In other news: that egregious and vicious old puffadder Liz Trotta is still on Fox News's payroll.
  • PaulMorel · 1 year ago
I am pretty surprised by this.

I listened to his show regularly, simply because it's the only sports talk on the air in Pittsburgh during my hour-long drive home.

The guy is a major douche, but this is hardly the worst thing that he's ever said. He constantly spews this kind of nonsense, however, in his defense, it's pretty clear to most people that he only says this type of thing to piss people off. It's how he keeps listeners.

I am happy to see him gone. I have long hoped that someone level headed would take over his show. Still, this seems like a pretty random offense over which to fire the guy... he said crap like this in nearly every broadcast.

Somebody at ESPN has good sense. Or got a phone call from somebody even higher up who has good sense.

So when is Fox going to fire the Ossama, Obama get rid of them both if we could reporter? Free speech stops when you talk about killing people especially Presidential Candidates.
  • ThingsComeUndone · 1 year ago
ESPN has more ethics than Fox News or CNN with Lou Dobbs ans Glen Beck. I wish that cable tv was not bundled as a package and that we could pick and choose channels.

I hear worse at a diner I eat at occasionally. That doesn't make it right. This guy is a total cloaca, and deserves to get the boot.

Interesting that the sports world has more ethics than news. Limbaugh was thrown out of the NFL for his idiotic rants, and now this. Too bad FOX and CNN have less ethics than major sports does.

Is Liz Trotta still on the air? Has anyone made a complaint to the FCC?

Meanwhile, speaking of this govt, please look at the candidates for the FEC and sign the petition if you're so inclined.

"Now how do we take Hillary off the air?"

I'm still stunned that the Secret Service is not investigating Hillary and her campaign. We all know exactly what she meant by her threats against Senator Obama. The Clintons and their supporters need to be held accountable. Anyone still supporting this witch is embracing violent racism and corruption beyond belief.
  • Rab · 1 year ago
Lets hope for this scum bag that nothing ever happens to him or his loved ones and a complete stranger makes a nasty remark about it. Hillary is no better than this clown.
  • KristenCM · 1 year ago
Isn't it curious that the Hillbots are now openly embracing a campaign of violent racist threats and blatant corruption. The Clintonista legacy is now one of total shame and scandal. Why isn't the Secret Service investigating the witch and her followers for their outrageous threats against Senator Obama? Hillbots are the worst type of slime in politics. They shame the Democratic Party. While Obama is working for reconciliation and bi-partisanship, Billary only resorts to name-calling and the politics of personal destruction.

I thought you were talking about John Madden. Anyway, ESPN did the right thing.

We all know exactly what Billary meant when she threatened violence against Obama. When are the biased MSM and the Secret Service going to investigate her despicable comments? HIllbots should be deeply ashamed for supporting such a wicked, amoral, witch.

and hillary is the ONLY person that associated staying in the race until june because ANOTHER presidential candidate, and the ONLY presidential candidate was assassinated.....
  • 1stRepublic14thStar · 1 year ago
LIE! Her point was that Democratic nominations are often not decided until late in the process. She used TWO examples. TWO! One was her husband's nomination in 1992 not being decided until JUNE. The other was the long contest for the 1968 nomination, and her point was NOT that RFK was assassinated, but that RFK was still contesting the nomination in JUNE. Support Obama if you want -- don't LIE about Clinton as part of your support.
  • njprogressive · 1 year ago
Robert Kennedy announced his intention to run for presidency on March 16, 1968. In 1968 the primary began on March 12, while this year, it began on January 3. In June of 1992, Bill Clinton was for the most part running uncontested, he just didn't have enough delegates accumulated to announce complete victory. And just so you know, in 1992 the primary began on February 3. For her to compare the current primary battle to the one Robert Kennedy ran in or the one her husband ran in is ridiculous. They have NOTHING in common (I can use caps too). Instead, it was a direct attempt at bringing up the thought of assassination in one of her white non-college educated supporters. Keep drinking in that nice tall glass of bullshit that she dishes out to her followers on a daily basis. MMMMM. That tastes good now doesn't it?
  • 1stRepublic14thStar · 1 year ago
The 1968 campaign and the one in 1992 DO have something in common -- the nominations had not been decided in May. That was Clinton's point -- look at the video to see the question she was asked, and her entire response. Look at the statement from the editorial board she was addressing. Look at the statement from RFK, Jr. They all agree that Hillary Clinton was talking about the timing of the calls for her to quit her campaign versus the time the nomination will actually be decided, and she was comparing the timing of the 2008 campaign to those of 1968 and 1992. Only someone blinded by hatred for one candidate or overwrought devotion to another could fail to comprehend that. Quit lying about Hillary Clinton -- it does nothing to boost the candidate you prefer, and works to his detriment in the long run.
  • no · 1 year ago
however, YOU said i LIED.... i did NOT LIE...hillary IS THE ONLY ONE TO BRING UP THE ASSASSINATION OF RFK AS JUSTIFICATION AS TO WHY SHE IS STILL IN THE RACE!

And she's said it 2 times blatantly. Name me one other person that said:

"hillary clinton is still in the race because RFK was assassinated in June"

    you cant
  • 1stRepublic14thStar · 1 year ago
She's not in the race because RFK was assassinated. She's in the race because in 1968, when RFK was a candidate, the nomination had not been decided in May -- the race went on into June and beyond. She thinks the nomination fight will continue on past May this year -- THAT'S the point, not the assassination. You obviously know that -- you just refuse to acknowledge it.

Let me prove how hyper-partisan you are for Obama. Here's a quote from Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr., a main player in the Obama campaign. He's discussing whether it's advisable for Obama to attack Clinton politically:

"The natural reminder here is O.J. [Simpson] -- how does an African American candidate attack a white woman?" said Rep. Jesse L. Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.).

Here's me -- Jesse Jackson Jr. suggested that Hillary Clinton should be murdered.

Here's you flakking for Obama -- tell me how what Jackson said isn't as bad as Clinton mentioning the RFK campaign of 1968.

Radio host Randi Rhodes was the featured speaker at a fundraiser for Barack Obama. Though not organized by the Obama campaign, it was advertised as an Obama event and it was organized via the Obama campaign web site. Here's what Rhodes said:

"What a who*e Geraldine Ferraro is! She's such a f**king whore!" Rhodes remarked. "Hillary is a big fucking who*e, too" to a mixed audience reaction. "You know why she's a big fucking who*e? Because her deal is always, 'Read the fine print, a**hole!'"

Here's me -- Vile hate-filled language like that has no place in a major presidential campaign, regardless of who's the target. Rhodes should be fired. Obama should apologize.

Here's you, flakking for Obama -- tell me how what Rhodes said is OK because it wasn't a "real" Obama event and Rhodes has freedom of speech and the way she described Clinton and Ferraro is accurate.

Let's see if I guessed right...

since when is talking about assassinating sitting political officials not something is frowned upon.... the fact that espn actually first thought it was not a fireable offense is disgusting....the fact that this guy isn't being arrested for the comment is even more disgusting.

i guarantee that a person off the street couldn't say the same thing about any rethug and get away with it.

Is this another republican loud mouth? What an idiot. How do this people get on the air? What is happening to this country? I've never seen it this way - and I've been around a long time.
  • stroo · 1 year ago
Way to work a little Hillary hatred into the truly revolting story. Wouldn't want your loyal fans to miss that moral equivalancy. Don't you think its time you back off demonizing the clear choice of millions of Democratic voters, John? What if your beloved Obama were being treated that way, fairly or not? Do you honestly think Hillary is the monster you've turned her into? Perhaps there is just a kernal of truth to the idea that she's being subject to an unrelenting sexist mission to misinterpret and over react to every thing she says. What do you say to those people who truly believe that the blogs and media are going down in history as just a predictable uproar at the prospect of a viable female presidential contender actually making it? Wouldn't you exact your revenge on Obama at the ballot box, if you felt that way? It never ceases to amaze me how Democrats discover new and exciting ways to once again blow it. THIS IS HOW WE LOSE, JOHN (you too, Keith 'special comment' Olberman.) Just back off. You won! Now lets start the healing. SOON! Couldn't resist one more kick, could you? God I am so dissappointed in you and your blog. Save it for the Republican war criminals!!!

Everyone knows exactly what Billary meant by her violent threats against Obama. Insane Hillbots who are still supporting this witch are blatantly embracing pure evil, corruption, and racism. You people are beyond disgusting. Obama's campaign is all about unity and healing, not the politics of personal destruction that the wicked Clintons have perfected.

Save it for the Republican war criminals? You mean the friends of Hillary?
