BO may be making silver-tongued overtures, just to attract her female supporters, but there's no way Michelle would accept it, not after HRC dissed her husband and her people.

    How?

Well, avoid it by putting pressure on McCain to choose first.

if the Dems chooses first, then McCain/Rove get to see how they want to split the electorate to cobble together a winning set of issues/demographics (assuming, of course, that they have a prayer in November).

If McCain chooses first, that can always be a reason to avoid Hillary. Personally, I don't think she wants the VP slot, anyway. I'm not sure she'd get too much bang out of being the first female VP. It's possible, but ...

excellent point - make McCain choose first
  • michaelt · 1 year ago
not only no but hell no. the question is why? what is she bringing to the table? votes? there's not that many. and if we want to nominate a republican as vp, that's fine, but can we at least get one that isn't afraid to call themselves one?

p.s. if Richardson were a little more polished a public speaker, he'd be my first choice, I think.

Off the top of my head, I'd love to see a Latino/Latina on the ballot who might put Florida in play, maybe Texas, even, and tie McCain down trying to shore up the Southwest, while Obama tackles the mid-west...

Hispanics may put Florida in play for Dems

ooooh that would make David Duke's head explode.
  • dad · 1 year ago
    its a tough one.

she will require attention either way.
  • obsessed · 1 year ago
    nooooooooooo!

I think Hill & Barry need to "get a room", as they say, but no way on earth should they be on the same ticket ... especially with Hillary as VP ... it would be a trainwreck of epic proportions. Every time Hill or Bill opened their mouths we'd be cringing in fear about what might come out next. That "hard-working white people" gaffe yesterday is a case in point.

Senate majority leader, or supreme court justice, but VP is absolutely, categorically, unequivocally out of the question.

How do you sleep at night knowing that Hillary is your Vice President?

Remember, Reagan, Bush and the Hinckley connection?
  • Coming Undone · 1 year ago
Hillary as VP would grab more Presidential power than Cheney tried to do.

Hillary and Bills baggage would become Obamas worst nightmare
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
once upon a time i thought Obama/Hillary was the dream ticket.

    now, no.
Hillary has morphed into a GOPer.
Bill would be a constant problem for President Obama.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
yeah, I'm going to go with "No." if Hillary acts a fool Michelle Obama will go all sistah on her and kick her a$$.
  • WindmillChasr · 1 year ago
Yeah right. The whole point of Obama is the he ISN'T a Clinton. Her negatives(Republican Hate and Mobilization) transfer to him if she is the VP candidate. NO NO NO.
  • Jim Olson · 1 year ago
Um, no. Make her Secretary of Health and Human Services
  • OneManComotion · 1 year ago
You don't add her even in a thought. Has everybody forgotton about the other true statesmen senator that also opposed the war and fights for the return of the Constitution? Sen. Russ Feingold!!!!!!!
    Obama/Feingold 08'
  • gonzalez · 1 year ago
Feingold would be great for the VP spot. However, I think we need someone from a different region. Two midwesterners may not work. Unfortunately, we may need some one from a southern state as much as I hate to see it. I hate the south!

    Kathleen Sebelius would be nice
  • tommytoonz · 1 year ago
I still think Congressman Joe Sestak would be a better VP choice than Webb or Clark if Obama wants to go the military route with his choice. Sestak can bring in a lot of the Clinton supporters and would secure PA. Like Webb he has military experience, Vice Admiral of the Navy. He's a bit younger and better looking than Webb for whatever that's worth and we can afford to lose a seat in the House, I'd like Webb to stay in the Senate. I like Clark, but the right HATES him and he'd bring too many negatives from his 2004 campaign.
  • gonzalez · 1 year ago
No way! Clinton should not be in the ticket. Obama will make Mcsame look like an idiot in the campaign. Just wait and see when the people start really listening to what McSame is saying. It is amazing how the media caters to this guy.
  • elperropatron · 1 year ago
    In a word... NO

I think it is more likely that she will jump ship to Lieberman's party-of-one and try to become McLame's Veep.
  • nicho · 1 year ago
Put Hill and Bill back into power?

Obama will gave enough to do without wondering what plots the Mayberry Machiavellis are hatching behind the outhouse.
  • Keith_in_Southwest_France · 1 year ago
Hillary should run as McStain's VP candidate.
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
Make Hillary ambassador to Fiji or something. Some place far away. Definitely not VP.
