    In case you missed it.

Fey does what the media cannot.
    Enjoy!

Thom Hartman had an interesting discussion with a doctor on his program on Air America Friday.....apparently not only were the pages not numbered they were also scrambled....out of order.
  • grandma · 1 year ago
The doctor was Dr. Richard Sagebiel a pathologist in dermatology and co-director of the UCSF Melanoma Clinic.

Over 2,750 doctors have signed Brave New PAC's open letter urging McCain to provide full, public disclosure of his medical records.

Brave New PAC's ad on McCain's medical records has been censored by the corporate press and attacked by right-wing shock jocks like Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh.

Grandma - to not release McShank's medical records is a slap in the face to all responsible citizens; not to mention it is probably illegal. But then rePIGs ignore subpoena's, break the law on a daily basis, etc. etc. Look at all the criminals from the Bush years walking around right now - starting with Rush Limbaugh, caught with 38,000 hits of oxycotin (8 hits would send us straight to Jail). We could go on and on.

Historians will surely look back at this era and say to themselves "...how could so many people be so fucking stupid?". My response (to those reading this in the future) - propaganda, whores, money, greed, lies, bullshit, bigotry, racism, fear, false flags - you name it - and the right wing rePIGs have embraced it.

I think we have to accept that Palin would be the president, eventually, if McCain is elected. Completing the task of turning us in to a trailer trash nation.
  • Bubbles · 1 year ago
    A process Bush began.

I am quite sure that McCain is gone inside of 18 months of January 20th, 2009. There is no shortage of dimented wingnuts willing to make a name for themselves for the sake of the cause.

If you think the last 8 years was a carnival regime, the following 8 years would be a total and complete disaster. Still she would poll 27%, with another 23.5% undecided.

The most likely result, I predict, would be, first a virtual selection of Hillary as a pseudo-prime minister over the combined housed of the legislature, followed by an amendment to the constitution confirming the result. Sounds far fetched now, but so does a Palin Presidency. Too far fetched for their not to be an institutional reaction.

What non-Kool-Aid drinker can believe anything Gupta says? He's devolved into nothing but a CNN shill for Big Pharma which spends how many millions in advertising there? Remember how Gupta and Larry King tried to skewer Michael Moore a few months back?

Off topic: Arianna Huffington just wrote that Palin wears her ignorance like a beauty pageant crown. Priceless!

I don't recall a presidential or vice-presidential candidate ever being as much of a smart-ass as Palin has become. That mocking tone, the smirks. WTF are people thinking? It's embarrassing to think that around the world, everyone is watching us become more of a laughing stock than we already were. All I can see is a snotty cheerleader in the halls in her high school making snarky remarks to the kids walking by who are beneath her. It is one of the things that has brought McCain's campaign down, so I'm happy she's keeping it up; at the same time I'm getting to the point that I have to mute the sound on my teevee and turn away every time she opens her pie hole. It's disgusting.

I agree....hockey mom should be changed to 'cocky mom'
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
I agree. People around the world have spoken to me, and they see her as a big joke. It is a shame that many Americans have been taken in, yet again, like they were taken in by Bush, twice. Where is the high standard we set for our leaders? We do not need to vote for our next door neighbor, a PTA member, has an unmarried, pregnant daughter, absolutely no qualifications to lead this country, and who called herself Joe six pack (ugh!). She has shown in one on one interviews that she is ignorant, and out of her league. I do agree the smirks during the debate, the folksy language, and the inability to answer a question straight, was embarrassing to say the least. Can you say nukiller?
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
There really should be some way to force those voters who caused our nation so much damage by voting TWICE for Dubya to sit out this election. We would be so much better off without their influence. I guess our nation is being punished, in a way, for allowing our people to become so disengaged and stupid.

During lunch at work Friday, a few of the older Dallas women were saying how they like Palin because she's "one of them" She is "down to earth"...that she's "kick ass"

I merely said, "I want my presidents to be BIGGER and BETTER than I am. To be smarter, to be surrounded with brilliant Ivy League types (that's arguable)...to be great statesmen. Not PTA mommies or daddies. Not hockey moms. Not beauty queens. But lawyers, judges, brilliant thinkers.

The luncheon table went dead silent.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
good for you! I'm sick and tired of the stupid low information voters who think this is some kind of "Ameircan Idol" or "Mrs. America" competition! I loved the SNL skit who made fun of this when Sarah Palin's character started playing the flute at the end of the debate and asked, "Isn't it the talent portion of the contest now?"
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
LOL! That was my favorite (and there were many to like) line in that whole skit. I was smiling the whole but when she turned up with that flute I almost laughed myself off the sofa.

Mine was the reference to loving jews and cuban food in reference to Miami.

Seriously, though, Palin is a dominionist, and their goal is theocracy. I started following them in 1998; they were involved in the foolish Y2k scare.
VERY frightening for this atheist woman.

Day after day I listen to the drivel about those shows and all sorts of crap
TV they watch in the evening. One of our colleagues is a very active Dem and
the other day he began talking about the polls, the blogs, etc. One of the
women asked what a blog was. One said that polls must really be accurate
because MSNBC said so. And on and on. They are totally convinced that Texas
will be a landslide for McCain. And they vote the way their husbands do. I
finally finished my salad and just left the room because I was afraid
security would come and cuff me if I went off like the space shuttle.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Let me guess they watch "reality teevee" or "Wheel of Fortune" and other lame-o game shows. Most of them would not be caught dead watching the Daily Show or Colbert Report because satire requires an understanding of current events. In fact, I did watch Colbert Report once with a disengaged Republican and she actually thought it was a serious news show! LOL! I had to explain to her it was satirical comedy. LOL!
  • red_dwarf · 1 year ago
I had the same experience in 2001 when, at a dinner table with approximately 20 guests (inlcuding a few fuds and other academics) I suggested that W should be impeached. You could hear a pin drop.

BQinD - it strikes me that ~40% of Americans are non-thinkers, shall we say, brain dead when it comes to current events. To view Palin as "down to earth" is to confirm your ignorance. People don't like to admit or confirm they're wrong - hence the silence. Palin could not be more unprepared to take over the Presidency. Propaganda will continue to hide the truth.

For the sake of the next generation coming up I do hope the criminal rat bastards of the 1950's are finally driven from power. America has had enough fascist scumbags at the helm to last for centuries.

It's the final objective for the GOP since Nixon...get the people dumb
enough to buy any piece of shit product with enough lies and they nation
will elect drunken frat boys and senile old farts with sugarmamas.

what else would you expect in TX - typical redneck reaction. We spent 3 very long years in Dallas back in the 1970's. Boy were we happy to see that state in our rear-view mirror!

Sarah Palin is putting her faith in her fellow Talibangelicals to make sure that "half-heartbeat" away from Presidency comes to pass. Believe me, I wouldn't put it past one of those mentally ill worshippers of hers to help along what they consider "God's will" by their tenth reading of the "Left Behind" series.
  • catdance · 1 year ago
McCain's complete medical record would be much much larger than 1173 pages. It would encompass records from his primary care doctor, his oncologist, his surgeon and more doctors. It would include exam records and hospital records. Operative reports from his surgeries. Nursing notes. Progress notes. Radiology reports. Lab reports. Pathology reports. And more. The man is in his 70s -- there are a ton of records.

Fact: John McCain's dad died at 70 of a heart attack. His grandfather died at 61 of a heart attack.

Erratic Bubble Boy Bush Twin.. McCain already has one foot in the grave...

I am telling you all this is a coup unlike any you have ever seen if these two get in office. The religious right wants Palin in as president. They will pray McCain will die and she will take over and then they will have her under their control. This should scare the hell out of everyone.
  • jansteph · 1 year ago
I have thought for a long time that McCain is getting a little "Dotty" in the head. I think he should submit to a full scale mental and physical exam before the election, I don't think he is fit to be president. I Ronald Reagan getting "Dottier" as time went on, and am convinced that he had alzheimer's long before his term was over. I think his last term was all a sham with him being coached and trained what to say. The Great Communicator was gone years before Reagan left office. There were times when he would have the "deer caught in the headlights" look when speaking. Poor Fella. Let's not make the same mistake with McCain, It would be a tragedy if Ms Palin was made president because of some deterioration on the part of McCain. She is dangerous, and too much like Cheney.
  • missmarple · 1 year ago
I cringe when I see him bound on to the stage or greeting people after getting of his jet. He is an old man, trying to give the impression of a young one. His attempts are pathetic. I think he has a group of people in charge of him who have their own agenda and are using him to get into a position of power with McCain as the figurehead. I would not be surprised if Palin is in on the charade. She is power hungry as evidenced by her rise from PTA mom to Governor. She didn't there by being nice.
