Looks yummy. One of my regrets after a trip to Italy in 2004, besides not having time to see more, was missing out on the gelato. It was in the middle of December though!

Looks delish, but I'm not there and can't get the real thing in NC, so I'd prefer my extra calories to come from chocolate. : )

Misleading headline here. Should be "Designed, Developed, Made and Sold in China". Obviously, GM is skipping the "free trade" stuff, such as designing, developing, and making this hybrid in the US, and is instead having it done in the consumer country, in which probably 99% of the its people can't afford the damn thing to start with. And this is considered "trade." How stupid do they think we Americans are?
Get this. Women across Texas are being influenced by the "Yearning for Zion" FLDS women's fashion zing! Managers of "Calico Corners" are saying their "Back to the 70's! - Little House on the Prairie" patterns are flying off the shelves in towns like Bubbaboo, Texas. Also, they CAN NOT keep up with massive orders of pastel colors of reams of plain cotton fabrics.
In hair salons across Texas, young women are demanding their hair be french braided and stacked in "piles" on top of their heads. There is also a move in young teen girls to speak in strange, halting baby talk and to travel in groups of six or more. When asked a question, the eldest will answer by saying, "I would never advise one of my children to do that!" followed by the rest of them saying the exact same thing one-by-one from eldest to youngest.
Very strange, folks, but ya gotta remember its the "Land of Dubya!"

Wow! Just saw the new poll out on Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. I also quickly caught Chris Matthews yammering something about how "EVERYONE wants the race to remain EXCITING!" First of all, Mr. Matthews, no we don't. We want gas prices to go down. We want a new President. We don't want EXCITEMENT. We've had plenty of excitement watching gas approach $4.00 - thank you very much.
As far as the poll is concerned, I think my feelings of being ready for this nomination race to be OVER! It was a poll of Democrats and Obama is CREAMING Hillary. I can't remember the exact number but he is trouncing her in double digits.
Oh, gawd, I gotta go do some work today so I'm outta here, but if I hear one more thing about the Catholic Pope being some kind of rock star, I'm gonna puke! Why is the Catholic Church, who seems to be so sensitive, and adverse to being tagged as "idolators" so DESPERATE for their Pope to be portrayed as a "rock star?" They revel in glee when people go wild eyed, apeshit bananas, and screaming like banshees when the Pope visits. If I were the church, I wouldn't promote that kind of behavior, I'd be embarassed by it.

Thank you so much for the glorious picture of the gelato. Just the wonderful colors recall to my mind the great flavors as well as both the icyness and the tangy fruitiness with only a limited amount of sugar that lets the natural flavor predominate. Mmmmmmmmmm!

Chris, not to spoil your Gelato plans, but I had few days in the Dolomiti. I was based in Bolzano (Bozen). I just got back to my place in Roma and the first thing that my girlfriend and I did was go out and get some gelato. In Roma, the best is Giolitti near the Parliament. We opted to go around the corner to a local place and I had an gelato with strawberries, lemons and hazelnut. And it is about 80 degrees F here.

Chris in Paris; what's your take on this article about Juncker from Luxembourge, who is the Paul Bernanke of Europe, who is worried about the outsourcing of jobs to the US and is afraid that the dollar will bring down the Euro and cause a recession in Europe? The meat starts at paragraph 7.
