Georgia Congressman Jack Kingston, concerned during the campaign about Mr. Obama's flag pin, was on Mourning Blow this AM pushing the same reasoning. This lightweight doesn't think America can walk and chew gum at the same time...He thinks we should hold off voting rights for DC's representative, healthcare reform and union fairness and focus exclusively of bailing out his rich corporate friends and party members. Just 'cuz he ain't wearing a red nose don't mean he no clown!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2mwFMn0oUI

Dontcha think you are being to hard on bush and the republicans? Bush ahd a ranch to run for god's sake with all that brush that necessitated him to be there in Crawford to take care of that brush problem. And honestly, the republicans have had so many ethical problems, how could you even think they should be concerned with the economy. Didn't mcCain tell us the fundamentals of the economy are strong? Whats the rush? And speaking of rush, he says Obama is not even doing this economy any good. All he can do is give speeches and talk on radio, another one that can only do one thing at a time. No wonder the republicans are jealous of Obama. He can walk, talk and do policy, sign bills into law and undo 8 YEARS OF REPUBLICAN RULE. No wonder why they are jealous!!!

He's too dumb, to eat pretzels, apparently smart enough to fix an election. Moved boldly into the White House, but most people voted against him. He likes naps, He really likes naptime. A couple of naps and then a nap and then he's ready for bed. He may be from Bush descent, but he's always gonna be the unpresident.

Leave Eric Cantor alone. He is the repub's great white square jawed hope. Is he related in any way to the Cantor Fitzgerald bond group out of NYC?

obviously, cantor needs to convince his base that a President can't do more than one thing at a time... I'm waiting for them to start spinning chimpy as a saint.
its coming... probably as soon as the economy turns around.
I'm sure the GOP will say it was due to bush's bank bailout (you know, the one with no oversight?).
if things get better, it'll be bush's policy that did it... if it gets worse, it'll be Obama's.
and the press will eat it up.

TAKE NOTE those of you who never miss an opportunity to say that we can't address marriage discrimination against gays or DADT or anti-discrimination legislation or any other gay rights issues while the country is in an ecconomic crisis and at war.
And take note of your own words President Obama.

I love the way Cantor shows this big shit-eating grin when he gets called on his crap by anyone, even the dweeb Chris Matthews.
It's like the cringe-inducing occasions when Bill Maher brings on Stephen Moore...the guy gets called on his bullshit and all he can do is grin like an idiot. I think the expression is quod erat demonstrandum...

McCain lost the election the day he suspended his campaign and all but admitted that he can't do two things at once. That strategy failed then and it will fail now. Let the republicans rehash it to their hearts content.

Obama's rebuttal is so good. I don't know if it's Bush or what, but I never expected a president to be so clear in his argument. I know most of my comments lately have been about how good Obama is. Truth is, I'm still in shock. The Republican's attacks are like cars trying to start with less and less fuel. They honestly can't find a bad thing to say about this guy. Which is odd, because we Democrat can find plenty, mostly how he like to reach out to the bigots, but then the Repub can't used that against him now can they. Ha ha ha ha.

It's not just GOP henchmen like Cantor who are pushing this "he's doing too much at once" blather. I've seen comments like that from presumably regular people (i.e. non-politicians), figuratively wringing their hands and spewing their concern about the President Who's Doing Too Much At Once, on other blogs. With people like Cantor, it's just all calculated to try to gain some traction in the news cycle with something, anything. With the aforementioned regular folks, it could be some free-floating anxiety about the economy and the general state of their world that's driving the hysteria.

I wouldn't use the Roosevelt argument that he had to fight a Depression and fight a war at the same time. I would say that Roosevelt had to fight the Depression in a myriad of ways, that were unconventional at the time, but today are the backbone of modern government.
The Lincoln analogy is very well put..
A President has to delegate, and in some ways, the Republicans want Obama to be a micro manager, like Jimmy Carter. Second, no matter President Obama's campaign rhetoric, the best time to do the difficult part is at the beginning of the Administration in US Politics.
I don't think Cantor is an idiot. He is a whiner, but he isn't an idiot. It takes some political acumen not to get the stench off from the Abramoff affair, Cantor could had been right in the middle of it, but he was sort of on the sidelines. What saved him was he was the lowly Freshman, but on the uphill track.

An attempt on their part to suggest to voters that if Obama looks beyond the immediate economic situation to what our country will need for its future prosperity that means he really doesn't care sufficiently about the crisis. Cynical, but It's obviously a tempting argument for the opposition in a country whose citizens are usually fixated on short term gain and tomorrow be damned.

Are Cantor and Jindal really as stupid as one concludes from the stupid things they say? Or are they, I wonder, just totally inept politicians who need to go to PR school to learn how to influence the public.
There seems to be an endless number of clowns emerging from the tiny GOP car.
