AMERICAblog: Finance Director of Democratic congressional campaign: Hillary is destroying us

  • Jim Olson · 1 year ago
    So, lets review.

    Hillary has angered African-American voters.
Hillary has angered donors to congressional candidates.
    Hillary has angered younger voters.
Hillary has no mathematical chance of winning pledged delegates.
Hillary can only win the nomination by having the super-delegates contradict the popular and pledged delegate vote.
Hillary has fundraising troubles of her own, and is $11mil in debt to her own campaign, which may or may not become a violation of election finance laws.
    Hillary has divided the party.
Hillary has the tacit endorsement of Rush Limbaugh.

And she still thinks she can be, and more importantly, should be the nominee of the Democratic Party for President?

I'm sorry, but I just don't see it.

Hillary will try the nuclear option to help "good friend" McCombover and our federal, state and local candidates will be eating out of garbage cans

B-b-but! HRC must be allowed to drop out on a high so that she can have a viable career in the Senate! Or, how about: HRC must continue to preserve the integrity of the electoral process so all voters can exercise their right to vote! Or, how about: HRC must be allowed to continue to run because we don't don't know if there are other bad, scary people who have associated with BO! Or, how about: HRC must be allowed to drop out on a high to "ease" her VAST base into the process of "accepting" that scary, alien entity with the Muslim name! For all these reasons, she MUST "soldier on" (to use the MSM cliche du jour) until mid-June...
  • Psyche · 1 year ago
That email is compelling documentation for something a lot of us have been concerned about. And it's not just the big donors -- suspect the netroots is sending less money to Congressional and local candidates while they're pouring money into the Presidential coffers.

Has the Hillary campaign been told? Or don't they give a damn...never mind...

well... you're not hillary, are you?

its all about her, add that into your statements and it makes sense... in an egomaniacal sorta "its my party and I'll cry if I want to!" sorta way.

"She can win the states we need to win in the general election. Why should Hillary Clinton, until there is a nominee with the number of necessary delegates, why should she get out?" Clinton campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe asked on NBC's "Today" show.

Because she's dragging down the party Terry. There's much more at stake here than Hillary's next job.

Something dark and disturbing is going on with her. I think Karl Rove planted a chip in head or something.

John. Since everyblog that supports Obama knows its over and he's on top, why not just refocus on the congressional campaigns. Seems to have done well for Kleeb. Push the roots a little further to act blue. Perhaps a series of posts that say say not to give to Obama but instead candidate X.

    It's the media, stupid!

AMY GOODMAN: Why do you think these candidates, the leading candidates of the Democratic supposedly opposition party, do not call for an immediate end to the war, do not call for single-payer healthcare?

BILL MOYERS: Because the media doesn’t allow complicated thought to be articulated in ways that enlighten instead of misinform people.

Perhaps this clip of Tim Russert needs to be sent to all Dems in Congress, the DNC and super delegates. In it Russert questions Durbin and Shumer about why the Clinton campaign was perfectly fine with signing the DNC rules statement on September 1, 2007 but after February, 2008 (with a Florida win) was demanding to seat Florida.

Why make these people watch it? Because this is where is all begins, this is where Clinton begins her changing the rules, this is where Clinton begins her quest for the nomination at all costs.

I've been waiting to donate to the DSCC and DCCC until this nightmare has ended. I wanted to make sure the SuperD's don't try to steal the nomination from the man who has earned the most delegates. However, I just caved and donated $35 -- mostly because of Harvey Weinstein's attempted extortion. I guarantee, when the SuperD's get off their asses and end this thing, money will poor in.

If the SuperD's did steal the nomination from the person who earned the most delegates (I don't believe they will, but I'm keeping my power dry just in case), I would not only not vote for her, I would resign from the Democratic party. There is a principal involved here that is greater than any election, and there is no way I'm going to reward that woman for her atrocious behavior by handing her the presidency that someone else earned. We went through an election theft in 2000 and I'm not going through it again.
  • shell · 1 year ago
Hillary WANTS this. She and Bill LOVE the divided House and Senate. That way, their "3rd way" gains strength.

It is sickening. I barely speak to many relatives today, since they don't see this. It is just, "Oh, it is Hillary or Barack. It is great! Two strong candidates!" I can't hold off much longer before I scream at them, "Are you THAT dumb?"
  • LarryMac · 1 year ago
What bunk! Has this guy even been paying attention to the congressional races? These congressional people are not losing funds because of Hillary Clinton. They are losing them because of all the DNC and media bias slamming Hillary and trying to force her defeat. Congress campaigns who support Obama are suffering negative media attacks and it is Obama who is hurting the party, not Hillary Clinton. Until Obama drops out of this race for the good of the party, it is only going to get worse for Democrats. Obama and his supporters, like Reverent Wright, are tearing the party apart with their negative politics, anger, liabelous blogs against Hillary and dirty deeds. Congressional seats will prosper under a Clinton nomination, but will continue to suffer badly under an Obama nomination. Wise up!
  • shell · 1 year ago
LarryMac -- Do you REALLY believe what you wrote? Amazing! I never thought I'd really, truly see this level of brainwashing.
  • Steve_in_CNJ · 1 year ago
There's too much hysteria on both sides of this. Take a deep breath.

Hillary will try to energize her white blue-collar base while continuing to say she will "support the nominee". There's no serious harm in this. Half of the staunchest Dems out there are for Hillary and the other half are for Obama. The losing side needs to be let down as gently and as graciously as possible. I think that is Obama's strategy, actually.

Now that the traditional media have recognized they can't continue to trash the next US president with impunity, there will be more scrutiny of McCain. Hillary will win the Appalachian states (which DO matter) quite handily but with a suppressed turnout. Obama will win in Oregon with a bigger turnout. SD's will be able to point to this difference. Those who can afford to take sides without pissing off their home districts will do so.

Relax, there's tons of money out there for Dem candidates. It's only halfway thru the 2nd quarter. Take a deep breath.
  • shell · 1 year ago
    Steve_in_CNJ --

That is fine with me, BUT what about all those Congressional candidates who need support NOW? The November election is about more than Hillary. And saying a presidential candidate needs to be let down gently is just weird, to me.
  • Steve_in_CNJ · 1 year ago
i didn't say let down the candidate. i said let down the millions of HRC supprters. the money now going to obama will come back to the dem candidates via the coat tails. a lot of it is cash on hand for the general.
  • shell · 1 year ago
" ... a lot of it is cash on hand for the general."

Exactly! And most of the non-presidential contenders ARE in the general now. The presidential needs to be, too. Otherwise, time is wasted.
  • Steve_in_CNJ · 1 year ago
It's phenomenal how many americans are watching the dem primary. and obama is using it to define himself. that's positive campaigning, not necessarily time wasted. how many months do you need to allocate for negative campaigning against mccain? there's going to be oodles of time for that.
  • shell · 1 year ago
Yes, and that is good. My point is it is not so good for the hundreds of other campaigns, that count, too.

No brainwashing, just using brains and being well-informed, which is more than I can say for this guy. I notice once again how Obama supporters, instead of responding to the arguments with a logical rebuttal, simply send a personal retort. That is why Hillary will eventually win, most of her supporters are grownups who can think for themselves. Instead of being easily impressed with the snake oil sales of an inexperienced, junior senator who has done little of any value to show qualification for the presidency, they need to take a hard look at their own candidate's problems, which are many, some of which are being covered up by mainstream media. Obama is unelectable and needs to drop out before he hurts all Democrats. Instead of the liberal far-left and naive young people dwelling on personal attacks to try and force and unelectable candidate down the throats of mainstream Democrats, who want someone capable of actually making change happen, they need to really research this like the rest of us. Here's the real Obama's experience and why he cannot be elected: http://www.dallasobserver.com/2008-02-28/news/o... If we wait until Obama gets the nomination, then Larry Sinclair's allegations of drug abuse, adulterous homosexual affair and possible implication in Donald Young's murder will be used by the Republican attack machine. Founded or not, they will be used, the will be believed (especially after Reverend Wright) and we will lose to the Republicans for four more years. Do the right thing, give it up. Obama is not who we need for a nominee, he cannot win.
  • shell · 1 year ago
    LarryMac --

You are not well-informed if you think Clinton doesn't lie through her teeth. As for drug abuse -- yes, Obama said he had taken drugs in college. So? Adulterous homosexual affair? Which gets to you most, Hillary-lover? The "affair" or the "homosexual"? Oh, a POSSIBLE IMPLICATION in a murder? hahaha Oh, I am underwhelmed.

Once AGAIN -- we KNOW the GOP will use half-truths and outright lies to win. So F-ing what? This isn't the 1990s. You don't GET it. It is time to change and stop making up your mind by what the GOP does. Most of America gets it. Only the elderly and the IQ-lower-than-100 don't. Oh yes, and in this campaign, the RACISTS, too.
  • LarryMac · 1 year ago
I find it a typical response that instead of addressing the logic of the
argument you are like a the average Obama supporter and stoop to insults
such as suggesting Hillary supporters are not well-informed, have low IQ's,
    are racists, are old, etc.

You cannot defend the experience of a man who has a lackluster term in a
state senate and whose only legislation of note was credited to him after
over 90% of the ground work was done by others, starts running for president
only half way through his first term as junior U.S. senator with no
legislation of note to his credit, all this in both cases when he voted at
all or didn't vote 'present' over a hundred times because he can't take a
    stand.

You cannot defend the character of a man who sat in a church, even Oprah
Winfrey refused to stay in, after hearing twenty years of anti-white,
anti-American, and divisive rants the entire time. Who did not only do
drugs when he was young, but refuses to address Larry Sinclair's allegations
of drug abuse as late as 1999 as state senator, homosexual activity with him
and Donald Young and the possible implication in Donald Young's murder. All
he has to do is say he did not do it, but he won't, so silence continues to
    lend consent.

You cannot defend the honesty and integrity of a man who has taken hundreds
of thousands of dollars from an indicted political manipulator Rexco,
including the bribe of property bought at a much higher price by Rezco's
wife and sold at a very cheap price to Obama. That is called a bribe I do
not care how much you try to cover it up. It is illegal and if Obama did
not have very high friends in Illinois politics, he would be in jail now.
In fact, he is still not out of the woods yet with the feds.

So you insult the messenger? I am underwhelmed.

I'll exchange Hillary's knowledge, hard work ethic, proven ability to work
across the aisle, and experience for any perceived and unfounded flaws over
Obama's spoon-fed knowledge from advisors, ability to con others into doing
his work, no proven ability to work with Republicans, and lack or
    experience, any day.

There was supposed to be an October surprise for Obama, but fortunately, the
conservatives are now letting the cat out of the bag that they will be
putting it out sooner, with Rush Limbaugh announcing 10 days he will drop a
bomb on him a day or two ago. Informed speculation has it a federal
indictment for corruption with Rezco or the Larry Sinclair allegations,
which ever pops up first. THAT, is why Hillary is staying in, she knows
that if he gets the nomination, we get four more years of war and famine.
    Bye, bye, Obama.

Just pointing out the weakness in your stereotype. As anyone of any
education or intelligence will tell you Disqus, the person who results to
personal insults and attacks first, loses the argument. I never said
anything negative about you personally, yet you continue to do so. Again,
typical of the type of Obama supporter responses to logical arguments I
usually get. Makes one want to vote for Hillary, so remember you are doing
your candidate no good with these personal attacks.

How old are you? Such responses do lack a certain amount of maturity. As a
drill instructor, I recall a lot of cock sure young people who tried to
bully others with insults to make themselves look good and force their views
on others, only to literally piss in their pants when confronted by someone
who was not all that impressed with their fake bravado.

I am confident enough to know that Obama will not only lose in the next few
weeks, but may actually have some legal problems. I would lose all my
confidence, if like you, I had bought hook, line and sinker the snake oil
sales of such as Barack Obama. I actually feel sorry for all the Obama
supporters who will soon see what a corrupt person this man is when he
loses, because I hope that they do not hold this against Hillary Clinton,
who has not stayed in for ambition, like Obama, but for the good of the
party and the good of the country, courageously against a stacked media,
jealous politicians with revenge on their agendas, and the naive.

I have heard many black Hillary Clinton supporters here in North Carolina
and on the internet tell me they think that Barack Obama is an
inexperienced, overly ambitious man who will only help himself if President
and will do little to help black people where it counts. Funny how so many
can see this, yet you and others can't get past the pretty speeches. Sad.

    Cheers and On On

Anyone who would advertise their IQ is doing it because they are as unsure of their real intelligence in the same way that a rich person flaunts his wealth because of his insecurity over his value as a person.

Also, if you were really as smart as you're trying to imply, you'd know that IQ has been discredited as a measure of true intelligence by most current and credible psychologists.
  • LarryMac · 1 year ago
I think we covered this already. In any argument, the person who insults
first, loses. Since you are apparently a loser bu insulting me and, like
most Obamaniacs, cannot hold a logical discussion without insulting people,
your site and you are no longer of any value in any intelligent political
discussion. Come back when you grow up.

You're in control of your own feelings. If you were insulted by my statement of facts then it's your problem. Who's calling who names here, by the way? That's not a very good defense of the premise you raised to allegedly support your argument.

Oh, and yes I know you're just being a troll, and I'm now feeding you by even responding. I've always been generous with what I have though, so you're welcome.

Hillary has lost and you're just sore about that. Great minds think alike I suppose. . .

Well thats good and all but im from a town in pennsylvania. Mrs. Clinton's family was from my home town, and you know what my 104 year old grandmother has to say about her personal interactions with the whole lot of them "Crooks!". I don't give a damn about Obama, i don't give a damn about Hillary, just realize this, we just might vote in a man who has no respect for the constitution as it was formed 250 years ago. He'd rather feel fine at night knowing that MY GENERATION is becoming complete psychopaths in Iraq, He won't lose a wink of shut eye when he finds out that more veterans have committed suicde than have died in Combat. I don't give a damn about I.Q's or if your colored or a female. You all have been manipulated by your televisions, I cry for my brothers and sisters, and all you fools do is think that destroying your country is the only true way to peace. For shame on you all, I'm a 8th generation AMERICAN, My family has lost more blood trying to protecting our freedoms than anyone else i know. I spit on all of you. Wake up your Rome is on fire.

Wow LarryMac. I like how in your most recent post you failed to acknowledge the two links that Richard42 put up that put huge holes in your argument that Obama has had a homosexual affair and recent drug use. It's also a little hypocritical to condemn shell for personally attacking you and then in the very next paragraph you call him immature and a "cock sure young person". And as far as Obama's lack of experience, this is a year where we need the way government works to change, we can't keep sticking with the status quo because that obviously hasn't worked. And if we want change we won't get it from Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton or from any other political candidate that uses the same tactics as any other cookie cutter politician. Obama will bring us that change. Also, how on EARTH will Obama bring four more years of war when he is the only candidate to be against the war from the very beginning and has said that he will implement an immediate withdrawal of troops when he is elected. I have nothing against you personally LarryMac but you're arguments just aren't logical, no matter how much you say they are.
  • djohnson · 1 year ago
I feel for you LarryMac. You are clearly having a very difficult time accepting that there is almost no hope for Hillary to win this race [2.1% according to The Hillary Deathwatch]. Your claim that you are "confident that Obama will lose in the next few weeks" is hard to believe. If you really do believe what you are saying, than this tells me that either you are in complete denial of how deep a hole she is in, or during your time in the army (and since your last IQ test) you must have taken some shrapnel to the head.
  • djohnson · 1 year ago
Larry Mac, come back when Hillary wins! In any case, I didn't insult you ... just stated that you are clearly in denial of how deep a hole Clinton is in [Now 1.6% according to The Hillary Deathwatch]. So when you talk about losers (which I would say is an insult), I think this would best apply to Hillary. And the sooner she admits that she can't win the better, for the sake of her own reputation and to silence so-called Democrats like you with your crazy anti-Obama propaganda. And once again, that isn't an insult ... but come on, what is that crap you are spouting about homosexual relationships, etc.
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
Personally speaking, I've been very tight fisted with my contributions so far this year. Until the HRC campaign ceases, I'll continue to be. I threw some cash to Scott Kleeb, and threw some to Tom Allen when I heard that the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) endorsed his repug opponent in Maine, Susan Collins. And then threw more to John's ActBlue page titled Tell Hillary "It's Over". Loved the title and couldn't resist.

Other than that I'm sitting on a lot of contributions this year. I'm ready but waiting.
