I think Hillary Clinton supporters will try to make the argument that national polls (some at least) indicate the Clinton has a better chance of beating McCain. I see two outcomes, both bad for Democrats. Clinton gets the nomination and can't beat McCain (Obama is actually a strong candidate) -- or Obama gets the nomination, but is so badly wounded from Clinton's attacks, that McCain still wins.

That's what Brazile picked up on, making a reference to Wright's willingness to join dozens of other religious figures in attending an annual White House prayer breakfast just as the Starr report on Bill Clinton's affair with Monica Lewinsky -- in all its lurid detail -- was about to come out. No doubt ...
... those at the event -- at least the vast majority of them -- highly disapproved of Clinton's behavior. But they were not willing to shun him.
Just when you thought the Clinton campaign couldn't get any worse, they manage to exceed their own worst behavior!
Bill and Hill are still locked in the 1990s -- when the bundling of big donors counted for a whole lot more than it does today -- which explains how they become such DINOs in the first place.
The Obama campaign has done a much better job of tapping into the grassroots and the netroots for campaign donations, and they have received a veritable avalanche of instant cash to refresh their campaign coffers -- and there is plenty more money where that came from.
Let the Clintons take their money and their big corporate donors and get the fuck out of the way -- they are destroying the Democratic Party with their tactics -- and good riddance!
One clarion call to the grassroots and netroots for cash from the Obama campaign -- or from Howard Dean on behalf of the DNC -- and the small donations will flood in to such a degree that it will leave the Clintons in the dirt...which is exactly where they belong at this point.
The nomination was Hillary's to lose when this primary/caucus season began-- and she has lost it!

I received the same or similar email from an Obama advisor doing fundraising for the DCCC so the that Dems can sweep the board in November -- and it makes perfect sense to want to increase the majority in both houses.
But, at the moment, I'm keeping my powder dry and my volunteering resources at the ready for whatever infusions of cash Obama may need in the coming weeks to win the nomination once and for all -- and then I can breathe a sigh of relief and send some money to a few worthy progressive Democrats running for the House and Senate.
I'm not sure that I would want to donate to the DCCC directly, because they don't support truly progressive candidates -- hence, I have a few progressive Democrats picked out to favor with my small donations because I don't want to see any more Blue Dogs and DLCers and wobbly wankers like Harry Reid in the House and Senate.

Race to the W.H. on now. Joe Scarborough just said Hillary should quit but he doubts very much that she will. Also they are reporting that a lot of Hillary supporters say they WILL NOT VOTE FOR OBAMA. It may turn out that there are more Democrats supporting McCain than Republicans.
The Clintons are out of control. Gregory says there is no Democrat strong enough to buck Bill and Hillary. And even if Obama should get the nomination Hillary will be running the Senate for many more years and she sure won't work with Obama on anything! The Democratic leadership is so weak we are in real trouble. Dean, Reid and Pelosi will never buck the Clintons. The Clintons know this and they know that no-one will fight them over this issue. God, I can't believe that I ever supported those two and actually felt sorry for them at one time. Bill and Hillary are now showing their true colors.
These Democrats who say they would not vote for Obama make me so ashamed of the Democrats. They can't seriously be thinking that McCain would be a better choice. If this election comes down to that I will never call myself a Democrat again. Will there even be a Democratic party??? I firmly believe that if we had any kind of leaders in the party this wouldn't have gotten out of hand like it has. Reid and Pelosi need to be replaced.
The only hope is that Obama is sitting back and waiting for the Clintons to implode. May be soon.

The Democratic party as many of us knew it is over, trying to steal the nomination is as low as it gets, unless you actually steal it. Those are the rules. Just like Florida and Michigan. Sorry, but I have to turn your own language against you. If the voters have a problem with the Super Delegates, then they should have gotten rid of them before the primary. If Pelosi didn't like the system she could have changed it as well. As it stands, she is making conjecture about something she doesn't like. Obama supporters are making up these arbitrary "rules" about how Super Delegates should vote. That was not the intention of Super Delegates. Pelosi knows it. Obama knows it. Clinton knows it. You know it too.
If you are going to complain, at least do it uniformly. From my persective it looks like cherry picking to me. Tough luck for Michigan and Florida, we gotta follow the rules. But we need to do something about the Super Delegate rules because that might hurt Obama. It is an illogical argument.

The error in your analysis is the assumption that just because the rules do not prohibit Superdelegates from stealing an election by nominating a candidate that is behind in the popular vote (not including Michigan and Florida) and behind in the pledged delegate vote (noti including Michigan or Florida) that the rules somehow endorse and/or allow the Suyperdelegates to steal an election. Today I received an email from one of Obama's top advisers, who was asking for donations for the DCCC. Joe Trippi is asking himself for us to help raise money to help circumvent (IMO) Hillary's threats.

I received the same or similar email from an Obama advisor doing fundraising for the DCCC so the that Dems can sweep the board in November -- and it makes perfect sense to want to increase the majority in both houses.
But, at the moment, I'm keeping my powder dry and my volunteering resources at the ready for whatever infusions of cash Obama may need in the coming weeks to win the nomination once and for all -- and then I can breathe a sigh of relief and send some money to a few worthy progressive Democrats running for the House and Senate.
I'm not sure that I would want to donate to the DCCC directly, because they don't support truly progressive candidates -- hence, I have a few progressive Democrats picked out to favor with my small donations because I don't want to see any more Blue Dogs and DLCers and wobbly wankers like Harry Reid in the House and Senate.

If you are going to complain, at least do it uniformly. From my persective it looks like cherry picking to me. Tough luck for Michigan and Florida, we gotta follow the rules. But we need to do something about the Super Delegate rules because that might hurt Obama. It is an illogical argument.
