AMERICAblog: Fred Hiatt Strikes Again. Attacks Obama on campaign finance while McCain is breaking the law

  • Mike_H · 1 year ago
Again, this is because the corporate media will ignore the GOP candidate's problems, even if they are worse than the Democrat's. They aren't objective, they WANT McCain to beat Obama or Clinton, and they'll try to suppress any story that puts McCain in a negative light.

And if the story can't get out of the blogosphere and into the national spotlight, Obama will lose points on this issue and McCain will not. It's decidedly unfair but we need to be realistic -- we absolutely CANNOT count on any mainstream media to cover this election in a fair and balanced fashion.

The NEOCONS dominate US media, and they HATE Obama. Obama's campaign has to put together a massive ground operation to bypass the media and speak directly to voters because the warmongers and their omnipresent media friends are hell bent on destroying Obama's campaign, and by extension all hope for this country.

    Typical Hiatt bullshit.
He lives in a fantasy world devoid of facts, too compelled by his phobia of doing research to ever report the truth.

McCain is not that popular even in the reddest of red states: Rassmusen polls Montana
    John McCain 48%
    Barack Obama 43%

    John McCain 56%
    Hillary Clinton 36%

    Ah, the old KKKarl strategy.

Take attention off your candidate's weakness by going after your opponent's strength.

We all know nothing is going to be done to McCain. Now the DNC wants to get involved by suing. What a joke. Why don't the Democrats, the DNC, concentrate on impeachment of Bush and Cheney, take legal action against Rumsfeld, Gonzalez, and the whole Bush administration instead of trying to make themselves look big by taking on McCain.

Go to the source, Bush. But we also know this is not going to happen. The Congress, Dems and repugs, are only interested in their own interest and the rest of the country can be damned. The Congress have their big salaries, health insurance, and a healthy retirement plan (which can't be taken away even if they are booted out of office). What I want to know, who do they expect to pay all of their bills when the middle class is eliminated?

    Hillary booed...

“I understand my opponent came this morning and spent a lot of his time attacking me,” Mrs. Clinton said. “Well, you know, I know that many of you, like me, were disappointed by recent remarks that he made.” (A smattering of boos was heard across the floor, and some people in the crowd shouted, “No!”)

DrudgeReport.com confirms what we always knew: "MCCAIN: 'HILLARY CAN STILL PULL IT OFF'; PREFERS CLINTON CONTEST"

Hillary's nothing more than McCain in drag.

Reminds me of Hillary suggesting she'd let Obama be her VP, as Obama was up on total population vote, total pledged delegates AND number of states won. Mighty white of her. And now McCain's buddies in the media are hinting they might go easy on OBAMA if he plays ball with McCain on the the campaign policy he needs to have in place (and not be arrested for Campaign finance fraud) for him to have a fighting chance of winning legitimately.

Schadenfreude - it's not just for breakfast anymore.

the McCain fanboyishness of the beltway bumpkins is sickening. McCain could kill Hiatt's children and he'd blame the Democrats for it

What the hell is this? According to the article The Clinton Foundation is in cahoots with a Chinese internet company that has posted WANTED signs on line for Tibetan dissenters.

By your own article, Joe, you say that McCain hasn't breached the $54 mil spending limit. Last week he affirmed that he was staying in the FEC system. What's the prob? Is McCain a weasel?.... Hell, yes! But he apparently hasn't broken any law. The FEC is what is broken. I'm sure that a federal judge could declare the FEC defunct. But, why bother? As you say, McCain can't raise any money anyway. I just threw his request for cash in the circular file. He may not be able to max out on matching funds.
