AMERICAblog: Greenspan endorses McCain

  • jimfromthefoothills · 1 year ago
Time to take aim on the ridiculous looking Andrea Mitchell. She is 90 years old but dies her hair like a 20 year old. She, as Greenspan's loyal Likud wife goes on NBC to offer "independent" commentary.

Greenspan is a liar who is only looking out for Israel and his Neo-con/liberal friends.

Interesting but Clinton has said she will include Greenspan in HER government. She really thinks it is HER government.
  • Mikki --SE Pennsylvania · 1 year ago
Hey Jim, don't you realize Alan spend a mint on facelifts for Andrea trying to recycle her into a trophy wife and she didn't bring in a fortune. Insane McCain most likely is letting Cindy pay for her own retreads from interest while he's pissing away the principal trying to hide the truth of his unsavory illegal and immoral past actions. And that isn't even touching on his medical and psychiatric records. He's a real nutter, not just a liar like his pals racist Hil and whoremonger Bill.
  • Indigo · 1 year ago
Can you imagine the consequences if Greenspan had endorsed Obama? We should be grateful that Alan went with the most likely looser.

    For Hillary, everything is HERS.
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
    One old coot endorsing another.
The fact that McCain is not very good at economics, and has said so,
means that Greenspan has endorsed him because of party loyalty, and
nothing else. I guess Greenspan does not care if McCain will be a good
leader and get this country out of a mess, he might have created.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Excellent! Another Evil Elitist who wants yet another clueless incompetent in the WH. It makes sense they would want that...after all, McCain has professed his ignorance about the economy. Doesn't it make sense the Evil Elitists would want a govt that doesn't know what it's doing, like the present one? That way, their grip continues, and the Evil Elitists can continue to really run things, eh?

I'm just thankful Greenspan himself is clueless about what real people want and didn't endorse Obama. And yes, Andrea Mitchell is SO yesterday--MSNBC should follow trends and fire her since no one really listens anyway.

    Volcker endorsed Obama.

And he's the last competent Fed Chairman we've had.

    OT:

Does Hillary ever tell the truth?

In Eugene, Ore., Saturday. Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., attempted to change the measure by which anyone might assess who criticized the Iraq war first, her or Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., by saying those keeping records should start in January 2005, when Obama joined the Senate. (A measure that conveniently avoids her October 2002 vote to authorize use of force against Iraq at a time that Obama was speaking out against the war.) She claimed that using that measure, she criticized the war in Iraq before Obama did.

    But Clinton's claim was false.

Clinton and Obama Fight for N.D. Votes -- Again
Clinton Asks Obama's Pledged Delegates to Switch
    April 5, 2008

Sen. Hillary Clinton made a blunt appeal to North Dakota delegates to switch their support to her, despite the fact that Sen. Barack Obama handily defeated her in the state's caucus in February.

    (AP Photo)

In an indication of how tense the battle has become for each Democratic delegate, Obama abandoned the campaign trail in Pennsylvania and scooted to North Dakota for the state party's annual dinner last night, despite the fact that he's already won 14 of the state's 21 delegates as well as six of the state's seven superdelegates.

The two candidates also will battle for votes tonight in Butte, Mont., when Democrats there hold their annual dinner. The Montana primary, which offers only a handful of delegates, is scheduled for June.

Clinton made it clear to North Dakota Democrats last night that she believes there is no such thing as a pledged delegate and highlighted that stubborn streak in her appeal for delegates to switch from Obama to her when the Democratic national party holds its nominating convention this August.

Is Clinton Honest? 53 Percent of Americans do NOT think so.

As a woman, I do not want someone so dishonest, vicious, and plays dirty,
to be the first one in the WH. Hillary is an embarrassment to all women.

    Peace and Bitterness
By Mark Hosenball, John Barry and Daniel Stone | NEWSWEEK
    Apr 14, 2008 Issue

The Clintons are resisting the disclosure of a document that could help clarify the New York senator's claims that she was "instrumental" in Northern Ireland peacemaking. The document's unlikely author: Chelsea Clinton. As a Stanford University senior in 2001, the former First Daughter wrote a 150-page thesis on the subject. Her faculty adviser, Prof. Jack Rakove, has said that Chelsea spoke with her father "at some length" about the negotiations. But the Clinton camp has declined to make it public. Through Clinton aides, Chelsea has directed reporters to ask Stanford for the document. But Stanford says it doesn't have a copy in its library, and Rakove, who does have one, says that only Chelsea can give the green light. The thesis, says Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines, "was written to satisfy an academic requirement—not media curiosity."

Regardless of what Chelsea's thesis may reveal about her mother's role in the accord, some British officials remain sore at her father for one of his earliest decisions in the negotiating process. In 1994, Bill Clinton granted a U.S. visa to nationalist leader Gerry Adams at a time when the Provisional IRA, the clandestine affiliate of Adams's Sinn Fein movement, was still conducting a terrorist campaign. A source close to Britain's former prime minister Sir John Major, who asked for anonymity when discussing a sensitive matter, says Major believes that Clinton's decision "set back the peace process," though Clinton was helpful later on. Indeed, two years later, U.S. officials were red-faced when the IRA broke a truce and set off a massive bomb near London's Canary Wharf. Nancy Soderberg, a senior adviser on Ireland to Bill Clinton, said the State and Justice Departments and FBI all urged Clinton not to grant the visa because it would look like the U.S. was rewarding terrorism. But Soderberg, who initially opposed the visa, later concluded that it would hasten IRA involvement in the peace process—a judgment that she says history has vindicated.

As soon as the newly re-written thesis is finished they will release the new-improved, Hillary saved the day version.

    Just wait...You'll see.
  • Hillary (D-efacteOnDems) · 1 year ago
Hillary will go on and on, fighting through the tears, to tell us all how traumatic having to bring Chelsea's Thesis into the public eye is for her.
She never wanted to use her daughter to prove rhat she saved the dasy in Ireland, you see.
But...Chelsea has insisted she do so therefore I have relented to her wishes..She is so (sniff) strong.

You forgot Greenspan's role in the S&L debacle plus his tenure as Fed Chairman saw the 1987 and 1989 stock market crashes.

Didn't Greenspan also endorse Herbert Hoover and his economic perspective?

I am still asking. When will McCain release his and his wife's tax returns?

Plus, when will McCain release his health records?

    What is he hiding?

    Corruption? Cancer?
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
The only thing the Manwhore McCrazy knows about the "economy" is to ditch a disabled wife and marry a filthy rich woman...
  • Angry · 1 year ago
John McCain is facing a major health care crisis. Not so much his own, though unanswered questions abound about the Republican presidential nominee's bouts with skin cancer. No, as the Boston Globe details, it is the feeble McCain health care plan itself which is terminally flawed.

    For the details, see:
    "John McCain's Health Care Crisis."

Let's not rag on marrying rich chicks. --Tomm

we get to rag on the GOPers who ditch their first old injured poor wives because of those good ol' traditional family values they like to tout. If they want a constitutional amendment stating that Marriage is One Man, One Woman, FOREVER, then they better by gawd start with themselves.

he pumped up interest rates to cause a mild recession in the months leading up to the 2000 election, and he brought the interest rate down and pumped up the economy before the 2004 election. He is a Republican political hack. And he encouraged these subprime loans to support Bush. These Republicans don't really seem to care about the damage they are doing, as long as they get elected.
