AMERICAblog: GOP movie star Chuck Norris appears to suggest that McCain may die during his first term

  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
Lady Rothschild could take his ass down pronto. Chuck better get with it.
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
Chuck needs to start crying... doncha know his tears cure cancer... McCain could use some of that right about now...
  • Rufus · 1 year ago
A tad off topic. but I'm hoping Obama gets McCain in a headlock tonight and holds on until they have to spray him with a fire hose. Now, that would be great TV -- you betcha.

I'm still laughing at that whole "action star" crap. He is a hasbeen, mostly just an infomercial schlepping for crappy home gym equipment with Christy Brinkley.

And who gives a shit who Chuck Norris supports anyway?
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
I don't because I know anyone at his level who supports a Republican is doing it for self centered greedy purposes or because they are an idiot, or ALL OF THE ABOVE.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Watching a very nervous Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke talk about our economic crisis. Lets all remind our Republican friends and idiots they wanted to give George W. Bush are social security to invest in the stock market!

looks like today's gonna be another blockbuster day on the DOW... down 230 right now...
  • nicho · 1 year ago
Keep reminding people that the Dow, when adjusted for inflation, has lost 30 percent of its value since the day Bush was (illegally) inaugurated.

First term? I think he'll keel over next week!

In four years a 72-year-old man will be 84. Evidently Norris is one child that got left behind. (Yeah, I know he was speaking figuratively. Don't pile on.)
  • nicho · 1 year ago
I don't think he was speaking figuratively. There is chronological age and there is your "health age"

    http://www.preventdisease.com/healthtools/artic...

The added stress of the presidency, anxiety, and the resulting anger and depression that mark McCain when he's frustrated (which the president often is) can add years to his "health age."

Add to that his cancer history and the guy is already probably about 84 in real terms.

Someone worth paying attention to commenting on this topic! Maybe now this story will pick up some traction.

I'm still of the opinion that Obama is just as likely to die in office (from a gun, of course). The difference is that Joe Biden could be president.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
I hope everyone will visualize a healthy Obama for two terms in office and for the rest of his life.
  • fostert · 1 year ago
I'm with you on that. But there are plenty of people in this country that aren't. I'll do my part, but sadly, so will they. The Secret Service thought Bill Clinton was a hassle, but they will have a much more serious issue with Obama. But they're professionals, they'll do the best they can. I hope it's good enough.

Chuck Norris is a "has been" or a "never was".
McCain's age probably would not have been an issue had he chosen a more qualified running mate. The idea of a Palin presidency scares the crap out of anyone sophisticated enough to see through her 'hockey mom", "Joe Six-pack" verbiage.

And Todd would be right beside her to guide her, by the light, with the light from above.

Raise your hand if you remember when Chuck Norris was an effeminate L'Oreale blonde karate twink.

    Slightly O.T.:

A psychotherapist friend of mine has this to say about McCain's PTSD:

"Does John McCain have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)? With my years of counseling experience, especially counseling Vietnam War veterans, I can imagine that he does. To my knowledge, there is no mention of this matter in any interviews, editorials or op-ed pieces. The only thing we ever hear -- and we hear it often -- is John McCain underwent experiences so horrendous that few of us could even fathom and that he is an American hero, which goes without question. But no one could survive 5 years or more in an enemy prison camp in isolation, being tortured and starved, and not be gravely affected. How would symptoms of PTSD -- nightmares, depression, paranoia, isolation, mood swings, angry outbursts -- effect Senator McCain's ability to lead? Is the American public seeing signs of PTSD cloaked in terms like "maverick"? Traumatic events in our lives affect us for a lifetime, and terrible trauma affects us terribly."

John, there's a video of these comments of his: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dbpfMWdPMQ
I had seen another one -- just Norris, without the Huckabee comments -- but can't find it right now.

Here... I think I just found it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqySPu07_kQ

The funny thing is, there's an old (2000) Crooks & Liars one of McCain himself practically saying he'd be too old to run in 2008:

Chuck Norris doesn't age, the years are afraid of him.

What's there to worry about, President Palin would totally pray harder than anyone for the financial crisis to be magically resolved. Plus, VP Chuck Norris. Win win.
