Again, shame on you people. Of all people, we should be the last to be telling unverified stories about the sexual orientation of even our enemies. Now, would be different if there was verifiable evidence, someone who actually knows, former partners, etc. But to smear Crist just because he is a Repuglican smacks of the dirty, dirty, underhanded tactics that make the Repuglicans the villains they are. We aren't going to stoop to their level. If you actually know, fine. Otherwise, we are better than they are and won't stoop to that level.

Saying someone is gay is not a smear. Even outing someone is not really a smear, although we could debate the ethics of the practice. However, in this case, it is such common knowledge that posting comments about it does not really rise to outing him. With regard to closeted politicians, I don't have any issues of outing them if they take positions against the LGBT community. These folks want all of the benefits of "straight privilege" and they also want the gay community to keep their secret. It doesn't work that way. Now Crist has not exactly been a loud voice against the community nor is he a supportive voice either. He really is walking a tightrope and we all know it will end in tears or in divorce court. Thank you for listening.
