exactly tbhull.. the bailout did squat now, and a year from now. forget the bs 'it will take time'.. the credit markets are done.. and no amount can fix that now, not without complete weimer republic levels , zimbabwe levels, of mass printing money. the bailout was a securitizing of the stolen wealth for the top 1% of the top 1%. last ditch effort to takes the spoils and get the f**k out. the momentum of failure for years and years is too strong to be overcome. CEOs and Bush embezzled the entire $700 billion as Bush intended. Of course, this was predictable Friday morning before the House approved the bill and before Bush signed it. We knew it was simpy $700 billion in fraud. That is what Bush has been about since 2001 but also what the Damnocrats have been since 2006 victory.

Has anyone checked to see how far Air Force One is from Paraguay? They should be landing about now if they haven't already landed. Is Air Force One capable of carrying $700 billion in cash or do they need a cargo plane to transport that much money? But, $700 billion in American currency won't be worth more than a rat's nest thanks to Bush.

It truly is a shame. My mother has a lot of money and try as I might, I couldn't get her to buy gold. She called me crazy. It drove me crazy that she keeps currency in safes. I tried to get her to convert it into gold, but she is a child of the fifties. She kept saying crap like, "honey, this stuff happens before ever election..."
Its scary... hyper inflatation here we come. I told my mother, one day you are gonna open that safe, and all you will have in there is just... green paper.

I just saw John McCain LIVE and he is a very disturbed, angry man. He DOES NOT deserve to be President! He all but called Obama the N word! While the US sub-prime issues are 'global' in that they were bundled and sold, European banks are failing because of their own stupidity. For example, according to this week's Economist magazine, while the US banks loaned 0.96 for every dollar deposited (average), the European banks loan 1.40 euros for every euro deposited (average). How could those lending practices ever be be sustained?
Oh and the testimony today shows that AT THE SAME TIME Lehman's executives were begging the US to bail them out, they were also steering millions to executives in bonuses, etc.
