  • FunMe · 1 year ago
    I miss President Gore, too!
  • johnkerry · 1 year ago
    Wow!! Who the f cares???

Obama Carter sickens me!! He thinks that, just because he did not vote to send our soldiers to Iraq (and just about everyone else did!) this makes him a viable candidate! What a f'ing joke. And he thinks because he took some course in college about international relations that he has qualifications to be our PresidenT! No f'in way!

The guy is an utter moron who can actually read teleprompters but when not having material written for him IN FRONT OF HIM he stutters like a child. Ever heard him speak "off the cuff"?? It's f'in embarrassing!!

But his main problem that makes him a total loser is his judgment and all you libs know what I'm talking about! Wright, Rezko, etc etc. Do you REALLY want this incompetent dolt to run our country?
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
It really bothers you that a black man is smarter and more successful and every way better than you, doesn' it?
  • johnkerry · 1 year ago
Looks like another lib racist doing what you all do best - inserting
race into an issue!! Well done lib!
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
The people who think it is a good idea to address polution, climate change and jobs in America care.
There will be the ongoing Afgan operation so you can still get your war on with Mr. Obama.

The incompetent dolt McCain is incapable of the job.

Most would like to see Gore in a Cabinet position, but think he said no last winter.

Not sure he could be coaxed back to DC, but ?
  • johnkerry · 1 year ago
Climate change has been going on MILLIONS and MILLIONS of years before
    man existed!!! Next subject!

You must be kidding about Gore??? No intelligent person today would
want this bloated ignoramous in any cabinet position. He should stay in
    his own kitchen cabinet!
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
Oh, that must be why Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize.

Give it up, dude, I know Gore makes you hot.
  • johnkerry · 1 year ago
HA HA! Now that's funny! Gore winning the "peace" prize!! I won't
even waste my words on this ridiculous comment. Even a wacked out lib
like you can see figure it out!

    Phew!
  • FunMe · 1 year ago
In these recessionary times, how much are you getting paid as a TROLL?

You're funny btw ... funny looking!
  • johnkerry · 1 year ago
I do it FREE with pleasure!!

    Thanks lib troll!!
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
    Wow, a free troll job!
  • johnkerry · 1 year ago
WOW! A free cut and run racist Marxist lib job!!
  • profmarcus · 1 year ago
    Too little, too late.

Where the hell was he months ago, when it would have made a difference?

Hedging his bets and covering his ass!

I used to have respect for the man, but not anymore.

Him sitting on his kiester, while the Clintons were doing everything in their power to destroy the Democratic Party, showed his true colors.

    OT:

Will the Gomer Pyle of the Navy finally be exposed?

"At a meeting in his Pentagon office in early 1981, Secretary of the Navy John F. Lehman told Capt. John S. McCain III that he was about to attain his life ambition: becoming an admiral.... Mr. McCain declined the prospect of his first admiral's star to make a run for Congress, saying that he could 'do more good there,' Mr. Lehman recalled." So claimed the New York Times in a front-page article on May 29 this year.

This story is highly improbable for several reasons, not least of all because John McCain himself has always told a very different story about his stalled naval career.

The article goes on to talk about McCain's record of screw ups and low scores in the Navy, as well as his refusal to release his service records, as John Kerry did.

Gore won the popular vote in the 2000 race, but lost the presidency after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Bush in the disputed Florida election. Gore said, "Take it from me, elections matter."

He's right about that, they did take it from him... may they rot in hell.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
The Navy may claim that it already released McCain's record to the Associated Press on May 7, 2008 in response to the AP's Freedom of Information Act request. But the McCain file the Navy released contained 19 pages -- a two-page overview and 17 pages detailing Awards and Decorations. Each of these 17 pages is stamped with a number. These numbers range from 0069 to 0636. When arranged in ascending order, they precisely track the chronology of McCain's career. It seems reasonable to ask the Navy whether there are at least 636 pages in McCain's file, of which 617 weren't released to the Associated Press.

Some of the unreleased pages in McCain's Navy file may not reflect well upon his qualifications for the presidency. From day one in the Navy, McCain screwed-up again and again, only to be forgiven because his father and grandfather were four-star admirals. McCain's sense of entitlement to privileged treatment bears an eerie resemblance to George W. Bush's.

That was an interesting article. As a former AF pilot I'm on the fence about whether McCain should release his entire Naval file. Kerry needed to because of all the bullcrap the swifties were pedaling. McCain's Vietnam service is basically admirable. I suspect there are some unflattering things concerning his pre-Vietnam days. It may very well be that he was never going to be selected for Admiral. All the long time POWs who were tortured were basically promised the rank of 0-6 (AF full Colonel, Navy Captain) if they cooperated with personnel. Nothing higher.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
No offense, but he sounded like a bit of a screwup to me.

Crashed three or four planes? Apparently had some disciplinary problems too.

Sounds like the only time he wasn't screwing up was when he was a POW.
  • Catsandbeer.com · 1 year ago
that's great, I guess but, uh, what does it mean? I guess the only thing is that it will stop the conspiracy theorists from positing that Gore would try to take the nomination?

Anyway, good to have Al on board but, who else was he going to endorse??
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Guess he got burned so bad when he endorsed Dean that he got gun shy.

Looks like it was a good speech:

On January 20th, 1961, as a 12-year-old boy, I stood in the snow on -- in front of the Capitol as John Fitzgerald Kennedy took the oath of office. I know what his inspiration meant to my generation and I feel that same spirit in this auditorium here tonight, building all over this country this year. I feel your determination after two terms of the Bush-Cheney administration to change the direction of our country. In looking back over the last eight years, I can tell you that we have already learned one important fact since the year 2000. Take it from me, elections matter.

If you think the next appointments to our Supreme Court are important, you know that elections matter. If you live in the city of New Orleans, you know that elections matter. If you or a member of your family are serving in the active military, the National Guard or reserve, you know that elections matter. If you're a wounded veteran, you know that elections matter. If you lost your job, if you're struggling with your mortgage, you know that elections matter. If you care about a clean environment, if you want a government that protects you instead of special interests, you know that elections matter. If you care about food safety, if you like a “T” on your B.L.T., you know that elections matter. If you bought poisoned, lead-filled toys from China or adulterated medicine made in China, if you bought tainted pet food made in China, you know that elections matter. After the last eight years, even our dogs and cats have learned that elections matter.

And this election matters more than ever because America needs change more than ever. After eight years of lost jobs and lower wages, we need change. After eight years of incompetence, neglect and failure, we need change. After eight years in which our Constitution has been dishonored and disrespected, we need change. After eight years of the worst, most serious foreign policy mistakes in the entire history of our nation, we need change.

Yeah I don't know about his health record from the past 8 years being way longer than his navy record.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Well, if Gore wants to really help, he can start by going after his former Veep candidate.

He created that Frankenstein, he should have to tear him apart.
  • Indigo · 1 year ago
    Gore?
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Funny how Gore was such a superstar last year this time, and now it's like "Oh yeah, that guy."
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Gore's speech reminded me of what a great politician he is, but that doesn't necessarily make him capable of great judgments. What took him so long to endorse Obama? He certainly distanced himself from the Clintons when he ran in 2000, so what was the problem?
  • mauro7inf · 1 year ago
Since nobody else mentioned, I thought I should -- didn't anyone else cover this story? I wish you didn't link to AP, with their really, really, really bad citation policy and their war against the blogs. They're threatening to sue people over short quotes from their articles now, as I'm sure you've heard. Atrios has more, if you want to look there. It's actually kinda frightening, so I'm with him when I say that I think no blog anywhere should link to AP stories anymore until they change this, though obviously, it's your call.
