They Iraqis did not start the war either. So it's disingenuous to ask them to rebuild their country or to stop the civil war that the US precipitated when it pulled the plug on Saddam Hussein.

Has anyone noticed that an American ally was invaded and we did absolutely nothing? Maybe its just me...
btw, the Bush "we can invade anyone whenever we want" policy has come home to roost hasnt it?

Chris: Which side actually invaded the other? Objectivity demands that the whole story be considered.

What is the most potent word to describe the Iraq lie and fiasco? History will be very cruel to the perpetrators of this disaster.

Whereas I think what we did in Iraq is a crime and a lie, it should also be said that we did the damage to their country without any rhyme or reason; we need to remember it was not their doing. We broke it, we fix it.
Should we get out of Iraq? Heck yeah and quicker than most are discussing, but will we? I fear not and think that even if Obama gets the Presidency that even he will find reasons to continue the conflict on some level.
I hope I am dead wrong on this...

I'm clearing the road. Love those around you. Lift them up. The forces or depressing sinister neocon have been on the march for awhile. But I take over now. I ask you to assert yourself as an indepent thinking human being again. I will give you that rainbow again.

I just want out of there. We can't solve it, and the oil business is not ours to command. And the Taliban have now declared open war on the Pakistani govt (stupid fools).
Delights of the day: John McCain saying "I speak for all Americans when I say, 'I am a Georgian'." Thanks, MSM, for absolutely failing to provide any indepth coverage of the Russian-Georgian conflict and the US meddling that led the Georgians to believe they could do what they want and the Americans would parachute in to save them. and secondly, the lists of McCain's and Obamas top ten songs. Oh my, it's so perfect. McCain is a lounge lizard from the 50's and 60's, and Obama just loves some of the very best. Anyone have a link to the list?

Devilstower over at KOS really hits the nail on the head:
The Iraq story is simply pathetic. How can Bush/Cheney/and McSame bear to see themselves in the mirror? They have really done grave injustice to so very many Americans .
