Somehow, sitting on deck waiting for a command to take off does not seem to equate to JFK being tested. Ol' John would have you believe he was the one making the decision whether to bomb or not. Truth be known, he was probably soiling his undies waiting on deck.

Something tells me daddy, who I think was an Admiral, saved McCain's butt from being drummed out of the military. You crash three planes due to pilot error and still remain on active duty? I don't think so UNLESS someone was pulling strings.

We know he was a crappy student. Sounds like McCain was a pretty shitty pilot too. But if he wasn't shot down in Vietnam, he would never have been a POW, and thus, war hero, either. He was a POW, in case you haven't heard. And since he was a war hero and a lousy Naval aviator 40-some years ago, he is naturally equipped to deal with 21st century global security and political economy. This never made sense, and with Palin the Senate usurper backing him up, even less so.
