But, but, he is different. Just don't ask me how. lol
  • samiinh · 1 year ago
Well, as far as we know, Bush hasn't committed adultery.
  • Lolis · 1 year ago
Everybody in Texas says he has. There are even rumors of a love child in Corpus Christi.
  • samiinh · 1 year ago
Maybe that's why the rumors are that Laura will be seeking a divorce in late Jan.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
and who was it who said: "...i agree with George Bush on the transcendent issues...the big issues...of our time"

    you guessed it.

My bro in law, a bigwig in NH GOP, says that there are TONS of GOPers who are SO PISSED about Caribou Barbie that they intend to vote Obama. They really had a lotta hope that McSame would pull this off until his dick made the choice of Missy Paliin. Then they hoped she might turn out to be fairly good...wrong...she's a joke. He predicts major bloodshed all around and told me he is retiring from his job now in the GOP.
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
Palin is a world wide joke. On CNN, Zakaria had someone from France talk about Palin, and he threw his hands up and said she thinks god wants a gas pipeline in Alaska. She is a joke.

I think there are probably a lot of Repubs out there that are going to do the same thing... and I think there will be a huge fracturing of the party... maybe to the point that there won't be a "Republican" party ... The whackadoodles have really trashed that "brand"... so I expect that they will roll out a new party in September... because everyone knows you don't release new products before August....
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
    thank you karl rove¡!!!!!!!!!
  • AdrianBrowne · 1 year ago
Three Republicans I know say: "I'm just not voting this year. Don't wanna talk about it."
  • samiinh · 1 year ago
I live in NH and the Republican candidates are taking a huge hit up here. This state is turning BLUE.

Some of my bro in law's private conversations are pretty nasty apparently.
He normally does not tell me too much about what they are up to but this
year he is so livid, he is telling me all sorts of shit that is VERY
negative. They really wanted Mitt apparently. Mitt probably could have
pulled this off. BUT, and he is a totally secular person, he said that this
"fucking Nixon Southern Strategy" has really killed the GOP over time...he
said he was pissed when Reagan sucked up to Falwell back in 80...my bro in
law is very sharp...old school GOP...keep the government outta my checkbook
AND outta my bedroom...he is very pro gay rights, even gay marriage.
Libertarian in many ways. Anyway...when the religious right began gaining a
foothold, many Northeastern GOP regulars began first giggling at them and
then seeing how they could help win elections...all the while snickering
about the abortion issue, etc. Over and over the GOP party leadership has
been warning about this day when a VP or Pres candidate would go too far
with the "base"...which bro in law says was NEVER a solid base
anyway...media hyped it because they too thought it made good sound bytes
and they too were giggling at the white trash ignorants who were voting in
droves for the very people who were fucking them over at the gas pump,
    health care, etc.
His attitude this week is...good, let this fuckin party die a hideous death
for a generation or two. They earned it.

    Unbelievable and SO satisfying.

the rise of the republican right, imo, was an unholy union of scrooges and stooges. w/o the stooges (born-agains and racists/bigots) the scrooges are out of power. mcsame had to pick a born-again, didn't he? the 'southern strategy' is what brought them into power in 1980, post-civil rights - no? can they actually win w/o 'the base'? the last time they had power was the 1920s - have to admit I don't know what got them in power back then, but I know what took them out - economics.

    How cool.

Obama spelled backwards in Latin means "love". amabo = love.
How does the Vatican like them apples?
  • FatRat · 1 year ago
    Bush is known by W.
McCain should be known by M.

Flip over the letter and there aren't any major difference.
(Except one major one, one was a pilot who avoided going to Vietnam.)

All right, everyone, a small contest: How many things are wrong with this statement (besides the syntax)?

    Sarah Palin (nee Succubus):

“Now they do this in other countries where the people are not free -- government as part of the family, taking care of us, making decisions for us,” she said during a rally in Sioux City, Iowa. “I don’t know what to think of having in my family Uncle Barney Frank or others to make decisions for me.”

    Uncle Barney Frank? You wish.

Its obvious, from the article, her smackdown is what he is referring to when he laments the "angry progressives liberals." Republicans, like him, are so used to being able to spew their angry rhetoric without any challenges that when they are challenged in a humorous civil way like Maddow did they consider it "angry" and out of bounds. Frum better get used to it.
  • lucky hussein · 1 year ago
    exactly. well-said.

When will "Sarah the desperate politician" and "John the even more desperate politician" STOP with the whole "Joe the Plumber" schtick?
  • ckerst · 1 year ago
They all jumped in bed with Bush, even Hillary, Obama didn't and will be the next president. If Bush had been able to cover up the financial disaster for two more months we would be looking at 8 more years of incompetence.

OT: Watch this whacky interview with Barbara West from WFTV in Orlando recently. Biden rips into her, and she deserves it. Her questions are leading and stunningly ignorant.

    Watch first: http://thepoliticalcarnival.blogspot.com/2008/1...

Then Email Mrs. West and tell her what you think of her journalism:
