Hamline prof and Minnesota political analyst David Schultz says he's taking all the post-Tuesday talk about dream tickets and graceful exits with a very large grain of salt. At this point, says Schultz, "Everybody has realized that Clinton can't win, and that the tone she's taking is really damaging to her and the party.

.....people are speculating that she'll stay on long enough to go out a winner, after she's picked up West Virginia and Kentucky. I think what's really going to happen is what [Peggy] Noonan said: She's going to start to twist and slowly die. Her fundraising is drying up, and advisers like Terry McAuliffe are suggesting that it's going to end pretty quickly. I think you'll see the mainstream media increasingly just stop covering her.

"I think she winds up going out pretty ugly at this point......"

The going out ugly part is what bothers me. Until about 6 months ago, Hillary wasn't just the obvious candidate, she was the only contender that seemed to have the kind of recongition and influence that would make her not just a good president but an excellent one. She showed her nasty side as soon as believable opposition came on the scene. She handled that poorly, some might even say, rediculously. The end play has her in a nasty mood behaving badly. We don't want that in a president, we've already got incompetence and petulence in the Oval Office, we don't want more.
I'll step out on the limb and say it, it's a good thing we have such a long, drawn-out electoral procedure. It gives possible candidates plenty of time to relax in the lime light and act badly in front of the whole world. How they act under pressure is what we need to know and by golly, that poor Clinton woman came off badly. Yes, she did. Well, fine. Thanks for the memories, Mrs. Clinton. Go have another book ghost-written.

I don't care what you say, Erik Estrada is cute.

Her Bravo channel tv show could be called 3a.m. And when the women are voted off the show the get a stained blue dress and a cigar from Bill.

I agree Indigo....and she has no one but herself to blame.

    as Atrios said earlier:

I imagine over the past month or so people in the Clinton campaign have been marveling at their ability to manipulate the freak show, to introduce stupid narratives and bogus arguments into our discourse. And they have been amazingly good at it. I'd even admire it if they actually managed to, you know, win the elections instead of just making our discourse stupider.

I'm not sure why so many online Clinton supporters seem to be lashing out angrily at Obama supporters, instead of at the people who ran Clinton's campaign. If they'd just done things a little bit differently in February they'd have won this.

    Too funny:

Taylor Marsh e-mail campaign to SuperDs results in SuperDs running to Obama.

    Hillary Really?

Is this the impression you want to leave people with about your run in 08?

Ladies and gentlement, we are watching the Howard Dean scream of 2008, only its more of a long drawn-out moan that isn't just a made-up machination of the MSM to kill off Senator Clinton. No, this "scream" is completely owned and perpetuated by Clinton just not knowing when to bow out while she still has some "political currency" that she can parlay into an eventual leadership position in the Senate or even in Obamas cabinet. No one wants to admit they have been beaten, but denial only works for a very small period of time.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Before I read the post, I actually thought it was a Whitewater slam, since Erik Estrada is now doing infomercials for some land development in Arkansas.

Clinton Supporters Send Last-Ditch Obama Attack Emails To Supers

In more than dozen messages sent yesterday evening and shared with The Huffington Post, supporters of Clinton emailed a laundry list of political and exceedingly personal attacks on Obama's candidacy, including criticisms of his prior associations and claims that he, not Clinton, had played the race card...

Phil Singer, a spokesman for Clinton, emails to say that the campaign knows nothing about the emails. Meanwhile, two readers write in to say they saw the campaign being coordinated at the friendly Clinton website Hillaryis44.org, as well as the blog page on Clinton's own website.

didn't i tell you guys during her "shame on you" rant that she was CRAZY?

hillary STOP STALKING OUT FUTURE PRESIDENT,

LEAVE PRESIDENT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA ALONE.

    DAMN.
  • shanobama · 1 year ago
Yea, johnosahon, that rant made her look completely deranged...(enough with the big rallys, etc) christ it was s.c.a.r.y.

Stalking is a good word for her behavior now. She has co-opted Obamas slogans-yes we will?- and his themes. Isnt there some kind of psychological disorder that would explain her wanting to be him? Where can I file the restraining order?

I imagine Obama as the well-dressed CEO striding purposefully down a city street, eyes fixed on the horizon, who passes by, without really noticing, Hillary, the bedraggled paranoid bag lady, her few pitiful possessions in shopping cart, muttering with Tourette's-like insistence all kindsa crazy shit about "black" and "white" people.
  • KISSman · 1 year ago
Is she insane? Another debate -- at this point??

    LOL
