AMERICAblog: Hillary refuses to say when she last went to church or fired a gun - after touting her faith and saying how pro-gun she is compared to Obama

This clearly proves Hillary is a political whore of a lying cucking funt. She is desperate. Why doesn't she eat dairy cow dung in Luzerne to prove you are tougher than Barrack? This is like Barrack coming out and saying he has always enjoyed country, bluegrass and NASCAR ever since his days in Indonesia.

grandma, To be honest, I really think Hillary would make a good president but Obama will also be outstanding. The difference here is the fact Obama just ran a better campaign.

I see similarities between Hillary's campaign and John Kerry's campaign. Both hired staff that seemed to lose site of how they are perceived by the general population and react to the perception of the candidate much too late.

Hillary’s staff is killing her in the public relations department and with the Gun thing she is now DOA.

That is why I say it is time to quit Hillary.

    LOL Wright is 100% correct....

    Hold your nose..........

[W]hile Wright made no mention of terrorism, he did revisit the topic of America’s mistreatment of blacks, saying America’s founding fathers “planted slavery and white supremacy in the DNA of this republic,” and adding that Thomas Jefferson wrote, “‘God would punish America for the sin of slavery.’ I guess that makes Thomas Jefferson unpatriotic,” he said to the cheers of the congregation.

I'm so sick of politicians like Billary claiming to be people "of faith", yet obviously not practicing what they preach. Does anyone in their wildest dreams think either Bill or Hillary have stepped foot in a church for anything other than a photo op? They are the epitomy of amoral secularists. When you think of a Clinton, the words that first come to mind are corrupt, deceivers, philanderers, and liars.

Josh Marshall on Hillary and Obama:

This has to be one of the few times in U.S. political history when a multi-millionaire has accused a much less wealthy fellow public servant, a person of the same party and views who made much less lucrative career choices, of "elitism"! (I won't say the only time, because U.S. political history is full of absurdities of this sort.) In a way, it is funny -- and it may not be long before the jokes start.

Belinda: Politico is a right wing rag. To imply that Hillary is still in the game to save the Democratic Party is laughable at best. To think that the GOP won't obliterate Hillary with the history of Bill and Hillary over the past 20 years is to ignore that they would like nothing better than to pick up where they were during the bid to impeach Billo. I do agree with other people on here that at some point both Hillary and Obama need to go after McCain. He is vulnerable and can be knocked silly.

lynchie: "Belinda: Politico is a right wing rag."

What proof do you have of that? They have been the first to cover a bunch of HIllary's lies. Check it out: http://www.google.com/search?q=politico+hillary... The truth is the truth and as hard as it might be to admit it, sometimes it comes from the opposition Party.

The GOP have so much dirt on Hillary that it would blow your mind. They aren't stupid and haven't wasted any of it. They want Hillary to be the nominee more than anything so they have been holding back on attacking her and instead focusing on Barack. If by some remote possibility, Hillary successfully steals the nomination, she will be defeated within days by the juicy stuff the GOP has on her. Believe me, you don't even want to know.

After Two Days on Defense Over 'Bitter' Comments, Obama Turns Table on Clinton
    AP

Democrat Barack Obama lashed out Sunday at rival Hillary Rodham Clinton, mocking her sudden vocal support for gun rights and saying he understands the concerns of working class people.

"She knows better. Shame on her. Shame on her," Obama told an audience at a union hall here.

The Illinois senator has spent two days on the defensive after comments he made at a San Francisco fundraiser suggesting working class people are bitter about their economic circumstances and "cling to guns and religion" as a result. Clinton has pounded him for the remarks, calling him "elitist and divisive."

After reiterating his regret for his choice of words, Obama turned the tables on Clinton — mocking, among other things, her sudden fealty to the rights of gun owners.

"She is running around talking about how this is an insult to sportsman, how she values the second amendment. She's talking like she's Annie Oakley," Obama said, invoking the famed female sharpshooter immortalized in the musical "Anne Get Your Gun."

Hmmm - there may be an explanation for her violent mood swings and hazy memory. Recent episodes of throwing back shots appear to just be a more public showing of this lady's long time deep and frequent relationship with alcohol.

    NYT July 2006 -

Two summers ago, on a Congressional trip to Estonia, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton astonished her traveling companions by suggesting that the group do what one does in the Baltics: hold a vodka-drinking contest.

    ...

The after-dinner drinks went so well — memories are a bit hazy on who drank how much —

"The politics of the Karl Rove era were designed to distract and divide the very people who would ordinarily be rebelling against the deterioration of their way of life. Working Americans have been repeatedly seduced at the polls by emotional issues such as the predictable mantra of "God, guns, gays, abortion and the flag" while their way of life shifted ineluctably beneath their feet," - senator Jim Webb, famous elitist.

Hillary Clinton will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. (For the record, I'm an independent who voted for Obama in primary). Clinton will get to the convention with a close enough vote to made the superdelegates the deciding factor.

The superdelegates will then look at several factors:

    * party abandonment -- Clinton has the edge here. More Clinton supporters (29%) will switch to McCain than Obama supporters (19%).
    * performance in critical states -- Clinton's strong showing in Florida primary and Obama's ties to anti-Semitic Wright will mean Hillary has much better chance of taking Florida than Obama in a general election. Likewise, her blue-collar support is important in Ohio. And her Hispanic support is important in California, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado.
    * baggage -- Clinton has tons of baggage -- all well exposed, Obama is a big unknown. Just this week he revealed that he spent three weeks in Pakistan while in college -- something he has never mentioned, even in two autobiographies.

In the end, the superdelegates will do their job (as they imagine it) and vote for the good of the country (as they imagine it), and swing the nomination to Clinton.

I don't agree with it, but the SDs will decide that Obama can't possibly win a general election.
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
GrahamCracker, I'm not going to tout the intelligence of the SDs since I doubt they have many brain cells rubbing together but there is no way they will be dumb enough to swing the nod to hillary unless she first pulls a HUGE comeback and wins the popular vote and makes the delegate vote in the low double digits. One thing the might look to is hillary's unfavorability rating compared to Obama's. His is positive and hers is negative. She's not doing ANYTHING to win over those who view her negatively.
  • gustavmahler · 1 year ago
You are full of crap. Party abandonment? So Hillary is threatening to take her supporters and go play somewhere else? That is called blackmail.
Critical states- no one can predict any of this because the primaries have nothing to do with a GE. It was reported that Hillary's white woman vote is dropping in PA, if Hillary cannot get the white woman vote how can she get any other group?
Baggage? Oh, please, people have been digging for months and all they can find is a 3 week college trip in 1975? You think that is where Obama got his secret terrorist training? You didn't mention that Hillary lost Texas and won NM by .5%.
You ignore the wave of superdelegates going for Obama since Super Tuesday. There are only 300 or so uncommitted supers and based on projections Obama only needs 73 more. Hillary will need 230 of the remaining.
You have no idea what the superdelegates are thinking, we do have a history of the trend of the supers, Hillary's lead has gone from 90 to 29.
Please leave your mindreading to people that know what they are doing.
  • Nigel Elliott · 1 year ago
    Graham Cracker,

Obama spent three weeks in Pakistan during college and you think that's an issue? Pakistan was a stable democracy--even elected a woman as PM-- before Bush's dictator friend made Pakistan a base for Al Qaeda. The majority of Democratic (and Independents who can vote in Democratic primaries and caucuses) voters have chosen Obama. The voters are way more smarter than the undemocratic superdelegates who agree that Clinton, who can't beat Obama, could be McCain in November.
    http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com...
  • Belinda · 1 year ago
Nigel: "The voters are way more smarter than the undemocratic superdelegates who agree that Clinton, who can't beat Obama, could be McCain in November."

Just a reminder, but the corrupt superdelegate system was cynically pushed forward by the Clinton's themselves during the 90's when they knew they could buy off votes and sell access to the Lincoln bedroom. Until we change the system, unethical creeps like the Clintons will continue to abuse their influence and blatantly pay off superdelegates. The Clintons have played the cronyism card from day one.

"SEIZING MOMENT, HILLARY TOTES BIBLE TO GUN RANGE"

    Scrappleface
(2008-04-13) — Sensing an opportunity to portray Sen. Barack Obama as elitist and out of touch after his remarks about “bitter” rural Americans who cling to guns, God and xenophobia, Sen. Hillary Clinton stopped after church today at an indoor gun range, where she fired roughly 300 rounds through a handgun she said she carries concealed everywhere she goes.

Her lower lip bulging from a dip of Skoal, Sen. Clinton put her Bible in her handbag, and drew out her own Para Ordnance Warthog .45 caliber pistol.

As reporters looked on, the Democrat presidential candidate emptied one 10-round magazine after another, with fair accuracy, at a human silhouette target.

Wow, vodka drinking in Estonia, shots with the boys last night, now she shoots ducks, I am beginning to see where the memory problems are coming from.
I am beginning to think that this woman is just unfit for office. I don't know why the story of her secret fellowship is not coming out, we know all about Obama's church so shouldn't we know about Hillary's? Some other time? What would happen if Obama answered a question with 'some other time'?
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    GrahamCracker;

Interesting post, though I don't agree with it.

Any Superdelegates still on the fence are wimps by nature, and will likely go with the person who has the most delegates.

Besides which, I think Obama is the logical choice for any SuperD who wants the party to stay strong. They know Hillary is a cancer to Red State pols downticket. They also know the Clintons killed the party last time they had the White House.

Nobody buys that "vetted" meme. There are tons of White House papers yet to be release, they still don't know anything about Bill's library donors or his current business dealings, though recent revelations about Colombia and China have to be giving some of them the hives.

Finally, yes, polls state that more Hillary supporters will vote for McCain if Obama wins the nomination than Obama supporters will vote for McCain if Hillary gets the nomination.

All that shows is that Hillary is hardly the type of candidate who can help build the party if her own supporters are so weak about the Democrats. Also, it ignores the fact that the Democrats' most loyal voter base, the African Americans, will probably sit out the election if they view the nomination as stolen from Obama.

Let me clarify my earlier post, in terms of responses I got.

    (1) Of course it's blackmail if Hillary's supporters threaten to vote for McCain. Of course it's underhanded. But it is a factor and SDs will consider it.
    (2) Of course Obama's Pakistan trip is nothing wrong. It doesn't matter that the trip is innocent. It will be spun by the GOP to add to the doubts about Obama. And the SDs will consider that.
    (3) This isn't about right and wrong. This is about the SDs making a calculated guess as to which candidate has the best chance to beat McCain.
  • Belinda · 1 year ago
GrahamCrackerDC, the Hillbots who vote for McCain are negligible anyways. I for one would NEVER vote for Hillary. Everyone I know feels the same way. As Democrats we can't afford to vote for someone who lies so much and is willing to use dirty campaign techniques including racist photo-shopping. The Clinton campaign is desperate and no one should reward that by voting for her if she somehow manages to steal the nomination. I would venture to say that most Democrats feel that if Obama doesn't get the nomination, then we will sit out the election and McCain can go ahead and take the Presidency. That is the only way the DNC is going to learn their lesson.
  • SouthernYankee · 1 year ago
I agree with you Belinda. But if Hillary wins I will vote for Nader. I could never ever vote for someone that doesn't have my families financial interest at heart. I see Obama he the guy for me. I am 60 yr old women, white and made less than $50,000 yr. I have never liked Hillary because you can see her lie about everything and who wants someone like that in the white house.
  • ambrosia · 1 year ago
I could care less when Hillary last fired a gun or went to church. Doing or not doing either isn't going to help America. Recognizing that people are bitter and angry is. Obama wasn't wrong though he could have phrased things better. I come from the exact sort of place he's talking about and in times like we're now experiencing people do cling to the few rights they feel they still have, such as gun ownership and religion. And right or wrong they do blame things on immigrants. Again, he is correct! The thing that really irks me is that CNN has this forum on faith and compassion and then doesn't even address its own role in the issue. What is the Lou Dobbs show if not an hour long tirade against immigrants? The show wouldn't be on the air if it weren't appealing to people in some way even if it is appealing to their baser instincts. Once again, the media wants to throw dirt around but then pretends it has nothing to do with them when it's time to clean it up.
