly will become the leader of the socialist movement in the world.. Chavez, Moralea, Correa, Ortega and company can't wait. Go Obama.....
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
Pathetic! You are an idiot. Obama is nothing like a socialist. I only wish he were. That damn bastard takes the people money and his agenda is corporatist. Only thing is he is a far better choice than Bush/McCain/Palin who are Neo-Nazi corporatists. The charge that he is a socialist or Communist only has sticking power among nitwit bigots like yourself. Admit it! Your real objection is his skin color. Your idiot definition of socialist is that he is Black and therefore to your feeble mind that makes him an enemy of the white people. Slime your way back under your rock.

Excuse me, but $900 for a spray on tan? Exactly how long does a $900 tan last?

    Sarah Palin - butthead extraordinaire.

    Go to: www.buttheadpolice.com

Vote for her, and others like her to get an ass stamped on her head. It's funny. Pass it on. :)
  • UncleGlenny · 1 year ago
So then what's with the tanning bed?
  • henrythefifth · 1 year ago
Well you can't cart that thing around the country!
  • Kansaskitty · 1 year ago
Blech. She's sounding more like a Stepford candidate gone bad - it's apparently all about appearances. It's all about her now.

    Hoax alert!

The source for this story is a hoax. His site looks real but if you google him, he's a hoax. At one time he went by the name M Thoma Eisenstadt but when that hoax was discovered, he changed his name to Martin Eisenstadt.

    Here's a link about him at Sourcewatch.org

Was there not a buzz that Palin had purchased a (used) tanning booth while governor, possibly with state funds? It was in the beginning of her campaign for veep.
  • Wesinoregon · 1 year ago
She probably got it at Goodwill.
  • MrsTarquinBiscuitbarrel · 1 year ago
Click the link, and it's very interesting to note that Martin is quite a conservative blogger (take a gander at his blogroll!) who did the spade work to discover who did Palin's spray-on tan. And he sounds utterly disgusted at the RNC's extravagance. Mrs. Spray-Tanner's husband has a six-figure tax lien. Why am I not surprised by ANY of this??
