    My tomatoes are getting ripe and I harvested 4 yesterday. Grow them yourselves. A 5 gallon bucket of rich soil and clean manure will keep you in tomatoes all summer, Bill, even if you live in an apt.

    It's important that people start to learn to grow at least some of their own food and don't depend on Big Agriculture for everything.

    Traceability will only add an extra *costly* middleman and avoids the problem. Vegetables don't get salmonella. Salmonella gets on vegetables from the manure and water run-off created by factory farms. If livestock were allowed to graze like how they evolved (even if just days before slaughter) they wouldn't carry as much disease.

    Want to solve it forever? Don't feed grains to animals that are supposed to eat grass. Also, humans are not getting the nutrients we need to prevent cancer etc that comes from the grass.
