Should we psychoanalyze now? Is she a closet lesbian and, as such, unable to say the word in fear that it will give her away? Or does she just not like gay people?

I can well understand why HRC doesn't mention the word "lesbian". Two words, Huma Abedin:
have you seen this? Hagee backs off Katrina comments, kinda...
"As a believing Christian, I see the hand of God in everything that happens here on earth, both the blessings and the curses. But ultimately neither I nor any other person can know the mind of God concerning Hurricane Katrina. I should not have suggested otherwise. No matter what the cause of the storm, my heart goes out to all who suffered in this terrible tragedy. There but for the grace of God go any one of us." http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008...

It's probably more generational. She's probably not too comfortable with vagina either.

One thing everyone can agree upon, gay or no, is that Clinton is detestable, duplicitous, exceptionally unappealing on so many levels, a failed candidate and over.

I agree wholeheartedly. I hate to be politically incorrect, but why do we want those who embrace Hillary's deceitful values to switch over and support Obama? Frankly, I don't want bigoted scum like that on team Obama.

I'd be interested in the context of her answers re: Gay & LGBT.

I think it is fair, given Monica Lewinsky, that we conclude that Mrs. Clinton may have a problem with oral sex in any forum.

Interesting ... but the wrong analysis. Count the number of time each candidate mentions LGBT issues in front of non-LGBT crowds ....
Obama blows HRC out of the water.

Seems like she might be afraid of the carefully edited clips shown on continuous loop of her saying the word lesbian. The right wingers have tried to float a rumor for years that she is gay.
After her constant harping on the out of context clips of Wright it would probably be poetic justice.
ObamaVictory is either exceptionally dense or is a rethug troll trying to stir up as much Dem infighting as possible.

It wouldn't surprise me if 'tbhull' is a Hillbot. They're trying to flood pro-Obama sites with nasty comments about Billary in order to create a sympathetic meme that Hillary is some feminist martyr. These people are desperate if they thnk their Rove-like strategy is going to work. People can see right through Hillary's dishonest talking points.

I'm convinced that the gay wallet and the so-called "disposable income" myth are the focus when the Clintons talk about gays, lesbians, lgbt and human rights. Talking nicely about gay rights issues sits well with the liberals in limousines, as long as no gays and lesbians are riding in the limousine. The Clintons are prepared to say whatever it takes to open the gay wallet and to tap the gay vote. It's tokenism, pure and simple, and I've seen enough. They see nothing through the gay window, they're not interested in knowing about the gay window or learning about what the world looks like through the gay window. Obama is not likely to look at the world through the gay window but he knows it's there and he knows what the world looks like the another minority's window. So . . . in the words of that amazing woman, Nancy Reagan, "Just say no" to the Clintons.

"in the words of that amazing woman, Nancy Reagan, 'Just say no' to the Clintons."
I don't know if dissenting views are welcomed here or not. I enjoy reading the views of the other side and sharing ideas. I've been a Log Cabin supporter for several years and surprisingly a lot of our people are drawn towards Hillary. She is actually seen as a lot more conservative than Obama. I would never vote for her, but she's seen by many as being more 'family-friendly' and a supporter of traditional institutions such as marriage.

Of all the female political figures, Nancy Reagan had true class. I didn't agree with her husband on many things, but she was a person with true integrity compared to an empty suit like Hillary. Obama's words were so true:
"I think Ronald Reagan changed the trajectory of America in a way that Richard Nixon did not and in a way that Bill Clinton did not. He put us on a fundamentally different path because the country was ready for it. I think they felt like with all the excesses of the 1960s and 1970s and government had grown and grown but there wasn't much sense of accountability in terms of how it was operating. I think people, he just tapped into what people were already feeling, which was we want clarity we want optimism, we want a return to that sense of dynamism and entrepreneurship that had been missing."

Hillary should just come out of the closet. She was known to have had lesbian encounters in college (not unusual - many young women do) but the rumors persist and the link to her pretty young "body person" Huma Abedin certainly keeps those flames fanned. If she does come out, she'll get a huge boost in votes from hetero men anyway, seeing as we all love lesbians, right?

I wonder if the Log Cabin Republicans and the Human Rights Campaign, which are organizations that have zero 'gay-related' words in their names, are coaching Hillary. I especially hate HRC's name because they don't fight for all human rights, only LGBT rights. They could care less about Darfur, etc.
I have always felt that Hillary is homophobic, so this doesn't surprise me. People who have problems saying 'gay' are usually insecure about their own sexuality or the sexuality of their partners. Of course, this could all be a political strategy. Maybe she thinks that if she gets the nomination, she and McCain can get into a slugfest over who finds LBGTs more repulsive in order to get the 'Christian right' vote.
The Clintons consider LGBTs as wallets, and nothing more. Obama seems to be saying the right things, but he has had problems with the gay community in the recent past as well. Hopefully, we will get the chance to evaluate President Obama on this issue a few years from now.
Oh, and the "no 'lesbian' at all for Hillary" reminds me of the soup Nazi.
