AMERICAblog: Hillary Clinton thinks it's a major issue when a campaign adviser meets with a foreign government about a trade deal. Or she did last month anyway.

Just imagine if Obama's top campaign strategists met with this Columbian group. The Hillary goons will be all over the talk circuit this weekend acting outraged!!! Yes of course, it is typical Clintonian double standards, that have been seen time and time again from the Clinton camp. They hope these covert acts will go beneath the radar, and that no one notices, but just like Hillary's Bosnian lie, it somehow surfaces. I cannot understand Hillary's supporters accepting all the mean and underhand stuff that has surfaced throughout this election. They sort of remind me of the Bush supporters, believing everything he says blindly, and following him like sheep dumbly.
Sometimes it is hard to believe that Hillary belongs to the Democratic party.
She really acts like a Republican.

I appreciate the Jed Report being so quick to expose Hillary, but they missed the most crucial part of that Canadian story. It was actually Hillary's ppl that met with the Canadians. Hopefully they are working on another video showing the Canadian Parliment in an uproar over the false report.

She is arrogant and she is a liar. She pays her bills only when she wants to, not when they are due. I relish the thought of dancing on her political grave as soon as possible.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
There's two ways to look at this.

    1. Hillary's double dealing again, with Penn as the go-between, which is very likely.

    Or,

    2. Penn has written off Hillary's chances of winning the White House and he's cutting a deal to do something against her stated policies because he figures she won't be around much longer anyway.

Good news for Obama. Poll shows the Wright controversy has not affected him nationwide. People still think he is someone they can relate to. In fact, a high
percentage of republicans think he is okay, compared to Pinnochio.

Further proof that Hillary needs to drop out NOW.

    Before she destroys the party.
  • SarainKC · 1 year ago
Hillary is now comparing her struggle to MLK- while she chokes back tears. LOL!

looks like McCain is feeling some pressure: http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008...

Speaking of double standards, why is it unacceptable for Wright to criticize America, but okay for Religious Right preachers like Falwell to blame America for 9-11 and Katrina? The Religious Right is criticizing our nation all the damn time.

The Dow is up again, even though the economy lost 80,000 jobs last month and lost a quarter million jobs so far this year.

Wall Street is out of touch with Main Street.
  • FNReedie · 1 year ago
Actually, the DOW is up because they keep seeing how our government is going to continue to prop up their earnings. We won't let companies go under -- as long as they keep donating money to Congress and the POTUS candidates. Just look at the $30 billion being floated to help the economy -- almost all of it goes to home builders who were at the center of real estate crisis.

I'm so glad we have a free economy. /snark off

The stock market reacts to the short-term profits of companies. If I lay off 2,000 workers, my short-term profit will go up. My stock will go up. The market will go up.

The market has nothing to do with Main Street directly. Over time, however, it will react.

Right now, the Dow -- adjusted for inflation (real inflation, not Bush's phony inflation figures) is about half of what it was under Clinton.

The media should crucify HRC over this one just as they crucified Obama over the Canada flap. But they won't. Because the stopped doing their jobs long ago and it's too late now for them to remember what reporting is all about.

Hillary's choice of Mark Penn really turned me against her. He's a scumbag. And one of his associates works for McSame.

Hillary needs to drop out. NOW.

Double standard for Clinton. Free pass for McCain. Smear the hell out of Obama. And the media...out to lunch with the GOP.
  • Asterix · 1 year ago
Hmmm. She's going to be speaking here tomorrow; I wonder if they'll manage to keep the hecklers controlled. Bill was in Salem last week and got some real heckling action.

I don't plan to go see her. She's appearing at a local high school. When Obama came through, he filled the university basketball arena.

    ---

I've wondered that myself... the thing is, the repugnicans are pretty much sitting back and enjoying the catfight on the Dem side of the aisle.

see, for the most part, its the clintonistas that are pushing the Wright contreversy into the MSM.

if it were mccain and the repugs, he'd be fucked. he's got too many ties to the religious right uber-whackos to comment on Wright's speeches.

The disturbing thing about this is that it indicates that Hillary isn't in charge of her campaign. Don't these people talk to each other. She doesn't know that Penn is running off canoodling with the Colombians? Her chief adviser -- and she doesn't know what he's up to? That doesn't speak very well for her so-called "experience."

You would think that her "experience" would have taught her that you vet the people close to you so you know what they're up to.

And isn't there anyone on the staff who looks at what she's going to say and points out potential problems? "Excuse me, Mrs. Clinton, but you never were under sniper fire in Tuzla -- and there is film of that event." "Excuse me, Mrs. Clinton, but you may want to soft-pedal this remark about meeting with foreign governments, because Jabba has a big meeting with the Colombians in a couple of weeks. That could end up looking bad for you."

That self-important traitor William Safire was on Jon Stewart the other night claiming that every syllable uttered by candidates was carefully crafted and painstakingly rehearsed (of course, he's trying to sell a book). If so, somebody on the Clinton team isn't crafting or rehearsing so well.

Exactly. How can we believe her when she's lied about her position on NAFTA.
  • ObamaMiracle · 1 year ago
Hillary is even more unpopular than her adulterous husband. The pair make me sick. It seems they are most skilled at lying. I guess they perfected it during the 90's when they were involved in Whitewater, the Vince Foster murder, the Monica sex scandal, and endless other skullduggery. Shillary needs to give up her failing campaign and let Obama, the people's choice, have the nomination.
  • Bobby_Sambang · 1 year ago
Hillary has now shown hands down that she has learned nothing about how to deal with and persuade people, since her Health Care fiasco. Seriously, she is showing you exactly how she would govern, through her campaign.

We have dodged a huge bullet, here. Hillary would have destroyed the DEM party in almost exactly the same fashion Bush destroyed the GOP. It's almost frightening to consider how close to Bush she is, in personality type.

    Simply amazing.

    Gary---Hi there!

I wouldn't read too much into Obama snubbing that gay rag. It is interesting that Clinton agreed to an interview with them though.

So Nigel, yesterday I was told I was part of 81% and now today you are telling me I'm only part of 52.46%. My suggestion for the 80,000 people that lost their job last month is to drop their resume off at a polling firm.

If anybody reading this is part of that 80,000, yeah, I'm being flip, but I do truly feel for you and hope the best for you...unless you're a repug.

Nigel, I'm donating $$$ to Obama this month, to keep the momentum going.

Clinton, McCain, the polls and the MSM can spin all they want - but those of us who can vote with our pocketbooks are doing so and Obama is winning by a wide margin.

If the nomination and election are not stolen from him, I predict a slam dunk win for Obama.

WASHINGTON - Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said she would defend gay rights as president and eliminate disparities for same-sex couples in federal law, including immigration and tax policy.

. . . Clinton's comments came in an interview with the Philadelphia Gay News that was posted on its Web site Thursday. . .

Clinton's Democratic rival Barack Obama and Republican John McCain declined the newspaper's invitation for an interview. The paper criticized Obama and highlighted his refusal to talk by leaving a blank space on the front page where his interview would have appeared.

Shame on Obama - and I am an Obama suporter.

OBAMA: I’m not in favor of gay marriage, but I’m in favor of a very strong civil union. Right now, states even where you’ve got civil unions still aren’t getting the same benefits at the federal level. So the federal government just doesn’t recognize them. And that is about 1,200 laws, rights and benefits that are not being given to same sex couples. It is it is very important that those laws apply equally. I think it is very important that we pass a human rights ordinance, like I passed along with another close sponsor in Illinois, to prevent discrimination in housing, in jobs.

I think young people are way ahead of the curve this issue. And I think it is important for the rest of the country to catch up and make sure that everybody is treated the same regardless of sexual orientation.

MATTHEWS: Isn’t it discrimination when you say people can’t get married?

OBAMA: I think that it is important for us to make sure that all the legal rights that are conferred in a marriage are also conferred in a civil union.

I wasn't actually supporting Clinton with my post. I suspect it is more pandering than her true opinion.

I'm not using gay rights as my measure this election cycle because I would be tempted to sit this one out.
