Yeah...I've been smackin' down the GOP on some other blog this week on the "elite" thing! The only thing the GOP toad could default to was, "Elite is a state of mind!" And then, I smacked him around on that statement too....hahaaaaaaaa.

But how do we get the Democratic party to make this an issue? I am afraid that Obama will go soft on this issue when he should not. Every time the issue comes up, the candidate and (especially) surrogates need to counter attack. We need to make a simple case that Obama and his wife came from humble backgrounds and achieved the American Dream while McCain came from a more privileged background. Obama went to Harvard and achieved outstanding success. McCain went to the academy and graduated fifth from the bottom of his class. Obama eschewed rich jobs to join a small law firm assisting the working class. McCain served his country honorably in the war and then went straight into politics. McCain divorced his first wife and married into millions. Obama and his wife have a fraction of the money, properties and luxurious life style that the McCain's have.
If well presented, it would undermine McCain. He needs to be attacked because we have barely seen the smears that will come from Straight Talk McCain's supporters.
