    She refuses to give an answer about her views on abortion as well.
    For anyone who hasn't figured it out yet.....if they refuse to say yes I support it, it means they are against it.

    I would respectfully disagree -- I wouldn't take away from the hearings that Sotomayor is against either abortion or same-sex marriage. Indeed, despite claims of no litmus test, I can't imagine Obama would appoint someone who was actively anti-abortion, secretly or otherwise.

    All I would take away from her reticence on the issues is that Sotomayor has been coached (like all post-Bork nominees) to dodge any questions relating to her personal views on hot-button issues. That's a shame, but it's hardly limited to her.
