Why does every gay man I've known or slept with love orchids so much? Especially atop a grand piano.

Me, I prefer tulips on my organ. Ba-da-boom!

It's beautiful, John, but I don't think it looks gay, like a rabbit, or like a gay rabbit.
Good thing I'm not registering hybrid names.
    :)
    Happy Friday!

Man, I really like your orchid blogging. I have no green thumb, and no interest in gardenting, etc. , but enjoy your garden "geekness". I am a geek, full discloser. Glad your plant acheived your goals, and keep up the good work

Orchids remind me of Mother's Day and THAT reminds me that 177 Republicans voted down Mother's Day, may they rot in hell.

I've had a miserable time trying to grow orchids. Feed them, water them according to instructions, even try to keep the air moist by using an inverted plastic "tent". Never works--I suspect it's because the house is in almost perpetual shade.

I do, however, enjoy the little terrestrial Calypso orchids that seem to grow in abundance under the thick tree canopy near the house.

Maybe some things should just live free.

My father transplanted a wisteria plant and it took over 30 years for the thing to bloom. It had foliage every year, and since it was behind the garage he never bothered to cut it down. It is beautiful right now. It still blooms infrequently, but is well worth the wait.
