AMERICAblog: Everyone in the GOP's cranky old man caucus thinks Al Qaeda is in Iran. (They aren't.)

i'm amazed these old coots haven't let "ragheads" slip out yet.
it's just a matter of time, you know.

The lies slip off their tongues just like off their fuhrer's...

Rather than actually learning about the enemy we face, let's just call 'em all "the bad guys."

Ari Fleisher and Dan Bartlett are lying through their teeth about McClellan's book.
If you listen, you can her the WH talking points - words like puzzled, left wing
bloggers, are being thrown around the whole day.

Whether you like him or not, McClellan has come out and spilled the beans about the Bush/Cheney war criminals. You can expect that the idiotic Bush supporters will make you disbelieve everything Scotty says.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
At least some are saying "left wing bloggers" were right all along. McClellan saying the "left wing media" didn't do its job just proves the media is RIGHT WING after all.

Someone needs to remind McSame, the gig is up. Its time for him to stop with the whole sad story of the woman who lost her soldier son and mistakenly thinks going to Iraq was worth it, and for Mr. McSame to not let her son die in vain. That is just MORE PROPAGANDA and Scott McClellan proved the Bush Administration sent us to war based on propaganda, and those mothers who sent their sons to war sent them based on PROPAGANDA, and therefore their deaths were in vain. If she wanted to make a difference, instead of just sending more kids to die in vain, she should have given his bracelet to Obama!
  • Rab · 1 year ago
Two very old, confused, unqualified men who shouldn't be in any kind of leadership positions.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
If you look closely at the media types who have thrown softballs and kissed ass all these years, this book by McClellan is REALLY getting under their skin. They've been exposed and they KNOW IT!
  • gonzalez · 1 year ago
I just watched Dick Gregory on Hardball and he was really defensive. He stated that McCallen was not in the loop before the war. He was one old the idiots not following up on the questions.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Jessica Yellin on Anderson Cooper ADMITTED she was a "corporate attorney" at her last network therefore she had many stories that didn't tow the "corporate line" and were therefore rejected. Independent press my ass!
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Ari Fleischer and Dan Barlett are just hoping they can escape criminal prosecution, so of course they're going to lie some more.

I still want to know who those 28% are and why they stay deaf, dumb and blind...
  • TheOriginalLiz · 1 year ago
Since when has the GOP given a damn about accuracy, or even reality?

Besides, they know they'll be able to convince at least 30% of the population to support anything they come up with.
  • lutton · 1 year ago
Not only are they going to Iran ... they're going to South Carolina and Oklahoma and Arizona and North Dakota and New Mexico, and they're going to California and Texas and New York! And they're going to South Dakota and Oregon and Washington and Michigan. And then they're going to Washington, D.C...arrrggghh!
  • islalvr · 1 year ago
Sorry for off topic: Has anyone tried to connect to Atrios this afternoon? Has he been disappeared?
  • lutton · 1 year ago
I've been 404 for his website for about 24 hours, but I'm still getting content from him via RSS, so it looks like some tech issue.

UPDATE: I've had been 404 at home for around 24 hours, but just got through after getting 404 a few times. I was able to get through today from my office too. Sounds like a DNS issue.

Scott McClellan = TOTAL VINDICATION for ALL of us in the blogosphere!

    GOP = Good ol' PROPAGANDA!

New MSM take--it was the fault of congress that they didn't do their job. Yet they don't acknowledge their 'Bloom Mobile's' and putting on generals etc. had an impact in the rah rah leadup to the war. I'm sorry that David Bloom died but they hyped that thing like their was no tomorrow.
  • TheOriginalLiz · 1 year ago
I suppose to a certain extent it is the fault of congress - they didn't tar and feather bushco when the bs started. Congress is at fault for not performing it's function as "checks and balances".

Maybe the "liberal press" needs to read some history:

I think one of the best classes I took in high school was called "Thinking Power". It covered all the angles of opinion, what constituted facts, argument and logic. These last 8 years alot of Americans have confirmed the worst of what this country is, a dumbed down, uninterested, people.
  • gonzalez · 1 year ago
The republicans live the dumbed down country. This is how they stay in power.

So when will the right wingers who attacked the anti war crowd, apologize to all those folks who were denigrated? Hey, even Michael Moore needs an apology.

I am tired of the same excuses given by the war criminals - that the intelligence showed that Saddam had WMDs. They keep saying that other countries like Britain and France knew that too (okay they keep forgetting that France did not join in this massacre, and that Britain did not initiate the attack either, and joined with much protest). No one in the media wants to ask these people like Bartlett and Fleisher, that we were asked by the AIEA and folks like Hans Blix (remember him?) to give them time, and that they had not completed their inspections, so WHY did the Bush/Cheney war mongers rush into this stupid, unnecessary, and bloody war? Yes, part of the blame does rest with the idiots in the media, who did not stand up and investigate these lies. The story about the yellow cake was another big lie, made up with badly forged documents, so why didn't the media look into that?
The main question is why didn't someone from our media, stand up and confront Bush or Cheney about this. This whole thing stinks. From Condi's lies about mushroom clouds, to Cheney's reassurances that there were WMDs and that we would be welcome as liberators, this whole thing was one big HOAX, and the naive American people bought it.

Didn't we learn from Vietnam? Aren't we gluttons for punishment?
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Are you kidding? Apologize to us? They didn't even apologize for Vietnam.
  • mr_ed · 1 year ago
    We went to war:
1: To avenge the assassination attempt on Poppy
2: To show the size of W's Dick
    3: Oil

    GOP - Good Ole Propaganda

I like that. And it's shorter than saying "chickenhawk closet case pedophile religious quacks."
  • gonzalez · 1 year ago
These are the asshole republicans elected to run our country. They ran it for the last 8 years and look at where we are. How can some Americans be so stupid?
  • kirkaracha · 1 year ago
Ari Fleisher and Dan Bartlett are both war supporters and under the recruitment age limit. Why the fuck aren't they enlisted and on a plan for Iraq?
