More bad news: Circuit City is liquidating its 567 stores nationwide. Thousands of people are going to lose their jobs.
Heckuva job, Bushie! You shithead!

According to Wired, we're looking at 30,000 lost jobs and over 300 stores closed.
Many of the store closings will put even more of a burden on malls and shopping centers that are already dealing with empty space from retailers that are scaling back or going out of business.
Keep in mind that Circuit City is/was the second largest electronics retail chain in the country.
That's some major economic crap going down if big players like this take the slide into non-existence.

But not before a few more goodies are tossed Israel's way:
"US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said she and Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni planned to sign a deal on efforts to halt arms smuggling to Gaza.
Ms Rice told reporters that the "memorandum of understanding" which she and Ms Livni intended to sign was "one of the elements" that could help bring about a durable ceasefire. "
Thereby inserting the US firmly into the whole mess. Way to go, Madame Supertanker!
The final outrage will be the Bush pardons.

Write Bush A Farewell Letter»
The online community has been atwitter lately over Karl Rove’s decision to join the microblogging site Twitter; the former White House adviser already has more than 4,000 followers. In his latest tweets, Rove revealed that he’s putting together a letter-writing campaign to thank President Bush for his tenure. Yesterday he wrote:
Send a farewell letter to President Bush—Email gwbfarewell@gmail.com [no attachments] and I’ll give him your note
He later followed up and said that all messages are due by 6:00 p.m. ET on Jan. 19, and he will deliver them to Bush on Jan. 20.
4,000? That's probably going to be his limit. How can someone like him continue to be employed when so many others, far more worthy, can't find jobs? Of course, all that aside, he should be wearing prison stripes.
Bush: 'Our Long National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity Is Finally Over' January 17, 2001 | Issue 37•01
WASHINGTON, DC–Mere days from assuming the presidency and closing the door on eight years of Bill Clinton, president-elect George W. Bush assured the nation in a televised address Tuesday that "our long national nightmare of peace and prosperity is finally over."
President-elect Bush vows that "together, we can put the triumphs of the recent past behind us." "My fellow Americans," Bush said, "at long last, we have reached the end of the dark period in American history that will come to be known as the Clinton Era, eight long years characterized by unprecedented economic expansion, a sharp decrease in crime, and sustained peace overseas. The time has come to put all of that behind us."

I think Bush doesn't want to hear any flak about him pardoning everyone including himself, so he will wait until the very last part of his tenure to announce it And again, Georgie will get away with ruining everything he touches. He has never been held accountable and it won't happen this time as well. We can only hope the Hague and countries of the world pick up the slack left by the useless Pelosi and Reid and actually hold them accountable for the war crimes they've committed.

After Bu$h's horrible failure to capture Osama bin Laden, I'm not sure I agree with the take we don't need to still capture/kill Osama bin Laden. By his living and sending out tapes, he is still rallying Al-Qaida to their violent jihads:
I think we should still make capturing Osama a HUGE priority. I'm sure Obama will, even though he says its not as big a priority as it once was. After eight years of freedom, Osama has pretty much thumbed his nose at the west for being able to escape justice. Osama still free and making tapes should be the TRUE LEGACY of George W. Bush and friends.
Again, I still think we should definitely capture Osama and it should be a huge priority. Its a shame Bush and friends let him go.

I hope they also fumigate the place as well. Perhaps, the cleaning will get rid of that stench of corruption coming from the wake of the leaving Bush administration that is still festering away in the Oval Office and that of the Vice-President's. Like the stale smell of old cigar smoke, we need to open the windows of the White House and let in some fresh air. Hopefully, all the cells in the dungeon will be clear of the bodies.
