AMERICAblog: During a period of just 60 seconds, McCain blinked 104 times

Choking back tears, by any chance?

That was so distracting...he looked like he was high on something....his constant blinking and bug eyes.
  • BlueNTexas · 1 year ago
he must have been into Cindy's stash.

One would think that some GOP freak would chime in to defend McDone against these scurrilous charges that Johhny WetStart is physically feeble, and therefore should produce his medical records. I still think that Obama and Biden should publish their records, updated, and challenge McLost to do the same.

I wonder if it's Provigil (Modafinil)? Provigil is a new(ish) non-amphetamine alertness drug tested as a way to combat sleepiness in fighter pilots (!), with few negative side-effects. However one of its occasional side-effects is rapid blinking...

It is stress because he is a no good nasty bastard. That is how you tell JM is lying, his lips are moving and his eyes are fluttering.
Lesson for the day, never invest the hope for the future in a loser. That goes for repubs and John McCain and his new found BS talking point, Joe the plumber.

My name is Joe, I drive a truck, and they can all kiss my redneck ass.

Are you sure your name isn't Levi?

I was expecting the pundits to bring it up after the debate but they were all on Joe the plumber....same thing the following day....sure didn't garner the attention I thought it would.

McCain is clearly on drugs or worse. Its not only the blinking, but his pupils look really large.

Blinky McCornNutTeeth, white as a sheet.

didn't Bill Frist use a similar technique to diagnose Terry Schiavo?

    No -- next question

The dilated pupils were strange. Big as a house. Maybe he dropped some acid. Angry McGrumpypants got some good shit!

And yet we're supposed to believe the corporate media tire swingers that this drug-addled nutjob actually won the debate, or had a fantastic first 30 minutes, even.

To be fair you should count a minute of Barack's blinking about the same time during the debate. Dry air and bright lights can do that to you. I'm sure there are lots of environmental conditions that could temporarily give a person dry eyes that may not be related to medical conditions and medications. But then again, without seeing his medical records it's all Fristian guess work...

Let's call them Wynken and Blynken. Nod's in the White House already.

He was blinking in Morse Code -- POWs used to do that all the time when being filmed for propaganda purposes.

He was saying "Sarah, I love you. I'll dump Cindy when this is all over."

I'm sorry, but this sounds so catty, Americablog!
I mean it's like making fun of the effete mannerisms
of gay men or something. Not so cool!
Yes, McCain looks like he's been through hell
and as a genuine POW, it's safe to say, he has.
    I don't think there's a need to ridicule someone
with some disabilities in such a catty way!

McCain clearly is abysmal in terms of his
lack of honesty or integrity in the campaign,
not to mention some outright dimwitted
policy objectives, but let's keep it there
on substance, shall we? There's PLENTY
to work with on that alone.

Besides, Obama and his occasionally dark blue
lips from smoking, low oxygenation, who knows?
    aren't so appealing either!

Can we just stop the American Idol contest
mentality, already?! That's how we got into this
mess. Bush seems swell, he looked chipper,
    good-looking, suave, manly, privileged...but if
you listened to him, checked the facts, and
applied some critical reasoning, every voter
could have prevented the present anniliation
of the U.S. as a First World Nation.

    Thank you very much.

P.S. No offense to Sen. Obama (yeah, he's pretty GREAT!),
I'm just trying to underscore that it seems tacky to keep
    harping on McCain's external weaknesses.
Granted, his internal qualities are not reflecting well
    either. Liar-war-mongerer-Bush-lover says it all!
Whether he still suffers from his war wounds, etc.,
at least he's better off than most of our boys back
    from Iraq!!

To assess mental stress, especially in a social situation, blinking is supposed to be one of the more reliable biological measurements. Tecce (1989) proposed a two-way model to explain the relationship between blinking and psychological functions. Blinking increased in a situation of negative hedonic state and internal attention, whereas it decreased in a situation of hedonic state and external attention. Tada (1986) discussed the association between blinking and interest and curiosity; blinking decreased in high interest and curiosity, whereas it increased in low interest situations.

It could be that McCain's blinking is part of his new futuristic energy plan:

    Best with sound on.
