Why are we in this mess...there is a bloody war going on, that is draining the resources from this country, a damn unnecessary war, the housing mess seems hopeless at this moment, we have a gigantic deficit, that no one bothers to mention..much more, people were asleep at the wheel, and as for the Bush administration; they were too busy waging wars, trying to invent cultural divisions, to win elections, and were too busy being in bed with big business, and the oil companies., in other words, to hell with the rest of the country. Obama should put out an ad asking people what exactly the Bush administration has done for them, all these years.
So who is surprised?

Not only does McShame think that the economy is strong, but somehow he thinks that his pick of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and heh knowledge of the oil industry, is the reason for the drop in the price of oil below $100.00 per barrel to settle at around $95.00 per barrel today. Folks, we are in real trouble if these two get anywhere near the White House. Mr> Bubble< himself, has said that McShame's tax cuts would devistate the economy, yet he continues to lie about Obama. Has this man no SHAME?

Ouch! On whose watch is this happening? Do I see a faint hand being raised there, Mr Bush? By the way, how's that hunt for Bin Laden going?

Hey barts it's happening on the 'do nothing' lowest approval rate Democrat congress in history's watch. Let me also draw attention to this Congress's success on solving our Energy problems. It only took 22 months to destroy our Financial position, and our economy.

This rot hasn't happened in the last 22 months, you most likely don't have a 401k or any kind of savings, if you did you wouldn't talk your bullshit.

Hey, thanks for keeping me on track, CDS2. The Decider needs someone like you in his corner to defend him from meenies like me, a disenfranchised individual from the once prosperous Middle Class.

I am very glad you brought up the Keating 5. It should not be off limits. John McCain played a very key role in that scandal and very few people know about, especially the younger ones. It goes straight to character then and now, there is no difference. He has lobbyists running his campaign and yet he is going to rid Washington of "special interests".
Would someone please, please ask McCain why in the hell for 26 years he did not make inroads in "reform". He had the opportunity as a Senator. Is he saying only a president can affect change?

Obama's campaign needs to tackle the Keating scandal in an ad. Tagline: "Do you trust this kind of judgement and character?"
It could be the "Daisy" ad of campaign 08.

This might be a little off subject, but I encourage everyone to make the same challenge I did in the 'letter to the editor' section of your local newspaper:
"Hey, all you Republican tax experts out there lying about Obama’s tax plan, I have an offer you can’t refuse…..that is, if you actually believe the Obama tax plan will raise taxes on middle-class Americans like you say.
"After Obama is sworn into office and his tax plan is made law as is, I will pay for all tax increases of those who make under $250,000 a year with their 2009 tax filing. At the same time, of course, they will agree to relinquish to me any tax credit or refunds they realize as a result of Obama’s tax plan.
"Any takers? Didn’t think so."

Andrew Leonard at Salon's "How the World Works" blog wrote Obama's new campaign ad today. I quote:
"Anyone who has recently reviewed the performance of a 401K or kid's college fund or IRA probably doesn't think that the fundamentals of the economy are strong. Anyone who uses his or her car to commute to work probably doesn't feel that the fundamentals of the economy are strong. Anyone who has been paying attention to the figures on rising bankruptcy filings for individual Americans, the record number of foreclosures, and ballooning credit card debt doesn't think that the fundamentals of the economy are strong. For at least a year, most economists have been debating whether or not the economy is in a recession.
That's not a debate you have when the fundamentals of the economy are strong."
What a Day, ok ok.. bad day on Wall Street, but what a great day to have the focus back on the issues. This is the tip of the iceburg folks, what your seeing now will get more serious as the weeks go on. There is NO way McSame will crawl out of this.. NO WAY!. There are a few more Firms going down soon, and unemployment will be a big shocker in 2 weeks.
Hold on tight all... this is going to get rough, but there is no way the GOP will win this.... from the top down, it is over for them.
