You know while we spend time laughing at Palin the real problems in this country go unaddressed by the GOP. the economy, the war, unemployment, healthcare, foreclosures, bank collapses, russia asserting itself, U.S. manufacturing gone, future for our children gone. These are the things Obama and Biden have to pound away on. Forget Palin. McCain and Palin are like a fly crawling up a drape. They have nothing to offer, nothing but history to wrap around themselves and POW McCain is bankrupt in terms of ideas and ways out of the mess. Just let them try to articulate their positions and because they have no ideas and have nothing but lobbyists and Bush boys surrounding them the only thing they can suggest is what has been a failure for 8 years. Palin is an insult to every American, not because she is a woman but because the GOP actually believe they can convince us that a woman who doesn't even know that taking care of her special needs child should be a priority not trying to get elected to be in line for the Presidency. Do the GOP think that if elected she would replace McCain at the end of the term. She is a moron and should have known better than to even dream she could do this job. Go after the 8 years of devastating decisions Bush/Cheney/McCain/ and all the rest have made. Ask Americans flat out---do you want 8 more years of failure--if you do vote McCain because you deserve each other.

I"m not laughing ABOUT Palin. The last frackin thing I wanted to happen was for the fundies to have a poster candidate. This woman is so unqualified, what does she think she'd doing by even accepting? If it's a matter that she's too stupid to figure out that she's not qualified, then we may as well start calling her Georgina right now.

This VP selection is going to implode all by itself.,,,,,,,
    the reason?

Cindy McCain is using Steve Duecy's talking point that Alaksa is next to Russia.

Bob Barr is spilling the beans on CNN right NOW!!!! OMG!

McCain vetted her and did it way too secretly.....

By the way where is the rest of the DNC. Not a single word from Hillary, Bill, Dean, Pelosi, Reid, not a a single one of these asswipes has uttered a word. Have they all become deaf mutes. They all need to be out campaigning for Obama. He and Joe can't do it alone. Get off your asses Dem Leadership and offer at least an opinion on Palin and her lack of qualifications. If they are all afraid to speak because they are afraid to offend a few women we are truly being led by the criminally insane. My only comment on Hillary complimenting Palin is, who gives a shit what she thinks. Do you want her to have her fucking finger near the trigger---"what does this switch do?----------Shit you just killed the world.

Some more photo op "optics" (my favorite Mrs. Greenspan jargon) for the Palins: Todd rescues panting puppies on his snowmobile (the skis converted to flotation devices). Sarah blasts away at possums in trees to show flood victims how to make possumburgers. Track and his platoon run a checkpoint in Nawlins protecting the MTV Real World "mansion" from marauding looters. By flashlight, Bristol shows off Trig "for inspiration" in a neonatal unit that forgot to repair its generator. Willow and Piper lead a Girl Scout troop in hauling dead kittens out of flooded homes.

McCain: A woman on the ticket, a natural disaster, and the Repbulican Natl Convention, wow, he's hit the Trifecta!

They're kidding themselves if they think the most well-managed hurricane is going to help them. Because however smoothly things go, the story is "the feds didn't F it up THIS time", with footage of Katrina for compare and contrast. Without a hurricane churning in the gulf, Katrina and the Bush administration's abysmal failure there was old news. Now it has currency. Now there's a reason to remind people about it - complete with cake footage.

NPR correspondent, David Welna just gushed the same thing: "I think this is a chance for [John McCain] to look presidential by saying the country comes before the party does."

nobody is going to be watching the R convention, so they gotta inject themselves into the Gustav news to get their bump.
