I have seen other instances of Rachel vs Joe and Rachel always comes out on top because she is armed with facts. The interesting thing is Joe's demeanor, almost always he gives the impression of "dismissing" her and she bests him everytime. I get the impression Joe would be a lot happier without the Rachel Maddow's of the world.

Joe's dead intern irregardless, Joe Scarborough is a rude, overbearing man and a repug. The way he talked to Rachel is inexcusable, and he talks the same way to Mika on Morning Joe. Why do the moderators on these shows (like David Gregory) let him get by with talking over the person who is speaking? Joe definitely has a thing about women, apparently hates them and is constantly putting them down. If only Joe was as smart as he thinks he is he might understand why people dislike him.

Rachel Maddow is the best thing on MSNBC! She makes Joe Scarborough look like a pathetic McCain hack afraid to allow someone more intelligent and inciteful than he is speak. When he's expressing his hyperbolic political "opinions", she allows him to. When she's expressing her politically astute analysis, he constantly interrupts, snorts and trys to bully and demean her. Gregory needs to teach Scarborough some manners. Also, Scarborough trys to dominate and take control of Gregory's show. The problem Rachel Maddow has on shows like Gregory's is that she presents facts to substantiate her views in a world of green-belt pundits too absorbed in the Washingtonspin machine to know fact from reality. Too many of these talking heads, both Republicans and Democrats, lack the perspective and need to see beyond their self-absorbed little worlds. Rachel Maddow offers brilliant and entertaining commentary that is a breath of welcome fresh perspective. Something everyone outside of Washington should be listening to her and and taking notes.

I actually have liked Joe Scarborough over the years. However, Joe often regresses and I have noticed that he's very bothered by Rachel. I think I know why: she's more intelligent and more articulate than Joe, and it irks him. After all, in a party of ding-dongs that's long been Joe's edge--that he's not a moron and he can speak well. Now comes Rachel on CNBC and unsettles him. It's also possible that Rachel's sexuality irks him as well. I don't really care. I adore Rachel and would love to have coffee with her.

I sent an e-mail to "race 08" laying out what I had been watching happening. JOEy being rude and talking stupid. And that I will not watch as long as they have JOEy telling other pundits to basically Shut Up. Manners and truthfulness are all that matters in a discussion. I will listen even to a blowhard like JOEy, if he is attempting to make sense and wait his turn. Seems Repubican mothers never taught their children manners, or taking turns. I also wrote and complained about Tucker. And I wrote a long e-mail, detailed with facts about Buchanan's statements through the years which were not what we want on TV. Pointing out that the things that he has said were much worse than what Rev. Wright ever said. I must have power, because Tucker lost his show and you sure are not seeing much of Buchanan around. ;-)! Point being, all of us must write and complain. We can change the MSM now. Because even they can see the writing on the wall. That the REPUBS have lost and Democracy is at hand. WRITE every one of these shows and the complaints/customer service for every Channel, not just MSNBC. Demand that they get these hate mongers off the air. We truly do want fair and balanced reporting, unlike the REPUBS. You are so right. I noticed that EVERYTIME how Joe tries to diss Rachel. but she always has the upperhand...WITH FACTS! She puts him in his place by out smarting him everytime.

Joe got caught in a lie...and Rachel is the one person on TV who KNOWS her facts and that Joe was lieing and he got caught with a GOP talkking Point that was a lie.
At one time the role of a moderator was to stop that sort of thing, now they are told to encourage it.
Chris Matthews is currently supporting Obama, but he still enjoys Pat Buchannan's bullying behavior.

They're so accustomed to having these segments rigged in their favor that they don't even know how to make an argument based in reality.
