This is what makes me so mad with the gay movement and I was just going to take an interest in this website. This whole debacle was started by Perez Hilton and its a shame that the rest of the gay rights websites are taking up this battle for him seeing as he is no friend to the movement (just ask Dustin Lance Black), if he had left her alone and not tried to generate hits for his website (please lets not pretend his question was ever about gay rights then she would be gone right now). The gay movement yet again wastes time and distracts themselves with the beauty queens and other insignificant people of the world while Rome burns

She whored for new boobs, she whored on tape (and didn't even recognize her own whoring, doubly hilarious) all the whole claiming religious discrimination.

She self destructed with the merest push from us. She's been an entertaining footnote, nothing more.

I agree with you about Perez - he is a blight on our community. However, Carrie's actions after her comment ultimately led to her downfall. She saw an opportunity to become the face of bigotry, along with reaping in a bucket of dough, and went chasing after it like a priest after children. And all the while playing the role of the pure little sweet victim. Oh, puh-lease. She's a two bit hack with no sense of compassion for her fellow man. She puts herself out there as judge over other people's morality while all the while she was producing pornography while finger banging herself, posing nude/nearly nude for cash, lying on her pageant application, breaking contract obligations and filing lawsuits on completely baseless claims (and she is probably a fan of tort reform too).

Her righteousness is as phony as her breasts.

No she was asked an inappropriate question, and attacked the next day. You do know that the face of this anti-gay rights movement, is Mary Gallagher, Brian S Brown and Robert P. George as well as the COMPANIES that donate millions to their hate calls and sponsor their campaigns as well as the fact they are listed as a NON-PROFIT organization (why when they are spreading propoganda, if these organizations were not listed as NPOS, they'd have difficulty getting donations). But you guys spend less time attacking the millionaires, and the bigwigs of this anti-human rights brigade than you do attacking the small fry since that would actually take courage, Perez wouldn't want to attack people who might just advertise on his website like he doesn't attack or expose the hypocrisy of Katy Perry's mother who teaches a five hundred strong congregation that gays are evil (her words), and has gone to the media with this statement. But hey her daughter pays for advertising on his site so we wouldn't want to look to closely into their pasts or the activists that had a problem with Katy Perry telling gay people to hang themselves in her songs. You want to be compared to the civil rights movements yet did Martin Luther King ever go to beauty pageants to make a point or the spelling bees of the world. Electing people like Perez Hilton as spokespeople and fighting his battles for him will only turn people off the cause

Let me break this down for you:

1) Perez Hilton is not the emperor of gay people. Nobody elected him to do anything. Perez Hilton is an INTERNET PERSONALITY who blathers on about whatever he wants.

2) I'm seeing a lot of "you people" in your post. Yet another hetero paternalistically telling is what we should or should not do, say, and feel lest we turn more "concerned" heteros off the cause.

Honey, we aren't here to please you or your wussy, fairweather, sensitive kind. We don't care to integrate. We don't care to be unthreatening. We aren't going to do this YOUR way, or how you would like. We aren't going to say things how you want, do things how you want, or accomplish things how you want.

If that's a problem for you, then pack your shit and GTFO.
