I found this rather telling (said by a woman, McBush's own mother):

The only figure in the McCain camp who has candidly acknowledged any glitches is his mother, the marvelous 96-year-old Roberta McCain. Back in January she said that she didn’t think her son had any support in the G.O.P. base and that those voters would only take him if “holding their nose.”

Most Hillary supporters need to understand that it was the GOP that destroyed Hillary from the very beginning. The GOP with Rove leaked press stories and information to drive up Hillary’s negatives even before she announced her candidacy. The GOP thought she would be the Democratic nominee and needed to destroy her reputation and define her image. That is why the initial press was so aligned against Hillary initially.
Until women as a group start to fight back against this kind of stuff they will always lose and be thought of as second class.

And that is why they laid off her during the entire primary season, because they WANTED to run against her. Have none of her supporters noticed that?

ok. the Weekly Standard has started with the hit pieces on Obama. They need to be called out now. Here's one for you to consider:

    http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Ar...

It's titled 'Mr. Obama's Neighborhood' and what it's saying is, 'if you vote for this scary, black, radical, militant, muslim, ghetto, brother from the hood, there goes our nice little white christian male power structure!!!"

It won't matter to Hillary supporters. they are so mad that they lost they want Barak to lose just to prove a point. They are willing to put the last nails in the coffin of this country to prove a point.

I am getting more disgusted with every day.

I have not met ONE female Clinton supporter who plans to vote for McCain. Not one. I suspect all of the ones online are actually republicans stirring up stuff. I, and every single other female supporter (with one exception) of HRC that I know - online and off - plan to vote for Barak Obama in November. The only one I know that isn't is in a safely blue state and is voting McKinney - although she said if she were in a swing state, she'd vote Obama. I know ONE male supporter of HRC that is tentatively planning to stay home. That's it.

Good news! I have been reading Talk Left so it seems there are many, but maybe it is only a few "troublemakers!"
  • mirth · 1 year ago
I'd bet $ that you are right, just as there is reason to believe that a significant # of Hillary's votes in the primaries were from cross-over conservatives.

i am one older, angry, white woman for Obama.
i just hope McGrandpappy keeps this Weekly Standard blogging moron on board.
what few female supporters he has now, he won't keep much longer.

Come to think of it, I might have said that about Hillary too.

The Weekly Standard is a wingnut fantasy publication, isn't it?
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
notice how the "fine journalists" of the Weakly Standard have nothing to say about Saggy McNutsack.

it's all about tearing down Obama. that's all they've got.
