john - i am asking that you stop using the term "steal the election" it is unfair and not true. he will have more delegates and she will eventually have more votes but both can not win. so there will be no "stealing" of anything. if you respect your readers you should stop using false and inflammatory words to the readers - go count how many times he uses the phrase.

The mantra of "steal" the nomination, "discarding", "ignoring" and "thwarting" the will of the voters will incesssantly continue because they are true, despite all the bitching, whining and moaning coming from the Clinton camp. Word spin will not steal the truth either. Just get used to these words. They will and ust continue to be used. The Clinton campaign and its minion can whine and moan, but they cannot and will not suppress the truth, though it is encouraging to see the truth giving some discomfort.

Not counting Michigan or Florida (absent a re-vote in each, which I support) Clinton will not win the pledged delegate vote, will not win the popular vote and will not have won a majority of states. Given all of this, Clinton has absolutely no moral claim to the nomination.
Therefore, until she has a moral claim (something more than the cock flaccid "the rules do not disallow theft" that have been tried and have failed by the Clinton camp) the term "steal" will continue to ring true in describing what Clinton is trying to do.
Clinton should gracefully exit or risk being rode out of the convention hall on a rail like good ol' Homer Stoke in O Brother Wher Art Thou.

Rugbyman- Oh give it a friggin rest. You can stop pretending Hillary can win by the rules any time now. The only possible way Hillary ends up with more "votes" is if she changes the rules so she wins by counting two states that were not in play, and disenfanchises every caucus state.
Last time I checked.. changing the rules of a game in order to win it in the middle of the game is cheating. Cheating .... is stealing. She would have to count a state that he was not even on the ballot of, and disregard all the caucus results to "claim" she won.
THE ONLY WAY CLINTON WINS THIS IS BY STEALING THIS ELECTION. PERIOD! The supers will have to overturn the will of the people to give this to Hillary... PERIOD.

Why do you use the word "eventually"? Sounds like you are trying to drag this out as long as possible. Nice try, but I'm sick of it.
Obama is the only candidate who even comes close to representing the ideals of the Democratic Party, and he's the only candidate who can beat whoever McCain chooses as his VP in the fall.

I hope that Clinton will support Obama when he becomes POTUS. As a junios Senator from New York Clinton could really help shining Obama's shoes (figuratively, of course) and carrying water (figuratively, of course) for Obama. 1. Michigan and Florida will be seated. Howard Dean (chairman of DNC) has said they will be. 2. Hillary Clinton shamefully broke her pledge and was on the Michigan ballot. 3. But she BROKE NO RULE. There is no rule -- it was a "gentlemen's agreement" among the candidates. There is no Democratic Party rule that Clinton broke. 4. Obama left his name off the Michigan ballot. Voluntarily. Honorably. Foolishly. 5. There is no "stealing" that will occur. If all 794 superdelegates vote for Clinton, or all 794 vote for Obama -- that's their right. Superdelegates are NOT pledged.

Using SDs override the will of the people as expressed in the popular vote and the pledgd delegates is theft and is stealing the nomination. The weak ass shit argument that the rules do not prohibit this theft do not work no matter how many times they are repeated. Just get used to the word "steal" until she is rode out of the convention in stupifying disgrace never to recover.

tbhull -but you will agree that when she passes him in popular votes in about 3 weeks Obama should drop out right? b/c using delegates to thwart the will of the people would be stealing and we know how you feel on that
tbhull

No, if Clinton comes to lead Obama in the popular vote (not counting Florida or Michigan unless a re-vote is held in either) then she has a moral claim to persuade the SDs and the nomination is anyone's game.
Currently Clinton has nothing. She cannot get the popular vote unless she wins NC, Indiana and the remaining states way big, which will not occur. By the way, I think a re-vote should be held in Florida and Michigan ran by the normal state party apparatus and paid for by the DNC.

I've been saying this for years now -- "everyone has emotional baggage but some people can get by with a messenger bag whereas some people need an entire set of Louis Vuitton matched luggage." I think it's safe to say that the amount of ammo which the GOP potentially has to throw at Clinton (which is, sad to say, quite a lot) puts her firmly in the latter category -- and if she should against the odds become the Democratic Party nominee, there should be no doubt in anyone's mind that every last piece is going to be opened up and aired out by the GOP.
