AMERICAblog: Hillary's latest lie: I've won more states than Obama... if you don't count 38 of the 50 states

So when Obama loses in November will you blame Hillary or will you blame Michelle Obama and the alleged whitey tape?
Õ¿Õ
Yeah, I've heard about that. When is Hillary going to release it?
cowboyneok
What is the alleged "whitey tape" and if there is something damning out there it should have been released a long time ago.
Õ¿Õ
I mean, you chaoser wingnuts are all liars, basically, so let's see or hear it. Come on Hillary, did the GOP give you some "alleged tape" or did your "tdemocratic eam" dig it up themselves?
warsaw
"Alleged" is the key word here. Such a tape does not even need to exist in order for the smear to work. In fact, in some ways, it is even better if the tape DOES NOT exist for this sort of tactic to work in the long run. It's "alleged" existence is what matters most to those who would use it. This "Tape" meme could conceivably follow Michelle to her grave if it is properly disseminated.

Oh good lord please tell her to go away. This is becoming a junior high girls' lunch period.
Hillary honestly thinks she can beat McCain after this nonsense? It's over.
She needs to go away forever, and take Bill and the rest of the Clinton supporters with them. We will be just fine without their kind in our party.
jcgraham77
The dem party would be dead in the water without us. You act like the dem party wins general elections by landslides...we couldn't even beat Bush. How you gonna win without us?
lovepeaceandallthat
Well, actually we DID beat Bush, twice! Read Mark Crispin Miller's new book. A detailed, but scary, accounting of the 2000 and 2004 elections.
And who is this "us" you say we can't win without? Who, exactly? You certainly can't mean all the people who voted for Hillary in the primaries. Millions of those voters will vote for Obama. That is a fact. And many of them (millions?) probably would never vote for Hillary is their primary was held today.
AND many republicans are voting for Obama... more than anyone ever would have predicted. And Obama is launching an unprecedented voter registration drive. And young people really will make a difference this time, and generally they can't stand Hillary and abhore McCain.
So, I would say that the evil ones stealing the election again is more of a problem than Hillary supporters throwing the election to McCain. And how can you attempt to blackmail us this way, anyway? Are you really a democrat? Do you really really REALLY not like Obama? If so, why? What has he done that is so bad? Answer: nothing. It isn't about Obama with people like you, it is all about Hillary.
I think it is high time that Hillary supporters do some soul searching and ask themselves what they should do for the greater good here. It is difficult to step out of a pattern of defending Hillary, especially when she keeps giving you more fuel to stoke the fire. And you trust her. We don't. So it is easy for us to say: get out of the relationship.
But, still, even if you stay in the relationship you don't have to blackmail us and harm a high-quality candidate like Obama. It isn't like we are "stuck" with Obama. He is a GREAT candidate. Please, wake up and stop harming our country's future.

jc.. Sorry to disrupt your little hissyfit. Your "us" - the rabidly delusional - is not a significant number. Although you think rather highly of yourself, your opinion really is of little consequence - please take it, your stomping and pewling little tantrums, and your vote, and shove them.
John Aravosis

No, the question is how YOU'RE going to win without us. I'm a guy, it's not going to change my life if Roe v Wade is overturned. McCain invades Iran and starts a draft - so, I don't have kids. You Hillary supporters are making an understandable mistake - you think this is election is about a cult of personality, it's all about the candidate in your mind, not about the country. Well, sorry, but for most of us, it's the future of the country and not the candidate that we care about. So, you need to decide if you care about your country more than you care about Hillary. Then get back to us.

Your so right it is about the country, so why does it piss you off that some think the Senator Clinton would be better then Senator Obama. Personalty, neither is my first or second choice, but will back who ever it is, meaning Obama. Its now his to lose or win. to win we will all need to to but aside our feelings for each other and remember that the prize is not who is pure in spirit, but winning the goddamn presidency. And don't take my screen name wrong, I'm from Denver and moving back there the week before the convention, great planing uhh.

"We will be just fine without their kind in our party."
It sure is starting to feel like 72' and 80' all over again. We did not need 'their" kind then , too.
Sadly, she actually has beat Obama since February 20. The worse she acts, the more people love her. This country is so screwed up.

Isn't there a support group of politicians who have lost primaries and elections that could reach out to her and help her? I can only think of Nixon as being more of sore loser than her and she lost a primary, Nixon lost a presidential election. Good God, help this nightmare end.

What a curious woman. She will continue to eviscerate Obama right up until Wednesday morning and then play nice? I guess I would never be good a playing politics, I say what I mean to say and not pretend to be nice if it isn't warranted. On the other hand, what we are seeing is most likely Ms. Clinton's "truer" feelings and what happens Wednesday could be the lie if she makes an attempt to play nice. Watch out for the rabbit-holes. As Alice would say, "curiouser and curiouser."

Dear John, It's very generous of you to help Hillary with her math homework. But I must remind you that it is up to Hillary herself to actually take the math test and that you will not be able to sit with her, correcting her mistakes, during the test itself. She will either succeed or she will fail on her own. Hillary's problems with numbers have more to do with her illness than you might suppose. It is the underlying reason that she is here at Quiet Cove Sanitarium. Her remedial math studies are a crucial part of her therapeutic regime and your tutoring efforts, while kindly intended, will have no effect until Hillary begins to accept that the axiomatic nature of mathematics is not capricious and that no matter how much she wants it not to be so, one plus one will always, invariably, add up to two. Two things:
For all the talk about Obama camp disenfranchising voters, I'm sure the voters in caucus states don't like being DISENFRANCHISED by the Clinton camp!
Secondly, just saw Dubya present a mom and dad with a "medal of honor." There really needs to be something done about this administration and their 24/7 campaign mentality. Someone needs to tell them Scott McClellan already wrote the book on them, and Dubya needs to go take a nap somewhere and STFU! My God, they know how to add insult to injury by propping that narcissistic turd up and letting him grand stand on the honor and dignity of the troops he sent to die in Iraq based on his idea a war would make him a "great" President. That little punk doesn't deserve to TOUCH the medal of honor, much less GIVE IT to the surviving members of those who EARNED that medal!

I went to the MSNBC link and scrolled down the list of states and who won which by how much....I didn't realize how big Obama's wins had been. There are a few for Clinton where the margin is large, but most of Obama's wins have been by 20+% margins or more.
Maybe Clinton supporters have just been listening to the leader and not looking for themselves? I don't see how any one could look at the hard numbers and deduce that Clinton hasn't lost Big Time.

I need some serious answers to some serious questions: Obviously the Super Dels know the real truth about these claims that HRC is making, so who is she REALLY trying to influence? HRC also knows that the Super Dels know the truth, so what is she REALLY doing? She knows that they know....she knows that we know.....she is not that delusional. What is Really going on here? Positioning for 2012 or 2916? Positioning for a place in the bipartisan (to hear him tell it) McCain cabinet? My God, she tells likes that she knows everyone realizes are lies....she wouldn't make herself look this pathetic without an ulterior reason. Anyone have any ideas?
John Aravosis
I think she's trying to influence her followers. She's been doing this for 2 months now. Convince her followers that she really won and that the only reason she's not our nominee is because the media and the Democratic party hate women. That way, her followers won't support Obama, he'll lose in the fall, and she can run in 2012. Only explanation I can come up with.
Sage24
I agree. She is now acting the rabble rouser, and trying hard to influence her rather naive supporters. She will claim that the nomination was stolen from her. What next? Will she send a bus load of thugs to protest outside Obama's house? That shguld not surprise us, since she has used every Rovian tactic so far.

Yes, for sure. All you have to do is go to the Hilary Blog or No Quarter, and it's all there for the sane eye to see. These people are crazy. And I love the mass amounts of projection that you get at these places. Sure, I am an Obama supporter, but I would vote for Hilary if she were the nominee. I don't hate her. Yet all I see at these "support" blogs are people talking about how Obama is a Manchurian Candidate, how he's a pig. A scoundrel. A misogynist. A liar. Incompetent. A Race-card player. No evidence, mind you, just BS. And yet, they say that it's the Obama supporters who are hate-filled loons trying to take over the Democratic party. Someone plese explain. Because I don't get it. I NEVER saw the so-called Hilary hatred these people talk about over at Kos or anywhere else. Maybe a stoopid comment or two. But go to No Quarter and it's hate, hate, hate all the live long day. Am I missing something?

Clinton and her supporters are experiencing a bad case of Freudian Defense Mechanism.
The first level of defense is Denial: Refusal to accept external reality because it is too threatening; arguing against an anxiety provoking stimuli by stating it doesn't exist; resolution of emotional conflict and reduce anxiety by refusing to perceive or consciously acknowledge the more unpleasant aspects of external reality.
Hillary: "Obama's winning the popular vote? No he isn't. According to my math...
The next level includes Projection: Primitive form of paranoia. Projection reduces anxiety by allowing the expression of the undesirable impulses or desires without becoming consciously aware of them; attributing one's own unacknowledged unacceptable/unwanted thoughts and emotions to another; includes severe prejudice, severe jealousy, hypervigilance to external danger, and "injustice collecting". It is shifting one's unacceptable thoughts, feelings and impulses within oneself onto someone else, such that those same thoughts, feelings, beliefs and motivations as perceived as being possessed by the other.
Clinton supporters: "I'm not a racist, but Obama is. HE HATES ALL WHITE PEOPLE!@!@!@!@!@!@ OMGZ

It is obvious that Hillary is not only delusional, but insane. I have yet to hear one expert or pundit, say that she is ahead, or can easily win this nomination She is like a republican - stinks at math. She even reminds me of Bush, who kept saying we are winning the war in Iraq, and that he wants to stay the course! Hillary wants to stay the course, even though it is a loser's course, and she thinks by saying she is leading, she will magically lead and win. Only half brained twits will believe that garbage.

Taken within context, her statement was factual. Had she not mentioned the Feb 20 date; it would have been a lie. She still has a chance to win. Superdels can change their minds overnight and on a dime. Her supporters are many and rabid. They control a lot of the spigots of cash. If the superdels decide before the convention that Obama can't win the general; then they'll kill his candidacy. IMHO Obama will be the candidate; but it's not a sure thing.
