I wonder what the most likely outcome will be? I'm doubtful that a court will find against McCain. They should, yes, but that hope assumes that we're living under a rule of law. I don't really think that's the case anymore. The court will attemp to find some innocuous middle ground. There isn't any, but they'll invent something that the DNC can then take to a higher court if they will. By then, the nominations will be formalized and the role of the DNC will be stabilized either with Obama or Hillary. We don't yet know where that's going. If the Sunday talk show remark about Obama channeling Dukakis sticks, the game is over and McCain will be the next president. The courts aren't going to stick it to the next president. There's too many loose threads right now.

I could be all screwed up, but I have mixed feelings here.

On the one hand, it's fun to yank McCain's chain and I'm glad Howard's doing it. On the other, I hope he doesn't push it too far.

We should watch out that McCain doesn't become a hero to the anti-election reform crowd in the GOP. Right now, people like Dobson are doing nothing for him, largely because of his election reform work. If he looks like he's "seen the light," that could change.

Also, Obama should be able to outraise McCain pretty easily, so it's to our advantage that McCain stays out of the system, so Obama can stay out of the system without being called out by McCain for reneging on election reform.

The court will say they lack jurisdiction...this aint going anywhere.

I also noticed CNN excusing the Pope's non-attendance at his official dinner as a scheduling conflict.....nope....one of the biggest political snubs of Bush' White House....and MSM covers it up. Business as usual.

Why is anyone hopeful the Judiciary branch will magically start performing their duties.

Because, there duty is to SCREW us and I don't see how McCains criminality suits that neocon agenda.

Fuck em. Crush them at the ballot box while we still can.

Good luck DNC, but America has long since given up on the rule of law.
Please see Banana Republics to fully understand the governmental system you are currently operating under.

"Law" is for godless heathens. When necessary, as here, to invoke "a higher law [wink, wink]" to justify evading mere "human law" (which we believers like to use on all of YOU . . . when it suits our pleasure), we're happy to do it. This is just such an occasion; we think that Ol' Johnny M. should be able to do "pert near" whatever he wants.
