AMERICAblog: Hillary Clinton on "working class white southerners: Screw 'em

  • PeteWa · 1 year ago
Or, to put it another way, the Clintons have always been soft-right Republicans.

    (They smile in your face)
All the time they want to take your place
    The back stabbers (back stabbers)

I always felt that the reason that the wingnuts hated the Clintons so much is because the Clintons were so much more successful at playing the game the wingnuts had devised.

You know, I am soooooooo not surprised. Not that I believe the story without some sort of corroration. But her attitude would not surprise me. Given how she has conducted herself these past few months, I am not suprised at all.

Part of me just wishes that she and Obama had been able to Pres. and Vice (for her). But seeing how she conducts herself...I wouldn't want her anywhere near my dem ticket

My neighbor's dad, a white 50 something yr old ex-coal miner (disabled) living in WVA is voting for Obama. I'm a 67 yr old white NC woman voting for Obama.

And I'd like to know who in hell told the lie that "white working class women" were voting for Hillary? The only ones I know who might be voting for her are latte drinking career women who hardly see themselves as "working class."

Screw Hillary and the husband she rode in on...

But those Reagan Democrats were not friends of the Democratic Party. They defected and became Republicans. Clinton knew that her husband would not be able to get many of them and wanted Bill Clinton to focus on likely Democratic voters.

More importantly, Barack Obama is right. People are bitter in the Rust Belt as many others around the country who feel helpless as the world passes them by and jobs evaporate. Both the manufacturing and textile industries have been devastated. The once might furniture industry of North Carolina has been outsourced to China. Michigan has gone from a dynamo to an invalid on life support. The automobile industry, manufacturers, suppliers, and industries that supported workers have fallen hard. There are no answers.

In the 1980s, when the auto industry first began its long decline, we saw the growth of xenophobia in the Detroit area. The murder of Vincent Chin, a Chinese-American, who was mistaken for being Japanese, showed how much that anger affected people.

Screw Hillary and the husband she rode in on...

    What a great line!
I don't get it anymore. Last year I was excited to be able to vote for Hillary. I finally saw her tactics and a few Obama speeches and I was hooked. I was sure that Obama would fail. In fact I couldn't make up my mind between Edwards and Kucinich at first. What is wrong with Hillary? She is acting like she has no sense. Now I feel sorry for her as her supposed empire crumbles around her. KO was right, now she reminds me of Madeline Kahn when she was dragged from the room in that scene in What's Up Doc. Really pitiful Hillary. Please go away now.

You know Hillary, right back at ya!

Your husband didn't do dick for me as pres and I would expect worse from you.
  • KerrynowCampau · 1 year ago
She probably would just choose Lieberman as a running mate, anyway (unless McCain snaps him up first).

Good grief, already. Both MSNBC and CNN covering the pope's cathedral address--all of it evidently, pre-empting their regular broadcasts.

    Bastards.

Check out the picture in this link (work safe) - http://hilaryclimton.com/images/Hillary_Clinton...

Then ask yourself, can we really afford to have someone who looks like that with their hand on the nuclear button?

Charley Gibson and Steffy are running the debate tonite. Will be interesting to see if they show any favoritism. After the debate and before the Penn primary is the time frame in which Hillary is supposed to release the "dirt" she has on Obama; supposedly not giving him time to undo any damage. If this doesn't happen; don't blame me. Blame Sean Hanitty... (is that how you spell Hanitty?, Hannity?....whatever)...
