Nice summary. I've been reading everything I can get on this for most of the evening and your summary is the best I've seen. there was a nice press conference this afteroon with Franken's lawyer at www.theuptake.org

I'm obsessed too: Its not just that Coleman is such a disgusting punk. Which he is.

But Franken is golden. He would be a great Senator. He is a jedi knight at the use of satire and humor. Humor is one of the most potent political weapons there is. FDR got elected on the basis of one joke alone: "my dog Fala". Barney Frank destroyed the Republican opposition to the bailout over his 'hurt feelings' mocking of them.

Franken then, doesn't just unseat an punk, he himself is worth about two or three normal pedestrian Senators.

Yeah, but four years ago, Gregoire won Washington by only 129 votes. It's nice to hear the Coleman's lead is dropping, but I won't get excited yet. Ted Stevens losing, now, that was a gift from baby Jesus.
