AMERICAblog: Did Rupert Murdoch get his lapdog George Bush to blast NBC for him?

  • SteamingPile · 1 year ago
Well, I'm not naming names, but some people get themselves "elected" President of the United States and then royally screw up everything they touch. People like that shouldn't be trusted with metal cutlery, let alone the largest economy on Earth.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Bush is the only President dumb enough to turn a one-week coup into a five-year war.

  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
You'd almost think some Hillary backers went to work for Bush.

    Very similar strategies, huh?

Shit! Are we going to have to start defending Tweety?
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Gillespie the Chinless has a lot of nerve, by the way.

This is the same administration that feeds Fox News and the Talk Radio Terrorists like Rush Limbaugh propaganda all day.

In fact, that's how they rode a moron to the White House.

Rupert Murdoch complaining about blatant partisan talk show hosts...
Look no further than your own Faux News, Rupe.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Wow, do we even know Olbermann is a Dem? Could he possibly be an independent with ethics? All these assumptions...

Most of the criticism toward Bush is about his mishandling of his regime, Iraq, the economy, etc., not the fact that he's a Rethug (although most of them tailed along like good little fascists).

Murdoch just loves the marriage of corporations and the state, that's all. Plus, he loves empire-building...and doesn't tolerate criticism of him while he does it and his surrogates cover for his agenda by pointing criticism elsewhere.

We've long wondered why KO is allowed to be on the air by the powers that be at GE. He goes balls to the wall to speak the TRUTH, on AIR, every single night.

It just doesn't seem very corporate-media-ish to allow one of their on-air personalities to speak truth to power.

OMG. I just had a thought. KO for President Obama's Press Secretary! YES!
  • Aanya · 1 year ago
What a bunch of babies! For years they could strong arm, intimidate, threat, and bad mouth! It just doesn't work anymore! How pathetic! Just think, in 8 months they can take their God Damn balls and go home! I don't want to see a single one of any of them, unless it's in a trial at the Hague!

So it's true--WAR CRIMINALS panic easily.

Deep down inside, they (and ALL righwingers) are WEAKLINGS!!!

Now is the time for all good liberals to...

    ATTACK!! ATTACK!! ATTACK!! ATTACK!!
  • Milli · 1 year ago
Are they fucking serious? Why don't they accept the fact that no one wants to listen to right-wing crap anymore?

If they're considering Matthews one of the blatantly partisan talk show hosts, the man who got a woody from Bush's flight suit, then they must really be sensitive. I hope, though, that this story shows those lefties and moderates who complain about Olbermann just how important he is. There's nobody else on TV even remotely like him. He's the voice of many, many severely underrepresented people.
  • Dianne_in_DC · 1 year ago
If Chris Matthews is partisan I'd like to know what party. They are upset because he took Keith James to the wall because he didn't know what Chamberlain had done to "appease" Hitler. And I agree KO is probably independent with ethics. The press is supposed to be the fifth column of democracy and keep the pols honest. Haven't been doing such a good job since Bush was "selected" in 2000.
  • Melthewriter · 1 year ago
Matthews is on the side of the people who are winning. If it is vogue to support Dems, he will do it. If most the idiots in this country want to view a man who went awol as a war hero because he can put on a flight suit, Matthews will slopper on him.

Two Clintonesque happenings today that have me very troubled and just adds to my disgust and making the Clinton complaint list even longer:

Ferraro's comments about Obama's alleged "sexism" and HillBilly's comments about the press (his appealing to the anti-intellectualism of the "masses"): "They all have college degrees and don't have to worry about paying for gas..."

Those sort of hit me...Hillary is married to one of the top sexists of all times (serial adulterer--after all, he only cheated on a WOMAN and used other women for his own selfish reasons), and the serial adulterer talking about college degrees and neglecting to mention that both he and Hillary both got top notch educations and have been considered intellectuals. He should have been preaching at those folks to get a education, so they could vote as rational human beings, not led by emotion, instead of dismissing people who actually do.

Not that I love the press, but as we've noted, there are a few good eggs left, and the rest will pay the piper at some point.

You can say THAT again, stranded!
    (So I did!)

KEITH OLBERMANN IS THE VOICE OF THE PEOPLE.

"blatant partisan talk show hosts ..."

It's blatant if the partisanship is against the GOP, but it's entertainment if it slams anybody else.
