Iraq is about oil. Bush is an oil man. Palin is an oil girl. If the Republican's can't steal this election too, with their rigged vote machines and 'caging', this may be the oil companies last chance to cash in for a few years.
Rather than obsessing over a particular number of dollars, I wonder whether the profit percentage has increased under Bush. I mean, if the oil companies make 5% profit, year after year, then you could expect the dollar amount to rise with the price of oil. Super-high prices would equal high profits. The question is: Has the profit percentage stayed level?
Exxon can post record profits even though the price of gas has dropped? Is this the new math?

The automobile manufacturers are begging for money from the government. Why do they beg from Exxon? After all, where would Exxon be without automobile production?
