It is Time to Shut Down Hillary Clinton
With Democratic race getting nastier by the day and Republican nominee wandering the world looking Presidential, it is time that Democrats brought an end to the nomination race.

Hillary Clinton is stretching her experience claims each day. She and her camp are trying to dig up dirt on the front runner so much so that it could damage the Democrats in fall. Hillary's trip to Bosnia under hail of fire has been discussed much in the media. Last night on Larry King Live, the renown journalist Maureen Dowd who accompanied Hillary put paid to Hillary's peace claims in Ireland. She said that apart from having tea with old ladies, Hillary had no contribution towards the Irish peace on that trip.

There is no mathematical possibility of Hillary Clinton winning the nomination. She is likely to win Pennsylvania, but she is 21 points behind Obama in North Carolina according to latest opinion polls.

It is time that a large number of Democratic Senators, Congressmen/women and party officials step forward and endorse Barack Obama in order to shut down Hillary Clinton before she does more damage to the party. Perhaps this is what Harry Reid was talking about yesterday.

Hillary needs to go on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew for her addiction to lying
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
I just saw a Clintonite, James Rubin, on Andra Mitchell's new show, and he was really steamed! He accused the Obama camp of attacking Hillary (victim card, again), and that the Obama camp is making this big fuss over her Bosnia issue etc. He almost exploded, when he accused the media of being blind to Obama's so called attacks. You should have seen him. He accused the Obama camp of being desperate (I never realized that the front runner could be desperate), but watching him, he looked frustrated and desperate.
The Clintons and their servants really look like they live in the twilight zone.
They have openly stated they were throwing the kitchen sink at Obama, and Hillary brazenly stated that the attack part of campaigning was "fun", and yet they play the victim, and accuse Obama of attacking them. Unbelievable.

Jesus Christ, people, do you realize how badly you are poisoning the well here? At the risk of getting flamed I just want to tell everyone to calm down. I don't have a particular dog in this hunt (I will vote for whomever gets the nomination), so I say that this is getting ridiculous. John, do you remember how furious you were when Obama had that homophobic gospel singer, or whatever he was, on the campaign trail? I just read over on Talking Points Memo about all the Clinton/Obama people who say they will vote for McCain in the fall if Obama/Clinton doesn't get the nomination. Talk about shooting oneself in the foot! Christ, this stuff is getting beyond the pale. Do we all want to see McCain as president this fall? How about concentrating on how McCain is so deeply in bed with the press that he is getting a completely free ride?! And how completely in bed he is with GWB on the war? And how f***ing stupid he is? This blog is getting to be unreadable now that everyone has gotten the Hillary hate on. Sheesh. (And I would be saying the same thing if it had gotten virulently anti-Obama, too.) I'm starting to just skip anything about Hillary on here and may just start to skip the blog altogether. Mind you, I wrote a letter to my local paper about the Obama bashing muslim patriotism BS email that was going around a few months ago, so I say again I WILL VOTE FOR THE DEMOCRAT WHOEVER HE OR SHE MAY BE THIS FALL. Can you all say the same?
  • Webster · 1 year ago
    I second the motion, Evilmumrah.
  • KISSman · 1 year ago
No. I will never vote for Hillary. I didn't always feel that way, but I cannot stand the campaign that she has run. I currently dislike her as much as I do Dubya.

Saying that, I am not one of the twits who would pout my lip and run to McCain. That's utterly moronic.

If it were Hillary vs. McCain, I'd have no dog in the race and no dog to vote for. I won't have time to vote as I will be too busy packing as it will seem like a good time to move to Canada.

But any Democrat who would run to McCain because their candidate doesn't get the Democratic nomination and would vote for a 3rd term of Bush is way dumber than any Republican.

Hillary and Bill were still hippies in the early 1970's. Hillary and Bill were so anti-war that Hillary joined the Sen. Eugene campaign in 1968 against the Democrat VP Hubert Humphrey. She and Bill were most active in the Sen. George McGovern campaign, even moving to Texas to stump for McGovern here in 1972.

    http://skirmisher.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/0...

So by 1975, after she had started her law practice, she wanted to join the military which she and "Draft Dodger" Bill had shown so much disdain for???

Hillary the Liar's comment sounded kinda interesting. It's really, really close to a couple of lines from the movie, "The Color Purple". When Shug Avery first meets Whoopie Goldberg she say's, "Yo shure is ugly". And later, Mister says to Whoopie, "You're black, you're a woman, ain't nobody gonna hire you."

Gee, wonder where Hillary the Liar first heard those lines? Maybe while ducking sniper fire and running for vehicles?

Sage. The new meme is that BOTH sides are being negative. EQUALLY BAD??? The Bosnia LIE was not from the Obama camp but from Washington Post fact checkers because Sinbad had brought up the Bosnia trip after Hillary had told the LIE on three PREVIOUS occasions. She lied when she said her "memory" wasn't from "prepared statements" but wants us to believe it was "off-the-cuff" like it was on those previous occasions going back to November of 2007 in Burlington, Iowa.

Sales dropped the most in the Northeast, falling by 40.6 percent. Sales were also down in the Midwest, dropping by 6.4 percent, but posted gains in the South of 5.7 percent and 0.7 percent in the West. Many analysts believe that the slump in housing, which began in 2006, could last into 2009. It was reported on Tuesday that the Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller index of home prices fell nearly 11 percent in January from a year ago, the biggest year-over-year decline in the history of the index. Analysts said that housing is being hurt currently by tighter lending conditions as banks react to soaring mortgage defaults and the reluctance of prospective buyers to make a decision, fearing that prices have further to fall.

OT but something I learned about Jeremiah Wright in the Chronicle for Higher Education.

In the early 1960s, at a time when many young people were being radicalized by the Vietnam War, Wright left college and volunteered to join the United States Marine Corps. After three years as a marine, he chose to serve three more as a naval medical technician, during which time he received several White House commendations. He came to Chicago to study not long after Martin Luther King Jr.'s murder in 1968, the U.S. bombing campaign in Cambodia in 1969, and the shooting of students at Kent State University in 1970.

Also, your new commenting system doesn't like the apostrophe in Ba'al

And by the way ... I got MY first pair of contact lenses in 1969. In rural Michigan, even. I was a junior in high school. What took her so long?

Plus -- I have a really hard time believing she even TRIED to join the military in 1975, since Viet Nam was anathema to our generation by then, and she was hardly a hawk.

As the school bus driver used to say to our girls when they were in elementary school (and evidently rather rowdy), "Keep sit down, shut up!", Hillary!

She is wreaking some bad mojo havoc that the Democratic Party absolutely does not need right now.

Baal. Due to death threats, threats to church buildings, Rev. Wright is canceling speaking engagements in Tampa, Fort Worth, and Houston. Wright has been a good friend of a couple of Houston's respected pastors and has preached at Rev. William Lawson's Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church here for 20 years. He had scheduled his speaking here before the recent brouhaha over his out-of-context snippets appeared on YouTube, Fox News, and now being kept alive by Hillary Clinton.

So Obama embellished on his resume by claiming to be a professor. He was a lecturer - big difference. He also said on several occasions that he was never in attendance when Reverend Wright made divisive statements, but in his Race speech he admitted he was. Are these lies or not? I reckon lies are only permitted for the candidate you support. Obamabrats need to stop trying to marginalize millions of Democratic voters who don't believe Obama is the messiah. You may discover in November that you've become the minority, especially after the Bush Justice Department is through with Obama.

I had thought that Texas might give its electoral votes to Obama, the first such since Texas last went "blue" in 1976 for Jimmy Carter. With only 60% going for "homeboy" Bush last time around, and with all of the new voters registering in record numbers, Obama was our best chance. The couple bought a house in Fayetteville in the summer of 1975, and she finally agreed to marry him....in October 1975.

Qualar. Nice try smearing Obama. He was a LECTURER for several years in CONSTITUTIONAL LAW at the prestigious University of Chicago Law School.

However, it is common for teachers, even high school teachers like myself, to be called "Professors". Webster's gives several definitions:

a: A faculty member of the highest academic rank at an institution of higher education b: a teacher at a university, college, or sometimes secondary school c: one that teaches or professes special knowledge of an art, sport, or occupation requiring skill.

From the U of C Law School blog, a professor says,

There is a lot to say about Senator Obama and his time at the University of Chicago Law School. (He remains affiliated with the law school, and he has an office on the fifth floor -- though the list of faculty members notes, in a way that seems at once proud and forlorn, that he is now "out of residence.") He was, and is, widely admired by students and faculty alike -- and entirely across political divisions. How well I remember past elections in which faculty members, who disagreed on a great deal, agreed that Obama would be a magnificent addition to the United States Congress. I think their agreement resulted from Obama's character (he's a genuinely wonderful guy), his evident ability and sheer excellence (for example, he's a terrific teacher, and we tried to convince him to join the faculty full-time on several occasions), and his independence and unpredictability (he toes no party line; he knows how markets work, and how government can make things worse).
  • grasshopper · 1 year ago
    1. I called all my college teachers/lecturers professors. Big deal.
    2. Obama said he was not in attendance for any of the sermons seen on video. In his race speech, he said he heard "controversial" comments by his pastor. That is not a contradiction.

These are pathetic attempts to equate Obama as a liar in the magnitude of Hillary's flying bullets. In addition to her lies about being anti-NAFTA, creating SCHIP, bringing peace to Ireland and curing cancer.

Hillary Clinton -- Soldier of Fortune...or is it Soldier of Opportunism?

This latest tale is one of Hillary's safer fabrications since there was probably no one around to catch her on video as she "considered" joining the Marines. I wonder if the "local recruiting office" that Hillary walked into to inquire about the Corps kept records of such inquiries?

Hillary is a pathological liar -- or else she's taking hallucinogens! -- and it's a pattern:

Jake Tapper reports that Hillary fondly recalls a trip that she took to Africa with former Ambassador Joe Wilson in 1997 -- a trip that never happened in real life!

    http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/03...

Today Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, at an event with former Ambassador Joe Wilson, said, "I'm delighted to be here with Ambassador Wilson. He and I did travel together to Africa and, sort of, paved the way for the president's trip the following year, which was historic."

That Africa trip was in March 1997.

Wilson didn't start as Senior Director for African Affairs at the NSC until later that year.

Is it possible Clinton was confusing Wilson with Susan Rice, Wilson's predecessor, who did go with her on that trip?

    Rice says yes.

Dr. Susan Rice, who really does have stellar foreign policy credentials, is a senior adviser to Sen. Barack Obama, and she has been harshly critical of the way Hillary has exaggerated her foreign policy bona fides, -- and Rice is in a position to know about Hillary, since she was part of Bill Clinton's senior NSC staff and is a recognized expert on African affairs.

So, why did Hillary erase Dr. Susan Rice from her mind -- and from the trip to Africa in 1997 -- in favor of a fantasy that she was accomanied instead by Ambassador Joe Wilson?

Finally, even neutral campaign watchdogs at Fact Check have nailed Hillary for hyping her foreign policy credentials.

    http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/hillary...

Liar, liar -- Pantsuit on fire!

Obama's own words and actions are enough to smear himself. Lies are lies regardless of how you or anybody else tries to define or substantiate them. That applies to both Obama and Hillary alike. I'm sure we can identify many more lies stated by both candidates, but it distracts away from the real issues troubling the electorate. Both sides need to stop the childish rhetoric which is dividing the Party.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who has been accused in recent days of padding her foreign policy resume while First Lady, admitted today that she may have exaggerated about an encounter she said she had with al-Qaeda terror mastermind Osama bin Laden in 1998.

In an appearance on NBC's Meet the Press on Sunday, Sen. Clinton told host Tim Russert, "I wrestled bin Laden in his cave in 1998 and had him pinned to the ground before the bastard got away."

But a review of Sen. Clinton's official White House schedule from that period revealed that the then-First Lady was nowhere in the vicinity of Mr. bin Laden on that day, but was instead greeting a group of honor roll students at Disney World in Orlando.

"I may have misspoke about what went on that particular day," Sen. Clinton said today. "But it was a very busy time for me, what with having that knife-fight with Kim Jong-Il and all."

Reporters peppered Sen. Clinton's new press spokesman with questions about another purported exploit of hers, in which the senator claimed that she and a ragtag team of blue-collar drillers deflected an asteroid on a collision course with the Earth.

"Everything Hillary Clinton says is true," said her new spokesman, the author James Frey.
