right. and if you are not in agreement with the atmosphere, you should be discouraging it. Palin and the gang are not doing so. They actually foster the environment that nurtures the hatred. Like yelling "Fire" in a crowded theater, they know their words are goign to stir up the nutcases in their midst and they don't care.

I'm glad the Republican Base is finally being exposed for the racists, bigots and haters that they are.
These are the same people who voted Democrat once upon time, but left the party when the Democrats chose to stand up for civil rights.
They've been moving over to the Republican party, first in ones and twos, then in droves, ever since Nixon's Southern Strategy.
Like a virus that destroys its host, they have been infecting the Republican party from the inside since at least the 90s, and now their virulent hatred is clear for all to see.
The Republican Party can no longer fight off the virus, and will likely succumb.

These people feel that McThusaleh and Bible Spice have given them permission to this. If anything happens to Obama, it will be on their heads and they should be put in jail. If it was Democrats acting like this, their names would be put on some terrorist watch list.

The people I see doing the most screaming and crying these last few weeks of economic collapse are the McMansion crowd...Boo freaking who??? Oddly yes, it's rich and not the often blamed poor people crying over lost cash...one, a big Bush backer in a $1mil+ home and driving a new Benz and Beamer moaning over the loss of "at least $100,000" in take home off book fun money from their manufacturing enterprise...This same person had some nasty things to say, last year, about our holiday charity giving to "lazy people"...

McCain & Palin are completely off the rails of civil society. This is classic totalitarian rabble-rousing. They are appealing to the lowest common denominator and the very worst in the human spirit. McCain should have sent a terse, direct & uncomplicated message to Republicans to stop that dangerous crap as soon as he got the first report of the catcalls. THAT would have been showing leadership. We're not looking at an incensed rabble with torches & pitchforks-- these people have guns! With Palin, the writing is so on the wall-- she doesn't give a rat's ass about McCain. She's all about "Palin 2012". Nothing like fomenting unrest with extremists, preparing your foot soldiers for the revolution/coup ahead. The only good thing about this is that it's sending smart & reasonable Republicans to the Democratic party!

I think we should start calling Republican Senators and ask their colleague to stop. I'm sure some of them would like to increase their own chances of being re-elected by looking like decent people and come out against this tactic. We also need to forget partisanship here and be Americans - These types of attacks do not represent who we really are.

That is such an important point! And make sure that your right to vote is in order. Check any way you can to ensure that you are properly registered & that your polling station will have sufficient manual ballots on election day should your vote be messed up in any way. It might take an hour out of your life to do this but could be the best hour you'll ever spend in your lifetime! Also, Americans need to start paying attention to global perception. The anti-American wagons are circling. Both France's Sarkozy & Russia's Putin have said that "American-style free market economics are dead". You can bet that if you don't elect a President who appears calm & yet possesses inner-strength, those international vultures who lust after power are going to zoom in on the corpse of U.S. global leadership.

This is rapidly moving out of electioneering and into a territory right out of Munich in the 1930s. It's time for the Secret Service to step in. When one presidential (and vice presidential) candidate insight their followers to consider the murder of their opponent, it's time for the secret service to do their job. They must threaten to suspend their campaign for them if they don't put a break on this line of attack. All's fair in love, war and politics??? Not when it comes to pushing your followers (whether intended or the "unexpected" result of a particular line of campaigning) to call for the assassination of your opponent. In Senator McCain's obsession at "winning at any cost", he is beginning to threaten the very democracy he has pledged to protect as a member of congress. Should this result in some horrific outcome (such as an attack on Obama or his family), both John McCain and Sarah Palin should be immediately arrested and charged with being accessories to attempted MURDER! I'm not kidding here. This is SERIOUS SH(#$ folks.
There's a special place in hell for all of McCain's campaign advisors and staffers, and I mean all of them.

McCain and Palin are now benefiting from years of hate talk radio and Fox News - Rush, Hannity, Beck, the whole lot of them. They've groomed these right-winged morons for this mission. Instill fear into the hearts of Americans that harm will come to Obama so maybe they'll be afraid to vote for him. Hillary used this tactic with the RFK comment. But this is a whole different ballgame. Rush wasn't kidding about wanting to incite riots back in Denver. He's be as happy as a stuffed pig if this country fell apart and Dems suffered violent fates. This is exactly what happens when you give a microphone to morally bankrupt people. Its not funny anymore.

McCain's ego is so big that he thinks if Obama is assassinated, then he McCain won since it won't be Obama that defeats him. What he is too stupid to comprehend is that not only will he insure his own defeat by encouraging Obama's assassination, but that he may well be charged with being an accessory to Obama's murder.
What is the matter with the prosecutors. This sort of incitement to violence is against the law. You can't yell fire in a crowded theater and expect not to be prosecuted. Oh, I forget, all the respectable prosecutors with any integrity were fired by Bush.

This is just wild. I never imagined that the election would end up like this (and hell we still have about 3 weeks to go). Where is the RNC? For that matter where is the DNC? Shouldn't they be calling their counterparts at the RNC and telling them this has to stop? It's time for someone to step up and call this what it is, inciting people to violence.
I have to believe that the Obama SS must have contacted the McCain SS about this. Unless they don't really care.

The NRA was formed to keep blacks from owning firearms. The kKK was formed to keep blacks in their place. The Republican Party was formed to keep blacks out of the politican arena. They were all formed about the same time. Go figure. The NeoCons in the Republican party have been trying to destroy the Democratic Government of the United States Of America since the election of Reigan. The same people who were in charge then are incharge today. Do you really expect them to be kinder gentler people when they are losing? Believe me they are not going to just take their loss and crawl into some dark hole somewhere and lick their wonds. we are going to see an "October Supprise" that will rock this country to it's core. And the "Good Citizens" of this country better be ready to do the hard things to get this country off the path the Republicans have it on or you can kiss the "American Dream" good bye.

I wonder if those God-fearin', communist-hatin' rethuglicans know about how much Pooty-Poot Putin loves McCain?
Kathleen Parker on MSNBC is afraid of where this is going . She puts the blame squarely on Palin shoulders while barely mentioning McCain's role in this increasingly out of control crowd.
Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck, O'Reilly, Savage, Coulter, Malkin, all hate machines. They play to bigoted, angry individuals and they have huge followings, scary huge followers. Why? I don't get it. Do all certifiable insane, all malcontents find comfort in their words? Their messages all are based on the same thing, hate and fear.
The hate that Palin and McCain are whipping up is more than dangerous, it is willful and deliberate. They are counting on one of their loyal followers to take action. Crooks and Liars has a video up of people waiting to get in to see McCain. The comments coming from that group are: commie fags, murderer, terrorist, muslim. Are these the words of sane people?

If McCain was pulling closer, they would be trumpeting the same crap as Palin and McCain. Why don't some of these people who say they are upset with McCain vocally ask him to stop. You got it, they really don't see anything wrong other than they want to be sure they aren't on the losing side.

Kathleen Parker has been writing hate messages for years and calling them op-ed pieces. She needs to work on making ammends for her own deeds.
Four years ago, John Kerry flirted with the idea of making John McCain his running mate. Today, he is denouncing the Arizona Senator for "a stunning failure of leadership," and running a nasty, hate-filled campaign.
In a letter to supporters, the Massachusetts Democrat -- no stranger to smears himself -- ramps up his criticisms of McCain to new heights. In addition to airing disgust with the tone of the McCain crowds, he rips Gov. Sarah Palin for making "outrageous charges that only a few years ago would have disqualified someone from serious consideration for national office."
YES, very true. I was a Republican...... That was when they were different. I don't recognize them anymore. The extreme hate, lies, holier than thou attitude, and adoption as GOD as their leader to the extreme while they do NOT follow their Christian teachings. These people are Satanic. It is said the churches are the Devil's playground. These people are not too far off base with Nazi tactics of control. FEAR, taking up God in their defense, no tolerance. ETC....... The scary thing is people are falling for it. just as the German people did with denial of it taking place.

This kind of hate wasn't created in a vacuum. This is the culmination of all the right wing radio hate talk, and shouldered by McCain - Palin who are trying to utilize it for power. Funny, but Republicans recoil at being called Nazis, but they never can explain how they are any different except for the fact they might not "gas the Jews" just yet. You can't tell me if the Republicans could they wouldn't round up the "homuhsexicals" and put them in camps! You better believe they would, and they'd have Larry Craig and Lindsay Graham running the operation!
Republicans are domestic terrorists! They are advocating violence against TWO sitting U.S. Senators led by another U.S. Senator, John McCain, and secessionist Governor from Alaska, Sarah Palin!
If anything bad happens, the blood is on McCain - Palin!
Here is another hateful video showing just how crazy and fascist Republicans are:
"The Sidewalk to Nowhere" - October 8th - McCain - Palin rally
They are fascists. Always have been, always will be. Now that an African-American will be president, they can't hide their true feelings anymore. Frankly, I'm surprised it has taken them this long to get this hateful. I guess as long as they thought they were stealing it, it didn't matter. Now that isn't going to work, so their true selves are coming forward. I don't think we've seen the worst of it yet. I pray for Sen. Obama. My 10 year old daughter insisted that I not put out Democratic signs. I don't have an Obama sticker on my car either. She's very afraid. How dare these fascists scare children this way. I'm as angry as I can get.

I agree with your comment. However, there will be no blood on McCain and Palin. They will revel in the results since they are encouraging, condoning and trumpeting the racist, bigoted attacks by their followers. Don't think for a second if these vile creatures have a leader they wouldn't get rid of the Jews, hang the blacks and kill all the illegal immigrants. I have posted here many times that at least here in North Western Pa. racism is right there just below the dermis. The boys at the local hardware know i will go ape shit if they drop the n word or any other racist, bigoted comment but it is there every day of the week. I don't know what gene makes liberals different it just amazes me how ugly and mean the right is and it is not just one or two or the majority. There is not a single person on the right who is open to discussion or when confronted with facts doesn't turn ugly and start screaming. If we win the Congress and the Presidency i think we should vote for euthanizia for all Republicans.

PattyP

This is the Shock Doctrine in action, I have absolutely no doubt. I started reading Klein's book last week and this morning it hit me like a ton of bricks - this is exactly what BushCo is trying to do. Wasn't it over a month ago when an elite police force was called in for service "in case of unrest around the elections?" Then came the economic crisis (possibly manufactured?) to make citizens really scared about their jobs, savings, etc., which has the effect of putting people into shock. Now it's McPalin fostering an atmosphere of hate and violence against liberals, Obama, "the enemy." These are very reminiscent of the steps taken by the CIA and corporate oligarchs in the 70s when they threw in their lot with Chile's Pinochet and other South American dictators who overthrew their countries' previously well-run, liberal-leaning governments, resulting in rampant poverty and hundreds of thousands tortured, disappeared, and dead. I knew this country was on its way down, but I never thought I'd witness it going from a first to a third world country literally before my eyes. My God.

Patty - exactly. The elite policia force was a military batallion fresh from Iraq (something like that). A false-flag, etc. is possible. However, I have this sinking feeling that yanking $2 trillion in cash at the last minute and high tailing it to 4 corners of the globe will satisfy most of the criminals from the Bush administration (my guess). Remember many of the actions in SA had US backing, including Pinochet. So you're right, anything can happen.
But like I said. I think the bastards are happy with taking the money and running. But I cd be wrong.

The Palin hate rally in Pensacola FL was last thursday ... so I can only guess these "upstanding citizens" attended the hate fest because there weren't any signs or stickers around until now.
I just got a call from the Obama Headquarters....they are opening a NEW FIELD OFFICE in Pace Florida!!! It's right on Rt. 90 near the bowling alley which should REALLY help since it'll be very visible! The Dem office in Milton is way off the beaten path so hardly anyone knows it's there.

Your most powerful "weapon" right now other than your voices protesting current Republican rhetoric is making sure that you get out to vote & that your vote is counted! You have serious, serious global issues to contend with. The U.S. is so indebted to China right now. You're going to need sensible & intelligent leadership big on detente to avert those loans being called in. The Chinese do not respond well to strong-arming & bully tactics. Mr. McCain,
I do believe that you are a true national hero. Who else would put their country first by dismantling the worst political party in U.S. history by choosing Sarah Palin as your V.P. then running the most bears-on-tricycles campaign I've ever seen. In so doing this, you have exposed the Republicans by picking the biggest ugliest caricature of their vile, ignorant ways; running it up the electoral flagpole; and forcing them to salute it.
You have done so, sir, at the expense of your own reputation and legacy. This nation thanks you for falling on your sword for us.
Now, Mr. McCain, we need you to close the deal. Do something to officially spit in the face of the armies of stupidity that you have so rightly mocked by choosing Palin. Then back your car up and run them over again.
We need you to make a video of yourself snorting coke off of a teenaged boy's ass while screaming sacrilegious obscenities, flipping off the camera, and telling small towners to go fuck themselves.
You've come this far, sir. Please, for the good of our nation, do something to make sure the vile forces of stupidity stay away from the voting booths in November. You've alienated just about every other corner of the Republican base and this last one is the easiest to offend.
You've made bankers and writers at the National Review enemies of the Republican party. Bravo! Who else but a hero could have accomplished that? So, we call on you to really put country first and slap the faces of the booing, hissing mob of "good Christian" assholes once and for all. I gave you an example, above, of how to do this. Hell, use your own imagination, as it's far superior to mine. Never in a million years would I have thought to choose the ghost of Katherine Harris as V.P.
Come on, sir. You've come this far. Just do this and after the election you can save face by telling the world you did it all on purpose to destroy the Republicans, because they were destroying the country you hold so dear. Be a real hero!

I borrowed this from another blog. It really makes you think:
What if John McCain were a former president of the Harvard Law Review? What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class?
What if McCain were still married to the first woman he said “I do” to?
What if Obama were the candidate who left his first wife after she no longer measured up to his standards?
What if Michelle Obama were a wife who not only became addicted to pain killers, but acquired them illegally through her charitable organization?
What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard?
What if Obama were a member of the Keating-5*?
What if McCain were a charismatic, eloquent speaker?
If these questions reflected reality, do you really believe the election numbers would be as close as they are?
This is what racism does. It covers up, rationalizes and minimizes positive qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative qualities in another when there is a color difference.
PS: What if Barack Obama had an unwed, pregnant teenage daughter…. ******* You are The Boss… which team would you hire?
With America facing historic debt, 2 wars, stumbling health care, a weakened dollar, all-time high prison population, mortgage crises, bank foreclosures, etc.

THE REPUBLICAN IMMORALITY IS NOTHING NEW
The " SELECTIONS " of 2000 and 2004 proved conclusively that the Republicans will stoop as low as necessary to steal an election. McCain / Palin are simply continuing in the GOP tradition. What's a little violence to these thugs?
They actually foster the environment that nurtures the hatred. Like yelling "Fire" in a crowded theater, they know their words are goign to stir up the nutcases in their midst and they don't care.
My one consolation at one time was that if Obama were to lose it might save his life.
What a sad reflection on the violence incited by the GOP
As Andrew Sullivan said today...For God's sake John McCain stop it....
Now that's frickin' funny.
You betcha!
It's employing vile, toxic, dangerous language for fundraising.
Reasonable Americans turn away in disgust.

more of the same.
mcshame.
If you take a look at their associations -- both past and present -- it's clear that this is precisely WHERE they have always been... the difference is they are no longer hiding it.
What is the matter with the prosecutors. This sort of incitement to violence is against the law. You can't yell fire in a crowded theater and expect not to be prosecuted. Oh, I forget, all the respectable prosecutors with any integrity were fired by Bush.
I have to believe that the Obama SS must have contacted the McCain SS about this. Unless they don't really care.
I'm just amazed..
And the "Good Citizens" of this country better be ready to do the hard things to get this country off the path the Republicans have it on or you can kiss the "American Dream" good bye.
what can you cite to suggest that the Republicans were formed to keep blacks out of politics?
if my memory serves me, the republican Party came into existence during slavery, and opposed it.
i also recall in the 1960s, the republicans were the ones that voted for Civil Rights, while Dems often opposed it.
of course, that party was killed off by Reagan, Bush, McCain, and friends.

Kerry, like Obama, has set up a website to debunk smears in real time. And he directs supporters to the link: http://www.truthfightsback.com/page/content/sme...
Look at the Polls - We are at war in two countries and we are facing a economic collapse and YET this country looks likes its about to choose HOPE over FEAR despite all the danger we wil need to pass through. It fills me with Hope and it should with you.
It could easily have gone the other way but this country eventually turns to its better angels - we are no Germany in the 30's.

Fascist rat bastards = GOP <-- The truth, if you can handle it.

You gotta love it. Poor bastards, they know its over, and it'll be 20+ years before they ever get their hands on power again. No worries about Obama - the likes of Cheney et al. would have to call for his head.
Let the indictments begin!! War Crimes, fraud, theft, conspiracy, you name it. This time next year Bush, Cheney, et al. should be behind bars.
America has 2 choices. Redeem the past, and right the wrongs or take a back seat and hold on - it'll be a rough ride to the depths of hell (which is where we'll be going if we let these rePiglican rat bastards get away with the crimes they have comitted).

New Office will open up at 9am so if anyone is in the area...please COME ON OUT !
I plan to be there.

Sarah Silverman has a message for ya!
If McCain and Palin are allowed to continue, every right-wing nutcase in the hills stockpiling guns is going to see this election as their call to action. It is insane.
It is insane how you can transform "hockey moms" into terrorists with just a little mixture of "faith" and racism.
I hope the masses realize that the majority of non-blacks out there also will not stand for this kind of racism. It is truly sickening.

Sarah Palin, "Hold me accountable!"
Okay!
I sort of feel that's what these idiots are doing. They're so pissed at their own party for losng the last 8 years, they're going to tear down anyone trying to help them out of this cesspool -- like a flailing drowning victim who's taking down the lifeguard.
