Throw in the great Obama ground game, plus new 150 thousand registered dems....and you may really see an Obama win in AZ. THAT WOULD BE A GIFT.

Obama's got the momentum in AZ. and it will all really depend on who gets out the vote. The GOP is losing motivation and could lose more than AZ. I'm even feeling optimistic about MT, ND, and GA.

I'd love to see Arizona go blue.

If I were McCain or part of his staff, I would't worry about Arizona. He still has enough of margin that he should win it, comfortably on election day.
The state I would worry about is Georgia. All the other battleground states, (FL, PA, OH, MO, NC, VA) are lost anyway.
Technically, McCain will lose his "home" state of Virginia by a pretty big margin.

Greetings from PHOENIX...
I have been waiting for this to come up...what a contrast from 2004 (and 2000) when there were "W" stickers on 50-60 percent of cars, trucks and SUVs here in the valley...BUSH/CHENEY posters and billboards were EVERYWHERE!
Now in 2008 there is virtually ZERO enthusiasm for McCain/Palin....more OBAMA/BIDEN bumper stickers than those for you know who! It is amazing. Even the "republican" headquarters on 7th St. looks like an abandon buliding...
Tucson looks like it is Obamas home town....signs everywhere.
DON"T COUNT US OUT! Sure it will be close....but OBAMA might just come out on top here in THE GRAND CANYON STATE!

I am in what may be the bluest (most blue?) part of Arizona, Tempe. I live about two miles from the ASU campus, although I work in some of the REDDEST (most red?) parts of the Phoenix area, including Gilbert and Apache Junction. The thing that we are all commenting on here is that Obama support seems to be much more visible than McCain supprt. There are more bumper stickers and yard signs for Obama all over the Phoenix area than there are for McCain, even in the very Republican areas. Also, a lot of people have stopped arguing with me about the tax cut issue, which was a massive point of contention until just after the last debate. I don't know that Obama will be able to take Arizona, but I think that it will be significantly closer than anyone ever expected. Btw, for any other locals, Obama's HQ is in an old house right on Roosevelt and 6th Street in downtown. There HAS to be a massive party planned for the 4th. I'll see you there!

Just on MSNBC....there is report of perhaps an assassination attempt on Obama in TN & AR. Plans to shoot several African-Americans also.
Let me show you what the repugs are putting out there. Rec'd this today (BH is still registered repug)
ANSWER THE CALL TO DUTY VOTE REPUBLICAN & DEFEND YOUR GUN RIGHTS
STOP THE DEMOCRATS: from weakening our Second Amendment rights. from criminalizing law-abiding gun owners. from taking away our right to defend our homes & families, especially in times of emergency. from working to permanently ban certain types of guns, stop or reverse concealed carry laws one by one in states across the country, and limit our gun rights to the point of complete elimination. from taking away the hunting and sporting rights we've shared through the generations.
These are the lies that they hope will rile up the type that will maybe decide to take matters into their own hands.
Fear is all they have left. McCain & Co. have sunk to an all time low.

Nice cartoon about Arizona getting close in the polls and the very different treatment of Pennsylvania ("battleground state!" even though Obama now about 11% ahead) and Arizona ("safe for McCain" even though McCain now only about 6% ahead) at the Reasons To Be Cheerful, Part 3 blog...
