AMERICAblog: Huckabee criticizes Palin

  • Jay Randal · 10 months ago
Huck eats squirrel and Sarah loves Moose stew > they should run off to Idaho to get married.
  • ChrisM70 · 10 months ago
Are you suggesting that they are Rocky (squirrel) and Bulwinkle (Moose)? :)

    Keel Moose and Squirrel!!

At least he didn't go with the "evil media bias trapped Palin" talking point. Huckabee always seemed like a nice, cool, guy who was strangely obsessed with Jeebus.

It's not unfair to elicit gross incompetence. How can the GOP possibly take her seriously?

    Let the games begin.

I want to put this comment on the record - WE SHOULD BE WORRYING ABOUT HUCKABEE.

This guy is going to spend every waking hour of the next 4 years kissing up to "middle America " and doing his damnedest to appear normal and as moderate as humanely possible. Plus, he now has a Fox talk show to get out his message.

He wants to be President BAD, and I think that he's learned from McCain's failure - he's going to try to be as "non-wingnutty" as he can be, but he won't lose their vote though, because he's already proven his loyalty to them in the past, as a fundamentalist preacher. I don't trust him, and I"m more afraid of him than I am of Sarah Palin.
    [end rant]

Absolutely right. Huckabee is cut from the same cloth as Rick Warren. On the outside they strive to appear moderate center-right (which, as our village betters have pointed out, is the dominant mood of the country). But underneath they're major wingnuts -- wolves in sheep's clothing.

I agree as well. He's light years smarter and slicker than Palin. And thus vastly more dangerous.

Palin may run mostly to try to save face -- like how Dan Quayle briefly ran for President in 1999/2000 -- and she's likely to attract a lot of press, but I seriously doubt she'll get far at all.

I think Huckabee is in fact very consciously -- and very wisely -- trying to disassociate himself from Palin. (While what Huckabee said about the Katie Couric interview also happens to be quite accurate.)

Palin is very entertaining, I must say. Her recent comment about Katie Couric thinking herself "the center of the universe" is utterly hilarious. Palin has poor awareness of her own lack of intellectual sophistication. Her actions and statements have high camp value.

But, back to Huckabee -- yes, no question, he's a threat. Much more than Romney, too.

You write: "The two will probably run against each other in 2012 for who can best represent the neanderthal wing of the Republican party. "

No contest. Palin is much further down on the evolutionary ladder than Huckabee. Much more in tune with the Repub base. He has a recognizably modern brain. She? Not even close.

Still can't stand the man, but he did rip into Ann Coulter as well.

I cannot imagine the American people supporting the extreme right wing for president, which are Huckabee and Palin. Huckabee will do a better job of hiding it but some of his previous statements will remain to haunt him.
Far as Palin, what an incompetent, unqualified, ridiculous pick for any elected office.

GO PALIN! w0000000t! (Huckabee is competent, and therefore far scarier than Palin...)
