    This surprises anyone?

that's not change we can believe in, my friends...

ABC's new poll on Palin looks like relatively good news for us.

Looks like she energized the base (though, I would add, that RNC fundraising numbers have to put into question how much she energized the base) but she did little else.

    http://abcnews.go.com/PollingUnit/Story?id=5725...

Now let's get back on the offense and win this thing!
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
DailyKos posted on the ABC Poll too.

The majority of Americans reject the policies of the right-wing base.

You'd think the GOPers would finally figure this out.
Keep Palin! If they ditch her, maybe Rush could run for GOPer VP.

    Would she out an agent?

When's she due to give an interview?

Speaking of DUE, when is Bristol's due date?

The reason i ask, is because it looks as if Bristol is getting thinner. If Bristol is the mother of Trig (and has yet to burn off that baby fat), then Karl Rove is going to pretend that the press caused her to miscarry.

How can the press be mean to someone they've never talked to? Sarah? Sarah?
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
I think we should throw a baby shower for Bristol and her teen father. Can you imagine being forced to marry someone??? What is, the middle ages?
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
Maybe Sarah's anti-law enforcement attitude has allowed Wassila to become Alaska's methamphetamine capitol???

OT-Interesting thing about last night's repeat green and blue screen gaffe...And perhaps understanding gifts only those who inabit these crowded internet tubes...I've not heard one eensey mention of this on the toob? What gives? Aren't these the folks who came of age near the weatherman's chroma-key screen???
Too strange...Is it a safe bet Colbert tonight will be all over it , issuing a new Colbert Green Screen Challenge???
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
The green background was brought up no CNN early this morning.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
    C...what??? Never heard of it.

A onetime pop of green screen would not have been a gaffe...But, the entire speech was backgrounded with green and blue. While a less luminous blue is a standard TV backdrop, green is anathema in studios because the color reflects unflatteringly on human skin.
Aside from Colbert's antics, the green backdrop to the entire first half of the speech allowed the subconscious discomfort associated with this bilious shade to further erode the effect of Johnny's halting speech.

RNC uses pretend soldiers to mock a pretend funeral:

I'm sure Keith will mention it.

    Forget the Bridge to Nowhere...

SARAH WANTED $375 MILLION FOR A ROAD TO NOWHERE!!!

Now, how was she going to pay for THAT, Senator Stevens?

Me thinks Palin is going to be the gift that keeps on giving.......
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
You are spot on my friend.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
Sarah is the road to nowhere...
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
and she gave the speech to nowhere.
  • bunnyjump · 1 year ago
    OT but an idea...
For all the supposed (and fabricated) infatuation with the female VP by women...

Obama has a secret weapon....Oprah...if there's one person who could convince her followers to vote Obama it's her.

While the McCain has it's media blackout...every Dem pundit should flock to the Oprah show to expose the rethugs lies. And btw, I'd love to see Maddow and Olbermann there....often.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
You are correct. My guess is Oprah will do another push for Obama in the next two months.

How can you change politics-as-usual in Washington when you commit politics-as-usual in your own home state?

Good POINT> give that one to the Obama website....

What's the world record for not giving an interview after an incredible speech?

    Where's Sarah?
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
Getting some bunker design ideas from Cheney...You know, a couple of throw pillows and a waterboard.
  • bunnyjump · 1 year ago
She's "cramming" for the VP debates....this could be interesting since she had to attend 5 (or was it 6) colleges.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
If THAT doesn't say looney tune I don know what would...

Getting fitted for her ankle bracelet.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
Well, she did decide to investigate herself. I'm sure she feels she's up to something.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
If she gets more than 10 feet from a handler Cheney's heart monitor starts buzzin and shockin...

RNC convention got more coverage than the DNC Convention:

Looks like McCain is just a bitchy old man.
  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
Where the hell is Sarah? She flew Bristol's Baby Daddy in from Alaska long before she could find a camera?

Surely FOX could pretend they don't know what questions we want them to ask!
  • Redphilly · 1 year ago
First of all, Sarah in the Bible had a son named Isaac or Ike. Any meaning? We shall see. Moving on, I, as an American who might be forced to have Palin as a heartbeat away from being my president, want the people involved in Troopergate to come on Good Morning America. They have everyone else on that show. It appears that Palin is bringing more problems to a White House that has an abundance of them already. She seems to be more trouble than she is worth. We need more problems and troubles like we need a hole in the head. She just is not vice-president material. Just because she is the female version of a bully doesn't mean she would make a good vice-president. While the Obama/Biden ticket is relatively pristine, the McCain/Palin ticket is polluted and fraught with controversy that is building by the hour. Her brother-in-law was on CNN today and looked like he was scared to death. Has his life been threatened if he says the wrong things against Palin? I smell much hot treachery in cold Alaska, and Palin has her hockey mom mits all over it!

Threats over the Meth supply makes a good swinging club, I betcha'.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
I thought her eyes looked funny.....she looked cracked out.

  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
    Anyone have Bristol's due date?

After all, it ain't like sarah ever tried to hide the pregnancy.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
    My predictions:

This week will yeild much dirt on Ms. Palin as the investigators dipsatched to Alaska uncover things. (Affair, fireing scandal, and who knows what else)

By Friday of next week there will be talk of letting her go as she is just too much of a liability for McSame.

Hang on, it will be an interesting week.

Our beloved Governor Crist is not off the VP possible list yet. Keep your fingers crossed! He'll be swell!
