I read, and I should get a link, but allegedly via the exit polls, GLBT community percentage for the 2008 election was lower for the Democratic Party Candidate compare to Kerry in 2004 (77% to 70% for Obama in 2008)
Okay where did I read this, now I remember, Andrew Sullivan's blog...
Jokingly and facetiously , I always felt that Obama should thank Lehman Brothers and Tina Fey for his victory...
One group Obama needs if he wants to win in 2012 are Hispanics..

As I said, Bush's Saturday morning speech sounded almost like he was going to tell us how proud he was that he voted for Obama. <g>

Even if you discussed voting for Obama with just one person and convinced her, yes, you had a hand in it.
Even if just you yourself voted for Obama.
I changed history. Profoundly. And I'm not lining up for any special favors, either. I did it for my country. I did the right thing.

I just hope that each of the interest groups and the people that supported him are prepared to be disappointed in his decisions, from time to time, and still trust & support him. If he's representing all of us, red & blue states alike, we're all going to have to learn to live with some compromises.
Last month, during the bailout debate, he helped put the brakes on a Dem-led effort to include a foreclosure prevention bill that I had spent the past year in my job trying to get Congress to enact (a bill that he even cosponsored). But that didn't stop me from taking trips into Virginia to knock on doors for him anyway.

this is whats great about the dem party, everyone feels responsible for this victory because obama and the dems are so inclusive unlike the exclusive gop, we the people applies to all the people not just the elite whites and the very fortunate economically.

. I ran into McCain on the street back in August, and I told him about this great governor up in Alaska. Then I recommended he take a week off after the convention, and go real negative when he got back.
Next time I see him, I'm gonna go, "BURN!!!" dude. He ain't around much lately, though.
So I think Obama owes me, big-time. I just want to be on the SCOTUS, me and my posse. Totally gonna legalize the ganja, man. .

Wow, lots of cynicism here. Skepticism is much more fun...

It's seems that Obama's victory might very well divide us more than ever before. Surprisingly it's not his opponents that are broadening the division but his supporters.

I am solely responsible.
And you're welcome.
