AMERICAblog: FOX News: McCain lied to us

  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Oh MY GOD - Pat Buchanan, on MSNBC, just used the word "exotic" to describe Barack Obama to a black woman supporter of his. BIG MISTAKE - she jumped all over it. Man, did that racist ever step.in.it.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Oh, and another Republican just jumped in and blamed Democrats for using "code words" like "confused" and "tired" to describe John McCain's age! Hey, we don't have to use "code words" because John McCain IS OLD and there is no denying it.
  • debrazza · 1 year ago
Fox is having a bad week, first terrorist fist jabs, then baby's mama's and now this. They never had much credibility, but this is just getting really bad even for their standards. The world is laughing at them and they are losing ratings.

When did Bloomberg become a Republican?
  • jwhit · 1 year ago
This is going to be a long five months. Remember, the military issuing a statement about staying out of politics, well that didn't last long either. An Army publication had something partisan to say about Obama

Is it true they can't give McCain a free hour?

I thought the equal time rule didn't apply to cable?

    ?
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Guess you're right.

(Kind of academic, since Fox is 24/7 Repub anyway.)
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Or, maybe not.

Whether the equal-time rules apply to cable networks has never been ruled upon by the FCC, says David Oxenford, a communications lawyer in Washington. “Cable is really a different animal,” he says.

We need a log of McCain's flip flops for the GE. The government warned McCain in 2005 that his campaign manager (Rick Davis) was undermining our national interest

Who really expects FOX to relyon anything? As a matter of fact, who really gives a shit about FOX anbd what they do? Why is time spent discussing these ass clowns or giving them exposure? FOX, like the Do Do bird, will become extinct.

There are lots of people who think that Fox is the source of all truth.

Perhaps Faux News is beginning a new real campaign leading the MSM to shed the light of truth on Insane McBush3's past missteps, failures, and dishonesties, to say nothing of his current flip-flops and plain errors of fact.
    Just for starters consider:
    1. He was fifth FROM THE BOTTOM in his class at Annapolis.
    2. He was a known hot-dog and ladies man before during and after
    his college years.
    3. He wrecked four Navy planes before driving a fifth into the ground in
North Viet Nam resuylting in his capture.
    4. He was involved in a disaterous fire aborad the USS Forrestal which
resulted in the deaths, needlessly, of some 125 or more shipmates.
(McBush3 was somehow hustled off the Forrestal immediately, due
I would suspect to (improper?) upper level influences (Daddy?)
    5. Then there is the whole puzzling saga of POW McCain. Nicknamed
"Songbird", it would appear that he told the North Vietnamese
everything they wanted to know which got him moved to a first-class
hospital not available to other POW patients. What is needed here is
reliable THIRD-PARTY verification of what really happened. The
public can not be expected to sit at McCain's feet and take his word
as gospel. He was a collaborator and thus his word alone is NOT
    enough.
    6. The there is the whole carefully nurtured myth of "the war-hero."
I contest that until I hear it confirmed from reliable third parties
with the credentials to prove their reliability.
    7. Once he was home McCain apparently carried on an adulterous
affair with at least Miss Vicki while he was still maried to his first
wife who was not fortunate enough to have a private fortune and was
shamefully divorced as she had been crippled in an auto accident
while our immoral "hero" was still reputedly a POW.
    8. Miss Vicki, who along the way stole drugs to feed her habit from a
charity she apparently "worked" for. provided the money for Johnny's
political involvements. One wonders how corrupt Arizona politics
must be if this moral bankrupt has been able to be in Washington
    as long as he has.
    9. Then there are the Keating Scandals, not just the one we always
hear about, but also the big one, the shaopping mall deal which
on paper involves only Miss Cindy and Keating, but now really who
thinks ole Johnny didn't help out somewhere?????
Anyway, I for one would like to know the real truth here, not the republicon Bush/McCain adjusted truth, The real truth. I am holding the MSM reponsible for bringing it all into the light.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Love your post, but when you say "Miss Vicki" I think you are talking about "Miss Cindy." Miss Vicki is that "Vicki Iseman" chick who had the affair with McShame. Who knows, Vicki might just be McCain's "baby momma" #3?
  • lark83 · 1 year ago
I'm no fan of McCain, but your points 3,4,5, and 6 don't carry any water at all. For example, one cannot "drive a plane into the ground" that results in your capture. A-4 Skyhawks are not cars. A surface to air missile blew his wing off. And the fire on the Forrestal was caused by an errant missile fired from an F-4 when they went from external power to internal power on the aircraft. McCain was sitting in his A-4 on the other side of the deck.

I think trying to trash this part of his life will only bring him sympathy votes. Lets be smart and concentrate on the terrible presidential candidate that he truly is.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Well, ya can't get too critical of anyone just reporting unsubstantiated rumors. I've heard the same stuff about him. I wouldn't repeat them. Remember what Republicans did to John Kerry's reputation as a war veteran? Therefore, I think we should give her and others like her, for instance me, a break when I happen to pass along information that might or might not be true.
  • lark83 · 1 year ago
Yeah, it is pretty amazing that the repugs were able to some extent trash Kerry's outstanding war record. I chalk it up to 2 things: first, a lot of guys hate Kerry's guts for protesting the war and pointing out some of the atrocities that American soldiers were commiting, and 2nd, Kerry did nothing for about 3 days before finally responding to it. It should have never happened. They were obviously lying but Fox news of course never let the story drop. Its really Kerry's fault for sitting on his ass so long that the ignorant independents bought into it. I don't see how demos with no ethics could trash McCain. Unlike Kerry, McCain's war record has the solid backing of veterans groups.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
No, as a veteran, I must point out there are quite a few veterans who DO NOT back John McCain's war record. Many Viet Nam veterans, and some who were actually POWs state McCain's code name was "songbird" because he so readily gave up information to his captors. They also say he was treated better for his cooperation, and the fact his father was an admiral. John McCain crashed FOUR jets before he was shot down in Viet Nam. That is no record to be proud of. Do you know how much those jets cost the American taxpayer? Maybe he was hoping they would just ground him rather than continuing to send him on missions? All I know is there are veterans groups out there that can't stand John McCain. I'm neutral as far as his war record is concerned, but I'm not going to celebrate his war record when John Kerry was trashed by the Repugs.
  • lark83 · 1 year ago
Thats interesting. I am active in the VFW and I'm not aware of any mainstream veterans' groups (VFW, American Legion, etc) that don't admire his war record. McCain was very warmly received at the annual VFW convention last year, only because of his war record. I heard his speech was nothing special. I also shared an office back in 93/94 with a long term POW who told me McCain was considered a "standup" guy. I'm an ex AF pilot and all my training and contacts tell me there is nothing there to criticize. Demos best just stick to the fact that McCain isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer and would make a disasterous president.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
I'm a veteran, and I'm also involved in the DAV. I know PLENTY of veterans who don't trust McCain's service any more than they trust the rest of the myth that has been built up around him. He is a man of hypocrisy.

Republicans, in general, don't have much to be proud of when it comes to the nation's veterans. Sure there are the stupid ignorant fools who think because a Republican slaps a flag on his lapel it means he "loves the troops," but there are also a lot who actually look at the voting records of Republicans and Democrats and realize Republicans are ALL TALK and no action regarding veterans.

  • lark83 · 1 year ago
Interesting link. My sense is that the 2 largest vet groups, the VFW and the American Legion, still remain overwhelmingly Republican and will mostly support McCain. I think I'm starting to see cracks in the support though. Maybe by the fall that will change.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
The old gas bags who run those organizations will remain Republican while the younger veterans are waking up to who REALLY supports them, and that would be the Democrats. I don't have much faith in the elderly to be able to think critically. I know a lot of them who watch FOX NEWS 24/7 and buy their propaganda.
  • ob08 · 1 year ago
He was 5th to last in his class - just goes to show you that he got preferential treatment from the Navy because his daddy was an admiral. That would be the only way he was able to be a pilot. Just think - more qualified people were passed over and this dumb fool made it. Way to go Navy.

O/T but can I ask everyone a huge favor? We in Iowa (I live in Cedar Rapids, over 100 city blocks flooded downtown so far) are hurting bad, and it is continuing to rain. We have officially surpassed the flood of '93 by at least 8 feet in Cedar Rapids and the water is not expected to crest until sometime tomorrow. Most of our state is in the midst of severe flooding. We have been pummeled with tornadoes this year. One nearly destroyed the town of Parkersburg and severely damaged the town of New Hartford on Memorial Day. Just this last week a Levy broke and flooded the town of New Hartford and finished what the tornado started. Yesterday a tornado struck a Boy Scout camp in Western Iowa and killed 4 and injured 48. We are all kind of shell-shocked, sad, not sure how to feel or what to say. The same kind of thing is happening all around the Mid-section of the nation right now. Please, please, think of us and all other parts of the Midwest as you head to bed tonight. We could use your thoughts and prayers. Thank you. and God Bless.

    Sincerely,
    Vincent C Reedy

Someone with knowlede of the law can chime in, but my guess is that actually they can legally donate an hour of broadcast time to McCain (I assume this was on Fox News, which is a cable network, not the Fox Network, which is over the air.

Also, Bloomberg is a registered independent, not a Republican,

Good catch though - haven't seen this elsewhere.
  • bullitt · 1 year ago
Fox News is the closest thing we will ever have to communism. The Crime Family that runs the Federal Government uses these sleaze bags as a mouth piece for the lies that they keep feeding the public. Of course the stupid sex, guns, and sports oriented society that we live in endorses these clowns. They think their conservative bullshit is the way things are. Senior citizens thinks that Fox news is gospel and the church goers, the hypocrites, love the Fox!
McCain will scare these dumb shits into another Republican victory and the big boys will laugh on their way to the bank.
This Country is in a sad state........when will we wake up?

It seems as if the Republicans are getting their knickers in a knot over Michelle Obama. And getting ready to take aim at her over the next few months. But maybe they should take a look in the mirror and ask themselves what are they so “proud” of? Maybe they should revisit what Michelle Obama has seen from her American leaders since she was born the year after President Kennedy got killed. And then, no matter what they come up with and manage to spin, I’ll still take a straight shooter who doesn’t mince words - the Michelle way. That’s American. That’s the American way. And the choice of spouses also tells me loads of the candidates themselves. And not the way you think. http://angryafrican.net/2008/06/12/michelle-not...

I enjoy KO, but sometimes he is a bit preachy and quite a bit holier than thou. He needs to save his ten minute verbal expulsions to the most pressing of matters. It is almost as if he is MSNBC's for being a war loving subsidiary of warprofiteering GE, much in the same way the wives of Charlie Christ' and Larry Craig serve as the beard for their male ass cravin'/cock sucking/cum guzzling tendendcies. Not that there is anything wrong with their tendencies, unlike GE.

Why should Obama trust McCain to do Town Hall meetings with him if he won't even be honest with the Republican's cable news network - FOX NEWS?

McCain is destined to go the same way as Karl Rove's "Permanent Republican Majority" it seems.
