I hear that Dean is pressuring her to quit now. She will not quit or drop out. I fully expect her to take the DNC to court over this if she dose not get the nomination.

Looks like D. Osse will be back in the House. He's clean so gess that will have to do. I know he will win. It is only a matter of winning the nod. This is Hangtown and Brown has no chance here.

I wouldn't worry about your taxes...both Hillary and Obama will roll back the tax cuts on the top 1% of the nation. The rest of us will be fine.
  • Hangtown Danile · 1 year ago
    Ha!
I will it dose not matter what the white house wants! it is all up to the House of Reps! I don't think they are going to let any of the tax cuts stand. thats just me however. I big question still needs to be asked: were dose all this money for the new spending come form? Are we going to borrow it? Is it going just appear? If we are going to have government run healthcare that money has to come from someplace. It will come from the bank accounts of folks like my wife and me. And its to bad, we just got dome liveing paycheck to paycheck for the last 7 years and are just about to get out from under all that and really prosper. If I make 75K a year as a RT working for the VA and my wife is able to add another 30K working part time. As far as the Dems in the house are concerned we are rich and need to pay more to help "the poor".
I understand how an increase in taxes will increase production.
I we can keep more of our own money to pay our morgage, to pay for healthcair, to pay for the things we need for out family WE will work less hard.
My wife will work 20 hrs. a week and I will work at most 30 hrs a week so we can both spend more time raseing our kids.
By paying more money to taxes we will have to work harder to make our own ends meet. This meens pepole work harder when taxes are higher.
Some say this is a good thing.
All I know is that it will mean is we have less time to spend with out kids.

I agree that 100k after taxes isn't very much these days...but that is true even after 8 years of Republican tax cuts. They are only interested in helping the elite. The Dems aren't gonna raise our taxes but the Middle Class needs to put pressure on the Dems to start forcing Corporate Amerika to pay their fair share of the tax burden, thereby taking some of the pressure off ordinary folks like us.

Obama has yet to take a definitive public stance on affirmative action in this campaign, but he did voice a radio ad in opposition to Connerly's successful 2006 campaign in Michigan. Darren Davis, a professor of political science at Notre Dame, calls the emerging Connerly question "one of the most profound" of Obama's campaign--especially in the wake of the controversy over his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright. "Basically, on every racial issue Barack Obama is walking the tightrope," Davis says. "The more he supports traditional black issues like affirmative action, the more that will eat into his white base of support." Obama has been careful when broaching this issue; in a 2007 ABC News interview he suggested that the affirmative action of the future should consider economic status more than race. If Connerly's successful in making this an issue for Obama, it wouldn't be the first time state ballot initiatives affected a presidential campaign.

    What a fantastic video...thanks Joe!
The Clinton supporters/older generation needs to see videos like this one.
If Obama can inspire these young generations with their fresh enthusiasm for positive hopes and dreams of a brighter future...than that is more powerful than all the experience in the world.
Obama needs to go out there and tell people:
    Energy Follows Intention!
And I intend to lead America out of this terrible mess our nation is in.
If Obama can inspire the elders as much as he has these kids...just imagine the possibilities!
